Merry Christmas From Lorna Elf

Merry Christmas From Lorna Elf Merry Christmas everyone for tomorrow! If you follow me on Snapchat (@LornaRaindrops) then you will know that I am posting my Christmas costume blog post today and I already mentioned that it was an elf. I love to dress up as I’m sure you are all aware of by now, so instead of doing Mrs Santa Claus like I did last year, I wanted to be one of his cheeky little helpers. So here I am as Lorna Elf! I got this elf costume from Escapade, which is the same place that I got my Wonder Woman costume, and I think it’s adorable. I didn’t have the striped green and red tights to go with it though unfortunately, and despite it being absolutely freezing (which luckily doesn’t come across in these photos!), they came out ok! I will be speaking a lot more next week in my New Year blog post about some of the changes for 2016 and ideas that I have planned, as well as doing a recap of 2015 which has been fantastic. I’m keeping this post short and sweet as I’m hoping to start enjoying my Christmas Eve now and Christmas Day tomorrow! Let me know what you think of this elf costume though and what are your Christmas plans? Lorna xx.

I Am Wonder Woman

My Wonder Woman costume for Halloween I’m sure most of you know that dressing up is something that I absolutely love to do, so anytime an occasion comes around, I will find a suitable outfit for it! As it was Halloween yesterday (I don’t celebrate the holiday but I always choose a costume for a shoot), I love to go all out and do something fun! 2 years ago I was Cat Woman, last year I was Tinkerbell and now yesterday, I chose Wonder Woman. I did want to be Mrs Captain America (for obvious reasons) but unfortunately the choices in costumes for her are really poor and there wasn’t one I could wear. Luckily though, Wonder Woman is extremely popular and after much stress and drama, I finally managed to get hold of my costume, 2 hours before the shoot was planned yesterday. Thank goodness it all worked out ok! I know Wonder Woman is kind of cliche and many women choose her, but for me, choosing Wonder Woman was for a few various reasons. She is strong, empowering and fights for rights, which is wonderful. I like to think that I am quite mentally strong and thanks to genetics on my dads side of the family and my tomboy childhood, my biceps and muscles are fairly big too, making me look like I could be strong! I am happy to report that it felt quite liberating wearing this out, ha ha. I guess you could class this Wonder Woman costume as on the sexy side, since the stock image shows it worn with suspenders, but I thought bare…

Wear It Wild Campaign With Me And WWF

Wear It Wild – My Leopard Print Outfit I’m really excited to announce that I have teamed up with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) on their Wear It Wild campaign! On June 5th, they are encouraging everyone to wear something animal printed (either full on, middle ground like me, or subtle) to help raise awareness and support for endangered animals. When I had found out that 52% of the worlds wildlife population had decreased since 1970, I was in shock. I know certain animals are becoming critically endangered (even some extinct) and a lot of the world gets destroyed for human living, but I had no idea just how bad it was. 52% is a huge amount in just 45 years. Doing the maths on that means if things carry on the way they are, it wont be too long before it’s all gone and that’s devastating. I’m sure you know by now that animals are something that I care deeply and passionately about. I am most at home when I am with animals and surrounded by nature. Even though I’m a fashion blogger and I love clothes and shopping, I still feel most relaxed and content in nature. I have always had a strong pull towards it, especially as a kid, I would live outside with the bugs and make dens etc and be in my absolute element. Now I have more of an understanding of how important the earths natural survival is, I like to be able to help. I always go out of my way to care for injured or helpless animals, even insects as I’m a…

Happy Easter Everyone!

Happy Easter Everyone! I wanted to wish you all a very Happy Easter Sunday today! I hope you enjoy spending it with your family and friends, but don’t eat too much chocolate, ha ha! As you know, I love any excuse to dress up and wear a costume, so this year I decided to be a little bunny with ears, a nose and whiskers! Last year I wore my bunny onesie for the photos, so I wanted to do it a little bit differently this year. I have posted a video of me hopping around for a laugh on my Instagram, which you can see by clicking here, so I hope you find it funny! Have a lovely day today! Lorna xx.

Merry Christmas From Mrs. Santa Claus

As you know, I love dressing up for any occasion! Having been Easter Bunny, Tinkerbell, Cat Woman, an Elf etc, I couldn’t wait for Christmas to come around so I had another excuse to dress up in a costume! This time, I went all out and decided to be Mrs. Santa Claus! I had a hard time trying to find a costume that I thought was good enough, one that fitted well and one that looked pretty at the same time as looking authentic, but I found this really cool one on Love Honey and bought it instantly. It was a great price and being a local company, that was even better! I paired it with my DUO black boots, as I thought Mrs. Santa Claus would wear black boots with her dress and I quite liked how it turned out. I know you might be thinking, “wasn’t it freezing wearing this out in December?” The answer to that question is yes, it was, and I’m sure you can tell as my legs went white and funny looking, ha ha. Anyway, I wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! I truly hope you have a lovely day with friends and family and enjoy lots of food, love and of course, presents! I’m having two Christmases this year since I spent last week with Adam for our Pre-Christmas and then tomorrow I’m spending the day with my family! I’ve definitely started eating way too much already though! What are your Christmas plans? I would love to know! And of course, please do let me know what you think of…

Tinkerbell

Happy early Halloween everyone! I truly do love any excuse to get dressed up and Halloween is one of the best of them. My family and I don’t celebrate the holiday, so that’s why I’ve shot these photos early and am sharing them with you now! I’ve always wanted to be Tinkerbell as she’s been my favourite Disney character since I was little, so when I found this gorgeous adult Tinkerbell costume on Sparkling Strawberries, I knew this was the one for me! I usually struggle finding a costume that looks really good and fits well, so it’s like a dream come true! I absolutely adore it! So, I got dressed up early and headed out into the woods to shoot these photos with Adam. Yes, I did get some funny looks from passing hikers, one of them even said that he had never seen a real fairy in the woods before, ha ha, but hey, there’s a first for everything right? I also can’t get over the fact that I have a pair of wings so wearing this outfit to me was like being a kid in a massive candy store all over again! The jewels on the front of the dress are super pretty and the piping makes it act like a stretch corset all around, so it fits well too. Last year you might remember that I dressed up as a cat, and I’m already deciding what I’m going to dress up as for Christmas and next Halloween! I can’t wait! What are you other fashion bloggers dressing up as? I would love to know what you…

Happy Easter From The Lorna Bunny

I wanted to wish you all a very Happy Easter! I hope you are having a wonderful day and have been enjoying your long weekend so far! Usually when it’s Easter, I do something different for my annual blog post. I made my own bunny ears two years ago and then made an Easter collage last year, so this year I thought I would up my game and do a bunny outfit! I’ve had this bunny onesie from Topshop for about 2 years actually, but never thought about wearing it on the blog as onesies aren’t exactly considered to be too mature, but I thought it would make a fun and playful post this time around as I don’t take myself too seriously, as you can clearly see from these photos! It also helps that I live in the countryside so I have a lot of woodland area close by to go with the bunny theme! I hope you all have a great rest of the day and don’t get sick by eating too much chocolate! Happy Easter again from the Lorna Bunny, ha ha! Lorna xx. LookFantastic have a 20% off code for Easter called EASTER20 which means you can get 20% off make up and beauty products! Including Benefit, Lord & Berry, GHD, Murad etc! Don’t miss it! Shopbop/East Dane have an amazing sale right now too on Rag & Bone, J Brand, Rebecca Minkoff, Citizens of Humanity, Wildfox and more! ASOS also have a fantastic Easter sale right now! As do Topshop! Check them out!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

I wanted to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas for 2013! I’ve been feeling really festive this year and have been enjoying Christmas jumpers, decorations, present shopping and everything! It’s been so much fun! Last year I wore a little Santa hat to wish you all a Happy Christmas, so this year I thought it would be cool to make this Christmas post really inventive, so I dressed up like an Elf! I wore my Paige Paisley Print Green Jeans with my ASOS Red Ribbon Reindeer Jumper. I thought the red and green was a good option for dressing up like an Elf and then I found the perfect Elf hat in Clintons last week! It has bells all over it so it sounds really jingly when I walk as well, ha ha. I was hoping to find the perfect location for this outfit, so I actually went into town to shoot the photos by the new Aspen style Ski Lodge which just moved in for Christmas. It’s decorated perfectly with trees, logs and lights and the best thing about it? All of the fake snow! It was the perfect setting! I hope you all have a wonderful day today and enjoy it with your family! Merry Christmas everyone and thank you so much for all of the support you give me! Lorna xx.
