My Sexy Black Cat Costume

So as you know from my previous post about Halloween costume ideas, I don’t celebrate the holiday, but I do love any excuse to dress up. I chose to be a cat again this year as I absolutely adore cats. I was a cat last year, but my outfit wasn’t really thought out, I just had a black top and jeans with some cat ears, so this year I wanted to be a proper cat with full accessories and I loved how it turned out! Everything except for the accessories are pieces from my own closet, so I was wearing my Miss Selfridge wet look leggings, my Zara faux leather peplum top and my Duo knee high boots. All three of these worked really well together to create the cat suit look, but I think the peplum just adds a little bit more femininity at the hips. I purchased the black ears, bow tie and tail in a set from eBay and then got the satin gloves from Ann Summers on the weekend. I had so much fun being dressed as a cat, even my own cats thought it was great! They loved my tail! I’ve always secretly wanted a tail, ha ha. What have you dressed as for Halloween so far? Or if you are waiting until today for your outfit, what are you planning on wearing? I love Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere’s outfit, she went as Katy Perry! It looked really cool! I would love to know what you think of my black cat costume though! Comment and let me know! I did put ‘sexy’ in the…

Halloween Outfit & Costume Ideas

Halloween is right around the corner and even though I don’t celebrate the actual holiday, due to beliefs, I do still love the idea of dress up being acceptable. I always love creating outfits and even as a child I loved dressing up as a princess, which is why for Halloween I prefer to choose the less spooky options for my costumes. Black cats for Halloween can be deemed as a bit scary, but as I’m very much a cat person and adore them, I don’t see it that way in the slightest. Last year, I dressed as a cat for my Halloween costume, and this year I was deciding between four different looks. A cat again, but with different accessories, Tinkerbell, Belle or Jessica Rabbit. If I could, I would definitely choose Tinkerbell or Belle. It’s always been a dream of mine to dress as these two characters and I am hoping when I eventually get to go to Disneyland I might be able to! I haven’t been able to find a costume that looked good enough to qualify as these two characters though and I don’t think I would suit Jessica Rabbit since I’m blonde, so I decided on being a cat again. Unlike my last outfit though where I just wore a pair of ears with a black top and skinny jeans, I’m actually going all out and wearing the look I created above! I’ve ordered the tail, gloves and bow tie to go with my shiny leggings, knee high boots and faux leather peplum top. I’m also planning on having red lipstick and cat like eyes.…

My Cat Woman Inspired Outfit

You may remember I did a product set for a cat inspired Halloween outfit. I’ve always loved cats and I was sort of excited to have an excuse to dress up as one! I went in search of the cat ears and found them at Topshop, my jeans are my Citizens of Humanity Rocket Leatherette jeans, my top is an old ASOS body con halterneck top and my shoes are Topshop Salma heels. I did my make up a little different too and went for a more cat eye style, however I never use heavy black as it doesn’t suit my pale skin, so I combined purple, blue and gold. I quite like the overall look and I would love to dress as a cat again, for a fancy dress party! What do you think? And what did you wear on Halloween?

Get Your Cat On – Sexy Black Cat Outfit

My family and I don’t celebrate Halloween due to the fact of what it represents, however I love the way the Americans celebrate the holiday as they don’t often do it with spooky and scary decorations. Even though I’m not going to a Halloween party or hosting one myself, I thought it would be fun to create a look that I would love to wear. As I adore cats, I’ve always wanted to be cat woman, so I’ve put together a sexy cat inspired look. I really love how this turned out, especially as it’s not scary, it’s just a regular outfit with a cat mask. I think it’s suitable for any themed costume party, not just Halloween. What do you think of it? And what are you planning on going to any parties dressed as? Since I love this outfit so much, I might actually go out and buy some cat ears if I can find some! To match my Citizens of Humanity jeans and my Topshop black heels!
