The Knitted Maxi Skirt Outfit

A Knitted Maxi Skirt With Snake Boots I didn’t mean to take a full week off again, but life has been crazy the last week! I was in Bristol from Thursday to Sunday for a lot of Autumn shoots with Adam, then on Monday I was invited to the Last Christmas UK premiere in London, and a VIP Christmas lights switch on with Emma Thompson and Emilia Clarke on Tuesday. I got back super late on Tuesday night, rested a lot on Wednesday and caught up with a few things, and now today I’m back doing work. I plan on doing an update post on all of it with photos very soon, but for those of you who are interested, you can check out my highlight on Instagram (click here) to see all the videos! This outfit is a look I wore to Bristol and we shot these photos in Queen Square, which is a really beautiful park area with lots of pretty buildings all around. It was pretty chilly, but not cold enough that I couldn’t wear a skirt and I had been wanting to wear my new The Mia Midi Skirt by L’Academie, which was gifted by Revolve Clothing, as it’s such a beautiful stretch knit, with a thicker material, so it’s perfect for the cooler weather, despite the split up the side. I wanted to make this outfit perfect for Autumn, which is why I styled the skirt with my Zara Knit in Cream, then finished it off with my Topshop Snake Print Boots and my brand new Celine Nano Luggage in Glazed Nut that I got…

A Country Girl Halloween

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I hadn’t given any of you a preview of my Halloween costume this year (see my previous costumes here), and I was really excited because I absolutely adore country and Western, so doing a cowgirl seemed extremely fitting! I was even more excited that Adam got involved this year and joined me as a cowboy, which you can see below! The best part about this costume was that I put it together out of pieces I already had in my closet! I was wearing my Vintage Levi’s 501 Cut Off Denim Shorts, paired with my Gucci GG Belt (fashionable cowgirl, ha ha) and worn with my Topshop Snake Print Boots. For the shirt, I got this Superdry Bailey Shirt in Yellow, and finished it off with my Brixton Hat and some freckles! Adam’s required a little more props as he got a holster and a toy gun, as well as a bandana! We shot these photos in the little village nearby as there’s a perfect gate and scenery for this type of outfit. A few passers by came over to see what was going on and asked what it was for, even said we needed a horse, ha ha. I really enjoyed this shoot though, and I get excited every year for Halloween costume time! I would happily wear this outfit on a regular day though if the shorts were a little longer! That’s how much I love the Western vibe! What do you think? What’s your costume? Lorna xx. *This post contains affiliate links to help keep this blog running.

The Scarlet Teddy Coat With Boots

The Reiss Scarlet Teddy Coat With Boots I get excited to write a blog post when I have a story to tell you about the item I’m wearing. That’s the case with this coat here! This is the Reiss Scarlet Teddy Coat in Grey and I originally fell in love with it in the store, on a whim after I had gone in to look for a pink coat I’d seen online. I saw this one hanging on the rail and thought it looked really pretty. They had a UK 4, which is two sizes smaller than my regular size UK 8, but as it was oversized, I tried it anyway, and absolutely loved how it looked! I wore it over a dress back in August in the changing room and was obsessed! It was a bit expensive so I left the store, but had thought about it all the time. I went back in a couple of weeks later and tried a UK 6 as the 4 was gone, but the 6 was just too big as I didn’t want it massive. As luck would have it, a couple of weekends ago they had a 10% off weekend and I had already got a £40 voucher from last year, so I ordered this Reiss Scarlet coat online and was really happy with the discount. I love it when something works out like that and I get a really good deal! So this is the outfit that I wore my new coat with, I’d planned to layer it over my Topman Sweater, paired with my new L’AGENCE Margot Jeans in…

Lily Arkwright – A Beautiful Moissanite Ring

I am really excited to be sharing this blog post with you all. I’ve collaborated with British luxury online jewellery retailer, Lily Arkwright, who specialise in engagement rings and lab grown diamonds, to showcase one of their stunning diamond engagement rings. As you know, I only collaborate with brands that I feel represent myself and my blog perfectly, which is why I don’t have many ads as I like everything to be authentic, and this I believe is a perfect match. Even though I am already engaged, I’m happy to show you how beautiful their rings are as I absolutely adore jewellery. I personally chose this Lily Arkwright Macy Oval Charles & Colvard Moissanite Petite Pavé 18k White Gold Shoulder Set Ring, which is set with a 0.90ct lab grown moissanite centre stone, and it’s incredible! The 18k white gold band itself is set with diamonds, so it truly is a magnificent ring to look at, especially in the sunshine, it just glistens and shines in that perfect, magical way. I couldn’t stop staring at it and looking at how feminine and elegant my hand looked with it on. When I opened the ribbon and took the lid off of the box, it just took my breath away. It’s one of those rings that looks stunning with any nail colour, any skin tone, and pretty much any outfit, as I’ve showed you in these photos a more classy ensemble, and a more evening appropriate, bold look. It works perfectly with both of them. This beauty is a solitaire ring that features a Charles & Colvard, Forever One oval cut moissanite…

In Chloe On A Lock

We shot these photos a few weeks ago when we were still having a heat wave, it was around 28C this day, and it was actually really nice to do some proper summertime photos, utilising the scenery a bit more as well. If you’re wondering what I’m sat on here, it’s a Lock on the River Avon. I’ve always been fascinated by those and how they work, I think it’s such a smart, simple and cool idea, ha ha. Anyway, for my outfit, I was wearing my The East Order Black Floral Dress again (you saw it here), but this time I dressed it up a bit more with a Western edge, choosing my Chloe Susanna Boots in Beige Suede and my Chloe Small Drew Bag in Motty Grey to finish it off. Despite not having worn these boots in my outfits on my blog very much, I absolutely adore them, and the velvet version, so you will be seeing them a lot more I think, providing the weather is ok and not raining. Can you even imagine the damage in the rain? Especially to my beautiful velvet pair! Anyway, I would love to know what you think of this look on me, your comments are always welcome! How To Dress Up Snake Print Boots

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you’re all well! Can’t believe the weekend is here already so soon. I’m off on holiday in about 2 weeks and I can’t wait! It’s gonna be a busy time for me over the next couple of weeks actually, but I will keep you all updated on Instagram like I usually do in my stories! Anyway, getting to these photos, we shot them in the Royal Crescent here in Bath, and it had just started to rain, as usual, so you might be spotting a couple of spots of rain in the air, ha ha. I was wearing something a little smarter and classier for this outfit, but still suitable for daytime wear. I paired my brown L’AGENCE Margot Skinny Jeans (yep, they aren’t black!) with a Mango Satin Shirt in Cream, with my Louis Vuitton Reversible Monogram Belt around the middle. I do class the bralette underneath as part of the outfit as well and that’s also from Mango (it’s this one) and I love it. For my shoes, I went with my DUO Snake Print Boots that I got a couple of years ago, and finished it off with my Mulberry Small Darley Bag in Oak. I really love shirts, jeans and boots outfits, or paired with blazers too when it’s a little cooler, and I’m sure that most of you long time readers will know that that has been a signature look of mine for many, many years, so I’m hoping to incorporate it a bit more in my Autumnal style outfits coming up over the next couple of months! Anyway, I…

Roses And Sunsets

A H&M Rose Print Shirt At Sunset I still have some photos from Lyme Regis that I haven’t yet shared with you! After this, there’s just one more set, and I was going to save my favourite until last (which is this look) but I decided to post it now instead, because I love it so much. As you know from what I spoke about in my actual Lyme Regis blog post, it was raining constantly, so we got lucky here as it had stopped the evening before we were due to come home. We ventured down towards the beach to shoot some photos, at around 8pm, and then as we walked around the side, we were greeted with the most stunning pastel hues! It doesn’t show up as well in some of these photos, but there were pinks, oranges, yellows and even greens as it went down to meet the blue shades of the water. I just knew that this was where I wanted to take my photos to share with you all. I was a bit nervous going so close to the waters edge though, as I do suffer sea sickness and vertigo, and with the waves coming towards me, it was making me a little dizzy, so I just tried not to look down and stuck with it, and I’m glad I did as they turned out beautiful. For my outfit, I was wearing a pretty H&M Rose Print Blouse that I bought a few months ago. It’s actually gorgeous and is full length, with more of a bowling shirt style, but I tied it up as…

McQueen Kind Of Scene

How I Styled My Alexander McQueen Sneakers A comfortable and casual look here, one that I’ve been gravitating towards on the cooler days. You might recognise the above photo from my Alexander McQueen oversized sneakers review that I did a couple of weeks ago, and this was actually from the first time wearing them out. I’m still very much obsessed with them and can’t be without them now! I paired them with my trusty L’AGENCE Margot Skinny Jeans in Graphite again, since I wear these with everything, and wore a white H&M Tank Top, my ASOS Western Belt, and my Saint Laurent Nano Sac de Jour in Grey and their New Wave Sunglasses. I know you can’t exactly class this outfit as extremely stylish or fashionable, and in truth, most of what I wear doesn’t fall into that category, but I do like being able to put pieces together to create outfits, even if they are casual and simple like this. I’ve got so many other outfits planned with these Alexander McQueen sneakers too, I can’t wait to show you all! Anyway, I’m keeping this post short! Let me know what you think of my outfit and I hope you have a lovely weekend ahead! Lorna xx. *This post contains affiliate links to help keep this blog running.
