The Brown Satin Flared Trousers Outfit

Brown Satin Flared Trousers With A Cropped Top Happy Monday everyone! I spent the weekend shooting new content for you all and this is one of the looks that I came up with recently. The trends are fading away from skinny jeans and really tight clothing, and instead everyone is favouring looser fits and wide leg silhouettes. One trend that I have noticed increasing in popularity is wide leg satin trousers. I wasn’t sure on this at first, but the more that I see it, the more I fell in love. It’s classy, it’s elegant, and it’s statement making. I’ve been seeing wide leg satin trousers around on fashion bloggers, celebrities and in editorials – they are taking over the fashion world by storm at the moment. They’re being worn with satin shirts, jackets, cropped tops, and more. Street style trends even incorporate them with sneakers/trainers and that’s a great way to tone them down and wear them as a daytime piece! For my version of the wide leg satin trousers trend, I opted for these gorgeous Pretty Lavish Satin Trousers in a Cocoa Brown that’s really rich and luxurious. These trousers do run a little big, so I took a size small in them and they’re perfect! They have an elasticated waist and are so comfortable. They also come in other colours like olive green, which is so gorgeous! I wanted the satin trousers to be the focal point of the outfit here, so I kept everything else pretty simple, opting for this ASOS Brown Hourglass Top, which balances out the wide legs. I chose my Topshop Snake Print…

A Pink Maxi Skirt With A White Bardot Top

A Pink Maxi Skirt With A White Bardot Top How pretty is this location? I’m still in Ohio in the United States and this was the area surrounding Kingwood Center Gardens, which is basically like a large Botanical Gardens that we would find in the UK. It was such a sunny and hot day that I wanted to try and capture the magic of an Ohio summer, and I think I did that with these photos! I love how they turned out, using the sunlight as background enhancement. I was wearing a gorgeous Pink Maxi Skirt that I bought from Shein (size UK 8) before I came here, with a White Bardot Top (size UK 10), also from the company. I love the combination of these two pieces together as it gives off more of a boho chic vibe. It’s so effortless, casual, but put together and perfect for the heat. I finished this look off with my Abercrombie & Fitch Sandals, my Mulberry Small Darley in Oak, my Ray-Ban Aviators, and lots of gorgeous Gold Jewellery pieces from Daisy London, which you know is my favourite by now! I’m so glad I brought my Mulberry Small Darley with me too! It’s been the most perfect little bag to suit all of my needs here! I love it! Being out here in the USA with limited clothing options though, I am so glad that I brought these brown sandals with me as well, and brown bags to match. As long as your bag and your shoes are matching, it’s really easy to look put together and finished in an outfit,…

4th of July & The USA So Far

4th of July & The USA So Far Hello from the United States of America! I know it’s been a little while since I updated you all with a blog post, but I’ve been having so much fun and crossing things off of my list that I didn’t find the time to write one up until now! I have been keeping you all updated on Instagram though with my stories and reels, so if you’re not yet following me there, please do! There’s so much exclusive content! (Click here to follow me, or search LornaRaindrops on your app.) Now I will say, despite having an amazing time here, the journey getting here wasn’t so great. The delay at Heathrow was over an hour, they didn’t have the plane at the gate and we had to take a bus to the farthest terminal away, which delayed us so much. We arrived into JFK pretty late, and I was waiting over an hour in the immigration border control line. I was nervous my luggage wouldn’t make it safely as Heathrow was having so much trouble with luggage going missing, but it did, thankfully! Then at JFK all the food places were shut, my plane was delayed for over an hour as there was no gate and plane available, and by this point I had been up for almost 24 hours, running on 3 hours sleep, and I felt sick. I finally got on the last plane, and 40 minutes in, I felt so sick that I actually ended up vomiting on the plane into a bag. It was really bad. I just…

A Dusky Pink Puffer Coat In The Snow

Hey everyone! For my followers that love the snow, here’s some more photos for you! That winter storm that I mentioned in my previous post dumped around a foot and a half of snow on us! The cars were covered and frozen solid, hardly anyone could go out… It was nuts! I’m actually beginning to forget what grass looks like! I’ve seen constant snow on the ground for over 4 weeks now and I’ve never seen that much snow in my entire life! You know what we’re used to in the UK, and it’s not this! I’m going to try and get some more snow photos for you all, but it’s super cold, so we will see! For my outfit, I was wearing my new Hollister Dusky Pink Puffer Coat that I bought before I came here, and I layered it over my American Eagle Cream Knit. I finished it off with my L’AGENCE Margot Skinny Jeans in Graphite, and my Urban Outfitters Mittens that I have been living in while I’m here, and of course my Doc Martens with the faux fur lining – these have been a life saver here! Anyway, I just wanted to check in with you all and see how you are! I will be back home in the UK at the end of this month, coming home to much warmer temperatures. I have some fun things to do while I’m here though first, and one of them I cannot wait to share with you! It’s going to be amazing and I am super excited about it! It’s another dream come true of mine! Let…

A Leather Balfern Jacket Over Knitwear

A Snowy Day In A Leather Jacket Do you remember how I was hoping for a lot of snow and I couldn’t wait for it? Well, it happened, and it hasn’t gone away! Two weeks ago, it snowed really hard for a couple of days and it’s been here ever since, with more snow on and off. Now we have a brand new winter storm warning going to hit us tonight, with up to 14 inches of more snow and ice. My goodness. As a British person (it’s 12C back home) I am not used to this kind of weather, at all! Ha ha. I shot these photos a couple of weeks ago when the first heavy snowfall hit us, and I was super excited. But after being in it for a little while, my hands were burning, snow got in my boots and froze my feet, it wasn’t very pleasant, and now two weeks on, I don’t like snow anymore! I now understand why everyone here complains about it and wants nothing more to do with it! I fully sympathize lol. That being said, it does make a beautiful backdrop for some amazing snowy photos! I was wearing my larger size Allsaints Balfern Leather Jacket in Black (this one is a UK 10) and I layered it over my new American Eagle Cable Knit Sweater in Off White. I also chose my American Eagle Low Rise Skinny Grey Jeans, and finished it off with my Saint Laurent Nano Sac de Jour in Grey. This sweater is absolutely amazing! I also have it in a dark brown, and it’s so…

A Zara Camel Blazer With Black Boots

A Camel Blazer With Black Jeans And Boots Happy Sunday everyone! I can’t believe we are just two weeks away from Christmas! That came around so fast, didn’t it? These pictures were shot back in late October, hence why I was able to wear an outfit like this and didn’t freeze. I was actually quite warm! As much as I adore casual looks and comfort, I always gravitate back towards something sleek and smart before long. For this outfit, I wore my American Eagle High Rise Jeggings in Black and paired them with my Abercrombie & Fitch top, my Zara Camel Blazer, my Loeffler Randall Isla Booties, and my Saint Laurent 5 a 7 Bag in Black. I wanted to also showcase a lot of Bath’s heritage in these photos, to complement the outfit, and I think I did just that. The camel and neutral tones really match the Bath stone, and the black just pops and stands out. I got these jeans the last time that I was in America and I have to say, they have quickly become a go to! They are so stretchy and comfortable, while being extremely flattering, and I love that about them. I cannot recommend them enough! They can be dressed up or down, and I own them in multiple colours! The blazer is one that I have owned for over a year and it’s so classic! I can also not get enough of my new bag, and I know you saw it in my Saint Laurent 5 a 7 bag review that I did last month, but if you missed it, check…

Saint Laurent 5 A 7 Bag Review

Saint Laurent 5 A 7 Bag Review I am super excited to be sharing this bag with you! The last designer bag that I purchased was my Louis Vuitton Mini Palm Springs Backpack, back in the Summer of 2020, so it’s been over a year and a half since I got a new bag. I was originally saving up for a Saint Laurent Kate, with the gold tassel, and I do still love that bag a lot, but after having spent 7 weeks away from home with only an affordable shoulder bag (by House of Want) and my Louis Vuitton, I found myself gravitating towards the shoulder bag as it was just so easy to carry and use! I kept seeing the Saint Laurent 5 A 7 Bag around on people, and I began to fall head over heels in love with it! So, I started putting my savings towards this bag instead. Then something amazing happened while I was in the United States, Matches Fashion had sent me a £300 off coupon (they do this a few times a year) to be spent on an order over £1000. The Saint Laurent 5 A 7 was actually sold out on their website though, so I got in touch with their customer service to see if it would be restocked, and low and behold, a return had been made and was going to be put back in stock in two days time! I got really excited by this as there was just one of these bags available, and I had to make sure I got it! I set my alarm for…

Why You Need These 6 Classic Mulberry Bags

Why I Love Mulberry & 6 Classic Bags To Buy I’ve had a bit of a roller coaster ride with Mulberry over the years. It was my first designer bag brand that I truly loved and that was back in 2011, I even met the founder, Roger Saul, at Kilver Court in Shepton Mallet where the brand was founded (there’s still an outlet shop there where I bought my very first Mulberry bag) as it’s not too far from my city of Bath. I used to love the fact that the bag designs were classic, yet cool, and were definitely affordable compared to other high end designers. I own 6 Mulberry bags which I pretty much got between 2011-2013 and after that, I sort of went off the brand a bit in favour of others, and I will tell you why. Instead of all Mulberry bags being made in England where their factory was, they started outsourcing to China and Turkey which I thought was a bit unfair. Some were still made in England, but the majority were not and they were still keeping the same price tag even though they weren’t being made here. This really did put me off as they had had an increase in prices too, which I thought wasn’t right given the facts. However, a couple of years ago the brand did quite a large price increase (compared to what they used to cost) and I was even more shocked, but I didn’t realise why at the time. Anyway, I wore my Mulberry Lily in Oak on holiday a few weeks ago (see here) and…
