As I have mentioned before plenty of times on my blog, Autumn is my favourite time of year. One of the reasons as to why Autumn is my favourite time of year is because of boots! Boots are a huge staple in my wardrobe and I absolutely love wearing them! Since I’m pretty much a skinny jeans and jacket kind of girl, ankle boots are my choice of footwear during the colder months as they are so easy to wear and they pretty much go with anything I put on, all the while keeping my feet warm. I thought it would be really fun to put this post together on my favourite boots that I own for Autumn! I do own more than 8 ankle boots, however since I was choosing my favourite pairs, I have only selected 8 different pairs for this post. These are 4 different high heeled boots and then 4 flat boots, each of them perfect in their own way! You will find that even though I love colour, most of my collection is really classic! I have a variety of black boots, brown boots and taupe boots, which means I can wear them with most of the outfits I choose to put on.
You may remember seeing these in my birthday presents post a couple of weeks ago, they are my new Chloe Burgundy Platform Ankle Booties! They aren’t brand new as such though as I did purchase them at a second hand sale, but they are in almost new condition. I bought them as a birthday present to myself from a Fashion Bloodhound sale in Bath at the St. Francis Hotel. They are a company that’s local to me and they source designer clothes and accessories that are pre-owned and then sell them at pop up shops and online. They had some amazing pieces there from Isabel Marant, Mulberry, Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton and many more designers, but I couldn’t afford any of the big pieces. I really only wanted these Chloe boots though after I found them. As soon as I saw them, I loved them. Naturally I was attracted to them as they are burgundy, but they aren’t too high because of the platform either, so they are easy to walk in. I do have the box and they originally came from Net-A-Porter some years ago. When it comes to finding boots for myself, I usually like to pick boots that have a thicker heel and a comfortable platform, and boots that are not too steep, so I can walk around in them without feeling much pain, so these definitely fall into that criteria. Have any of you bought second hand clothes or shoes before? I used to have a thing about it, but I usually just clean up everything that I have purchased (which isn’t new) and it’s good to…
Those of you who follow me on Instagram (@LornaRaindrops) will know that I recently made another purchase from LuisaViaRoma. These are my new Gienchi Multi Glitter Spike Stud Hi Tops! I saw these in the store when I was there and just like my new Giuseppe Zanotti loafers, I fell in love with these just as hard! I’m attracted to anything that’s glittery and colourful and I adore studs, so these were so many things I love, combined into one pair of shoes! They arrived on Friday last week, in the most beautiful packaging I might add, and I haven’t been this excited for shoes in ages! I was checking the tracking constantly to make sure they were going to arrive, ha ha. This is my very first pair of Gienchi shoes and before I saw these, I actually wasn’t all that familiar with the brand. These are perfect though, they are so pretty and sparkly in person, I’ve already planned outfits for them! These, combined with my loafers, my Equipment shirt and a couple of things from the Zara sale, means I wont be doing anymore shopping for a while, but I am very happy with everything I recently got. Do you love these too? Do any of you own Gienchi shoes? If you want them yourself, you can buy these shoes online at LuisaViaRoma by clicking here.
I used to wear Clarks shoes often when I was a lot younger, so the brand holds a certain nostalgia for me. This is why I’m excited to have collaborated with them on this post! I’ve chosen 4 of my favourite shoe looks of my own and found 4 very similar shoes from the Clarks website for a get the look piece! These 4 shoes are of different variates, including sandals, heels, booties and trainers! These are my Sam Edelman Yelena sandals above, my Topshop nude metallic toe cap heels second, third is my KG by Kurt Geiger Winona booties and fourth are my Topshop beige hidden heel hi tops! I’ve chosen 4 Clarks shoes which match these favourite styles of mine almost perfectly and I think they would make great alternatives! What do you think?
I finally have wellingtons! Two pairs to be exact! I have a pair of Joule’s, their women’s wellies which are black with purple ribbon at the back. They are so unique and pretty, they definitely suit my style so I am really excited that I was able to choose this pair, thank you to Joules for that! I have already planned some outfits for these so the ribbon is really going to pop! And the second pair I have are some new Hunter Original Tall Wellies in navy with some purple cable knit socks! They are really warm and I love the pop of purple over them. I chose navy gloss as I thought it would go with most of my jeans, since the majority of them are different shades of blue! So thank you to Hunter for letting me choose this pair, they are going to be very versatile. I can’t believe I waited so long to own a pair of wellies actually. I had them as a child, but I never bought any more once I out grew them. They are just what I need to face the constant rain and wet conditions we have here in England! I was mostly worried that they wouldn’t fit me in the calf area though as I have very small calves, but these two are fine, especially when worn with socks. I can’t wait to wear them and share my outfits with you! Which pair do you like the most?
As promised, here is a post dedicated to my hidden heel high top collection. I sort of became a little bit obsessed with these many months ago and have slowly been buying a few pairs here and there throughout the year. I now have 4 pairs and I am pretty happy with that as I have black, burgundy, camel and beige, so I think I am all set with colours as I have all of the colours I need. They are always my go to when it comes to just grabbing a pair of shoes. They are so comfortable, you don’t even feel the heel at all.
I have collaborated with DUO to pick my favourite Autumn/Fall styles to share with you! DUO is a brand that I have been in love with for many years now. I have made posts in the past which include me wearing my own women’s boots from DUO and I can’t wait to break them out again for Winter! I have chosen 6 pairs of boots and shoes which I think are perfect for Autumn in this post, I hope you like them! You can also see my outfits and how I have styled mine here. The thing that I love the most about the brand is the fact that they cater for anyone. They have different widths for shoes and boots which is so important to me because those of you who have been following me for some time will know that I have quite large feet (size UK 6/7) and very small calves (size 34). This combination makes it so difficult for me to find cute calf length or knee high boots that actually fit me. Usually, with the foot size I need, the calf area is massive and so baggy! That’s why I love DUO because even though I’m at the larger end of shoe sizing, I’m at the smaller end of the calf scale and they have boots to accommodate me. That’s why I’m so excited to be sharing this post with you! The black ankle boots called Novello (above) are going to be gorgeous with black skinny jeans and an oversize jumper or coat! I think they would work so well with that kind of outfit and…
