It was the month of my birthday and even though that was at the beginning, it still feels like it was months ago in a really weird way, however the year as a whole has flown by. It was only Christmas not long ago, I’m sure! I’m thinking that it’s even weirder that I’m going to be 30 in 11 months time! That’s insane! It’s relevant though as every year that goes by, my personal style evolves a lot more and it’s interesting to see how much it’s changed since I started blogging (which you can see here if you missed it). So, with that in mind, what’s on my Currently Craving Wish List for August then? A lot of things! As you can see from the collage above, my mentality is happily transitioning into the Autumn with the pieces that I’m craving and loving. I can’t wait for the weather to cool down so that I can start wearing layers again! Gosh, layers, remember those? I’m loving floral and embellishments at the moment, so that Rebecca Minkoff bag and the two Gucci options are so gorgeous! I’m happy just to stare at them. The Furry Slides & Sliders Trend Review + My Top 12 Picks Ok, before you think I have gone crazy with this blog post, hear me out! Since I’m going to be covering my thoughts on trends and different types of posts like that as well here on Raindrops of Sapphire, I thought starting out with a trend that’s quite controversial (it’s literally like Marmite) would be interesting. The fur slides trend has been popular since Rihanna brought them out with her collaboration with Puma late last year, so it’s not completely new. Celebrities have been wearing them for many months as well, like Khloe Kardashian, Sofia Richie, Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and more, so it’s definitely something that everyone is seeing out and about. I wont lie as I never like to, so I will say that I thought fur slides were ridiculous when I first heard about them and saw them. I thought ‘Why on earth would anyone want a pair of slides with fur on them? Surely it defeats the purpose of the slide?’, but my mind was slowly changed after being exposed to the trend more and more, but mostly because so many brands were bringing out their take on it and I fell in love with one pair in particular. How did that happen? Well I was out shopping in Bristol with my mum a couple of weeks ago and we saw a lady wearing a pair of black faux fur slides in a shop. Black Skinny Jeans With Nike Roshe & A Gucci Belt

A Gucci Double GG Belt Styled With Nike Roshe & Skinny Jeans A casual, yet styled outfit is something that I am often finding myself gravitating towards lately. Of course I love dressing up with heels and fancy pieces for a tailored and structured look, but more often than not now I am leaning towards flat shoes and comfortable items that just make my day easier. I usually call it my ‘Blogger off duty’ look as I don’t usually take photos of it, but for this outfit, since I had some fancy accessories and I really liked the colour palette and proportions of the entire ensemble, I had to share. This entire outfit was centered around my new Gucci Double GG Tan Belt as I wanted something to show it off. This was actually the first look that I wore it with, but due to my schedule, I had to share another one first (the Topshop outfit). Since it’s such a standout piece, I wanted to make sure that everything in this look was a different colour to the brown of the belt, so I chose my Hudson Barbara Skinny Jeans in Bazooka, a Zara Cream Knit, and my beloved Nike Roshe Trainers. For the accessories, I went with my Celine Nano Luggage in Dune and I borrowed Adam’s Casio Retro Watch, as the gold played off the GG buckle nicely. Goosecraft Black Leather Jacket With Thigh High Boots First of all I wanted to say a huge thank you for the support you have all shown me via my fashion blog and my social media these past few days. It’s been a tough journey losing my nan, but I’m trying to keep positive and knowing you all care is really thoughtful and nice, I appreciate it. Thank you. Now this outfit is something different for me, not entirely different, but a bit different. I love thigh high boots and leather jackets, but rarely do I ever wear them together. I got given this Goosecraft Faux Fur Collar Leather Jacket as a Christmas present from a friend and it’s incredible. Isn’t it beautiful? I tried the ALLSAINTS Higgins Jacket before, but it just didn’t suit me as it was too thick, and this one ended up being perfect actually, so I definitely recommend the brand. I paired this leather jacket with an Oasis Black Jumper and my Hudson Barbara Skinny Jeans in Bazooka. I’ve been obsessed with Hudson Jeans lately and can never get enough of them, but this pair in particular are my go to jeans right now! Then, to finish the all black outfit off, I wore my new Aldo Asteille Faux Leather Thigh High Boots. These were also a gift from a friend and they are so pretty, you wouldn’t even know they weren’t real leather! My Top 25 Favourite Outfits Of 2016

I thought it might be nice to round out my 2016 year with my favourite outfits from the 12 months. I’ve chosen my top 25 outfits of my own as it was really hard to narrow it down. I’m pretty sure I posted over 40 outfits in total (that’s a guess) and narrowing it down to 10 was impossible, 20 was more doable but it meant missing some out, so 25 was the final number. I will say that these outfits are not in order of favourite, but they are actually in descending order from newest to oldest (December back to January) so as you scroll down you will start to remember some from a year ago. I’m also going to be writing under each outfit to explain why it’s one of my favourites and why it holds a special place in my heart. The Suede Biker Jacket With Black Leather Pants

ALLSAINTS Hitchen Suede Biker Jacket With Black Leather Pants I know a lot of you have been requesting that I wear my Rag & Bone Skinny Leather Pants with a leather jacket, preferably in black… but while I’m still toying with that idea, I decided to wear a combination that I love. My black leather pants have been sitting there waiting for me to wear them again and I was waiting for the perfect weather to style them. It’s either been too wet or too hot. However, on Saturday, it was dry and a lot cooler so it was ideal. I got this ALLSAINT Hitchen Suede Biker Jacket at the beginning of May actually and hadn’t had the chance to wear it yet, so I thought it would pair perfectly with the leather pants. I think suede and leather is a great combination in two contrasting colours like this. I kept the top neutral with a White ASOS Cami, but added in brown elements with my belt and my Saint Laurent Envelope Clutch. To elongate the legs and match the leather pants, I chose my Christian Louboutin Pigalle Pumps in Black, which I think complement them perfectly. My Valentino Rockstud City Sandals in Tobacco I am literally so EXCITED to share my new shoes with you! You have already seen them on Instagram and Snapchat as I always give you guys a sneak preview of everything before it goes live here, but here are the proper photos and review for you. These are my new Valentino Rockstud City Sandals in Tobacco that I got a couple of weeks ago from My Theresa. I had been saving up for a new pair of Summer shoes and these were just perfect in every way! I don’t have any designer sandals, so these definitely fill that void and I couldn’t be happier about it. When I first saw them on My Theresa, I did look around on Google for more photos and saw these ones here for better reference which sold it for me. I knew I wanted them. I already have my Valentino Rockstud Heels in Patent Red and Black which I got last year, but these are entirely different so I don’t feel like I have doubled up at all. So, lets get to my review shall we? Fit – I wasn’t sure which size to go for with these Valentino Rockstud City Sandals as I’m a 40 in the heels in patent leather, but I know with sandals you always need to size down if there’s an open back and an open toe.
