It’s My Birthday Today!

I can’t believe it’s my 28th birthday already! 28… It feels really weird thinking that I am just 2 years away from the big 30, but at the same time, it doesn’t make any difference to me either. For me, age has always been just a number and you really are only as old as you feel, but it might help for me because I don’t look 28 at all. Everyone still thinks I’m about 18, which can be a hindrance and a blessing at the same time. I know it will be great when I’m older as I will still look really young, but currently, not everyone takes me very seriously as they think I’m so young. In fact, I’m not even sure anyone believes me when I say I’m not in school, I’m 28 and am self employed. I’m pretty sure those people think I’m making it up, ha ha. However, I will say that this age is actually the best I have ever felt when it comes to my mentality. The older that I get, the more maturity, clarity and acceptance comes with it. I’m extremely happy with myself and who I am as a person, despite all the illness, so I’m very happy to say that I’m pretty sure I have found myself (sorry to use an expression I don’t usually like, but nothing else seemed fitting) and am extremely comfortable with who that person is. Everyone says your 30’s are the best years of your life, so I’m actually really excited to get there in a few years and keep on growing as I am.…

The 70’s Floral Co-Ord With Culottes

70’s retro floral co-ord suit with culottes and a crop top How cool is this co-ord suit? That was my very first thought when I saw this on ASOS a couple of weeks ago. I do have a thing for co-ords as I love the full effect of a printed suit, but this one is definitely taking things to a new level for me! The trousers are almost culotte style or a cropped kick flare and the jacket is sleeveless, all while having a retro 70’s floral vibe to it! It’s definitely very ‘flower power’ in my opinion! I thought pairing this look with a burgundy crop top would give it that injection of colour that it needed to pop as the white one that I tried ended up looking too bland. I then went with a classic and modern shoe in the form of my Christian Louboutin Pigalle to bring it into this century, rather than some platforms which would really date it. I know this is something very different for me and I’m really enjoying that at the moment! I’d love to know what you think and whether or not you like this outfit! Do you think fashion blogs should be more daring and bold with outfit choices?

My Watch Collection

I thought it might be fun to share with you my watch collection! Over the past couple of years I went from being a girl who never ever wore watches, to gaining a collection of 12! I didn’t even realise I had this many watches until I started putting this post together though. Of course, I still have plenty of watches on my wish list, some of them too expensive so I will never been able to own them, but others are more attainable. The Watch Gallery has been responsible for a lot of my expensive taste in watches, ha ha! They have some beautiful watches which I love and have included at the bottom of this post as a gift guide or wish list! Anyway, I’m going to start from the beginning and explain a little bit about each of my watches, so here we go! The watch above was one of my very first ones that I purchased about 3 years ago from ASOS. It was really cheap and I loved the metallic rainbow strap that it had on it with a gold face. I bought it specifically so I could wear it with my colourful bracelets and it definitely became one that I wore quite often! Isn’t it pretty? I love how the colours transition into each other! Next up was when I purchased my first expensive designer watch and it was my Marc by Marc Jacobs Blade Chrono Watch in Rose Gold. I had to get some links removed from it because it was too big, like most bracelet watches, but it’s probably been the watch…

New Autumn Purchases – Part 2

I am aware that it’s not Autumn anymore, it is in fact Spring… However, this post somehow slipped away from me! Back in November I posted part 1 of my new purchases, but for some reason I never got around to posting part 2! I literally just found these images in a folder on my desktop and thought that I would still share them with you as you haven’t seen any of these pieces yet! Plus, I think any Autumn leaves background makes any fashion blog photos look pretty! Don’t you? Above is a basketball t-shirt that I picked up from Topshop all the way back in October, however since the weather got really cold, I haven’t been able to wear it. I’m hoping that I can wear it soon though as I have outfits planned for it! I’m thinking black skinny jeans or denim shorts! I loved this top so much when I first saw it, I think it’s the burgundy sleeves that got me! I do love burgundy! Now these skeleton leggings are also from Topshop and I purchased them around Halloween in October. I thought they were really cool and they look really quirky when worn, so I might do an outfit soon with these! They are really thin leggings though which is why I haven’t had the chance to wear them yet!

Denim On Denim On Denim

(Jeans – Exact, Shirt – Similar, Shoes – Exact, Bag – Similar) Those of you who have followed my blog for a while or know me quite well will already know that I do have such an obsession with denim. I thought I would pay a tribute to that and wear an all denim look! I have on a triple denim outfit here as the bag is even made of it! I decided to wear my new Citizens of Humanity Rocket Skinny Jeans in Byron Bay which I paired with my Topshop Denim Shirt. I wanted to bring a little bit of colour to the outfit so chose my Mulberry Alexa Clutch in Loopy Leopard Denim. For my shoes, I wanted something neutral, but wanted a pastel colour instead of nude, so I opted for my new ASOS Pastel Pink Heels, the same ones you just saw in my Valentine’s Day outfit. I always seem to feel at my most comfortable when I’m wearing denim, or just jeans in general. There is something about the fabric that makes me feel relaxed and at ease, I have no idea why. I hope you are all having a lovely week! As always, let me know what you think of the outfit in the comments below!

A Day Out Shopping & Eating With Me…

I thought I would do something a little different for this post and make it more of a day out with me. I took photos throughout my day when I was out in town with my boyfriend, so I thought it would be a good idea to share that with you! We started out by having a light lunch in Prezzo (one of my favourite Italian restaurants) where we just had a salad, which you can see above. The rest of the day included outfit photos, shopping, walking around, coming home and watching movies while enjoying Chinese food for dinner which we ordered from Just Eat, the online takeaway provider! I hope you like it!

Valentine’s Day In Romantic Pink

(Dress – Exact, Blazer – Similar, Shoes – Exact, Bag – Similar, Necklace – Similar) Happy Valentine’s Day everyone, for yesterday! I wanted to share with you another Valentine’s Day inspired outfit, but this one is different to my previous one as it’s baby pink and white instead of dark burgundy. I wanted to go for something a little more girly and romantic this time around. If you are thinking that I must have been freezing taking these photos, you are correct, ha ha. I was wearing a baby pink dress from ASOS and a pair of their pastel pink heels to match. I layered my Zara white blazer over the top and wore my Mulberry denim candy pink Lily bag as well. The rose that I’m holding was what my boyfriend gave to me yesterday, I thought it added a nice touch to the look. I also had on my Topshop necklace which I have worn quite a few times before. I didn’t take any photos while I was out yesterday as I wanted to enjoy the day with my boyfriend without any photo stress, but we did go out to lunch at our favourite Italian and then watched a movie at the cinema. It was a really nice day together and I had fun! I hope you all had a lovely Valentine’s Day too! What do you think of the outfit?

Merry Christmas Everyone!

I wanted to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas for 2013! I’ve been feeling really festive this year and have been enjoying Christmas jumpers, decorations, present shopping and everything! It’s been so much fun! Last year I wore a little Santa hat to wish you all a Happy Christmas, so this year I thought it would be cool to make this Christmas post really inventive, so I dressed up like an Elf! I wore my Paige Paisley Print Green Jeans with my ASOS Red Ribbon Reindeer Jumper. I thought the red and green was a good option for dressing up like an Elf and then I found the perfect Elf hat in Clintons last week! It has bells all over it so it sounds really jingly when I walk as well, ha ha. I was hoping to find the perfect location for this outfit, so I actually went into town to shoot the photos by the new Aspen style Ski Lodge which just moved in for Christmas. It’s decorated perfectly with trees, logs and lights and the best thing about it? All of the fake snow! It was the perfect setting! I hope you all have a wonderful day today and enjoy it with your family! Merry Christmas everyone and thank you so much for all of the support you give me! Lorna xx.
