Life Through My Instagram – @LornaRaindrops

It’s been such a long time since I shared any of my Instagram photos with you here on my lifestyle and fashion blog! I hadn’t realised just how long it’s been, so I’m putting a stop to the wait and have rounded up some of my favourite ones for you to take a look at. I know some of you have seen most of these since you follow me there (@LornaRaindrops), but for those of you who are just readers of my fashion blog, I hope you enjoy a more personal touch with these photos. I often share what I’m eating, what I’m up to, outfit previews and more on my Instagram and then an even more personal touch on my Snapchat (@LornaRaindrops) by sharing videos of where I am, what I’m wearing, what I’m up to and just general news, so please do follow me on my social media channels for a more personal feel! Otherwise, please enjoy these photos and let me know which ones are your favourites and what you think of them! Plus, thank you for making me hit 30,000 followers on Instagram! That means so much to me to have all of your support!

Life Via Instagram Lately – @LornaRaindrops

As you know, I update my Instagram account (@LornaRaindrops) multiple times a day with various behind the scenes photos that I don’t post on my blog, so sometimes I like to round up a few of my favourites to share with you here for those of you who missed them or don’t have Instagram. I think out of all the social media accounts that I have, Instagram has to be my absolute favourite! I can’t get enough of it as it’s so fun to share your photos instantly and check out what other people are up to. It’s like blogging in an instant format, which is why I think it’s so popular and used by everyone, not just fashion bloggers. If you do want to keep up to date with me on a regular basis, to see what I’m doing, previews of my outfits way in advance before they are live here, behind the scenes photos, new purchases, my adorable kitties and more, I would love for you to follow me! It’s an easy way to keep up to date and see what might be coming up on Raindrops of Sapphire in the coming weeks! I hope you like these photos, please comment and let me know what you think!

Life Via Instagram Lately – @LornaRaindrops

I have to admit that Instagram is probably my favourite social media outlet to share everything with you on. I know that it tends to be separate from my blog as well as I have a lot of comments and likes from followers who only follow me on Instagram and others who only follow my blog, so as the two are often quite separate, I think it’s important to share some of my favourite Instagram snaps with you on my blog too for those of you who have missed them! If you do have the app, I would love for you to follow me @LornaRaindrops and see what I’m up to on a daily basis! I do fill it with photos of food, new purchases, gifts, scenery, my cats, outfit previews, selfies and more! I hope you enjoy these photos! Comment and let me know!

An Early Christmas In London

As I mentioned in my previous post, I was taking a few days off from work and blogging to have a break. Adam and I took a trip to London from Wednesday until today, to spend an early Christmas together since we don’t get to spend the actual day with each other. We stayed in The Cumberland Hotel which is just off of Oxford Street and we had two and a half days worth of shopping time and exploring the Christmas lights. We didn’t worry about seeing Big Ben, the London Eye or Buckingham Palace again, we have seen the sights numerous times, so this time we just concentrated on buying the things we wanted in the sales and enjoying Christmas a little early! I even got to meet Santa (yes, he was the real one!) in Selfridges which excited me! It took me back to being a kid again! We ate in the hotels Brasserie, Prezzo and Wagamama, as well as getting our usual snack pieces from Marks & Spencers. It was really nice exploring all of the shops and this time actually doing more shopping for Adam than myself. I only picked up a couple of things in Topshop, a jumper in the sale at Diesel and some chocolate from Liberty. Adam was lucky enough to find a pair of his Bottega Veneta moccasin shoes at half price in the boutique and pick up a jumper in Gap, among a couple of other things in other stores. It was great being able to check out J.Crew in person too! Overall, I had a really lovely time in London…

Some Updates Via My Instagram @LornaRaindrops

The clocks just went back last night for daylight savings time and this always leads me to so much confusion! I’m always left wondering what the actual real time is and getting hungry at the wrong current times, it’s a nightmare lol! Does anyone else dislike it when the clocks change? Anyway, I’ve been taking some really pretty photos of scenery lately while being outside and as Autumn is so gorgeous, I had to share the shots with you! Of course I have also included some sneak peek outfit previews of ones I haven’t yet posted and more, so I would love to know which one you like most and I will post it next! I hope you are all having a lovely weekend. I’ve been looking after my mum for the past 10 days as she’s been really ill, but she’s getting better daily and the anti-biotics are definitely working which is a relief, no more emergency doctors visits! I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who wished her well on Instagram and were asking if she had got better, that’s incredibly kind of you and very supportive, it means a lot to me. I did take a few hours off yesterday though to recuperate and I went out to lunch with my dad and brother. I had a lovely day, despite it being freezing and me wearing a Christmas jumper when nobody else was, I really enjoyed it! Ha ha! So here are some of my latest Instagram snaps for you to see! I hope you will follow me on Instagram too as you…

Some Updates And Instagram Snaps

I want to fill you all in on a couple of things that happened this week and explain why I haven’t made an update in a little while. For those of you following me on social media, you will already know that unfortunately my blog got messed up and was sending out a lot of useless spam which meant it had to be taken off line in case it infected anyone else on my server. This was why a lot of you couldn’t access Raindrops of Sapphire on Thursday. Thank you to everyone who sent me messages to check everything was ok and shared concern though, I really appreciate that. It’s nice to know just how much my blog means to you all 🙂 Luckily, I was able to get it fixed on Thursday without too much of a hiccup. One of my friends, Ryan, is really good at the tech stuff that I’m not and offered to help out and remove all the coding, so I am really grateful for that. It meant that it got fixed quite quickly and not too much damage was done! So, I’m saying another huge thank you to Ryan for this! He’s been a life saver since my blog is a huge part of me. I can’t even begin to explain the stress it caused! But, that’s all fixed now *hopefully* and I’m making this little update for you. It’s been some time since I shared with you some Instagram snaps from my account (@LornaRaindrops), so I thought I would show you some of my best ones from the past few months.…

Some Quick Instagram Snaps From London

As I explained in my previous post that I made on Monday, I took a holiday break in London with my boyfriend. We stayed in The Cumberland Hotel which is literally just off of Oxford Street and right next to all of the shops. Selfridges was within a 5 minute walking distance and the majority of the other shops were close too, which was amazing. It’s also located right next to Hyde Park, so I definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to see London! It’s worth the money as it’s gorgeous inside too! We did lots and lots of shopping, going in Selfridges, Zara, French Connection, Victoria Secret, Cambridge Satchel, Butler & Wilson, Chanel, Jimmy Choo and loads more! I’ve got quite a few things that I ended up buying, including 6 new bras from Victoria Secret which I have been living in, a new Cambridge Satchel in yellow which is an early birthday present to myself and a grey glitter one from my boyfriend, but I can’t have it yet. Both were in the sale too! I got a top from French Connection which had been reduced £11.50, some new Butler & Wilson jewellery, some chocolates from Liberty, some new Pixi lip balms which I adore, a linen dungaree piece and spotted tee from Zara and I think that’s it! I will be making a purchases post for you soon though so you can see everything. But anyway, here are the snaps that I took from London for Instagram (@LornaRaindrops) from my iPhone as I never took the real camera. Enjoy!

My 6 Year Anniversary London Holiday Via Instagram

So as you know, it was mine and Adam’s 6 year anniversary over the weekend and we took a short holiday to London to celebrate it. I hadn’t been away since last year when I went to Italy, so it was really nice to do something fun again! We stayed in The Grosvenor Hotel in Victoria for 2 nights and had a great time! We left early on Friday morning and arrived at the hotel around midday, where we checked in and then got ready to go out and explore. You can see my little Instagram photo diary below with the writing underneath each photo, explaining everything! We must have done so much walking, it was crazy. My whole body was hurting and despite being in a lot of pain a lot of the time, I had a wonderful time and would love to do it again some time! I hope you enjoy the photos! I will be posting my travelling home outfit and more in the next set of posts!
