My New Jimmy Choo Wheel Petrol Glitter Flats

These are a very special pair of shoes that I am extremely excited to share with you! They are the Jimmy Choo Wheel Petrol Glitter Flats and I absolutely LOVE them! I saw them online months ago and thought the colour combination of the glitter was beautiful, but I couldn’t afford the £375 retail value, so I kept the page open for months, hoping they would pop into the sale. Low and behold, just after Christmas, they went into the sale for £195! I snapped them up after a little debate in my mind and I couldn’t be happier. The glitter on these, as you can see, is a marine, petrol type of blue, but it has coloured flecks in there too in purple, green and gold, as well as black, so it creates a gorgeous depth and overall hue. Sometimes a few pieces of glitter do fall off, but it’s not a problem. The fit of them is true to size, I’m usually a 39 as I take that in the Melba boots, so I’m a 39 in these. They do fit a little stiff at the back of the heel though so they definitely need to be broken in, but other than the back of the shoe being hard, they are very comfortable. They have a rubber sole with Jimmy Choo printed in funky patterns and they have a padded gold insole to keep your feet sitting comfortably. Long story short, the wait was definitely worth it for these beauties! I’m glad that I bit the bullet and bought them too, I’ve worn them with dark blue skinny…

Hey, I Put Some New Shoes On…

And suddenly everything’s right… I just had to sing that since I’ve always loved that song! I haven’t done a new shoes post in a long while, I think since I got my Jimmy Choo’s back in April/May, so I thought it was about time that I did. Last weekend when I was in town doing some window shopping and having lunch with Adam, I came across these gorgeous slippers in Topshop. These are the Sandylion slippers in burgundy and they are amazing! Usually cheaper flats really hurt my feet (which is a downfall for us fashion bloggers as there’s some gorgeous ones out there), but I tried these on anyway since I fell in love with them and was pleasantly surprised when they didn’t hurt my heels! They are made of a really soft suede like velvet fabric and are incredible comfortable! The gold lion head medallion on the front is also really eye catching. I’ve worn these three times already with black and indigo jeans and a pair of leather look leggings. They really do go with everything and I can guarantee these will be making more appearances on my blog soon! Buy them in the UK by clicking here and in the US by clicking here. They are only £24 which is an amazing price!

How To Walk In Your Christian Louboutin Shoes

How To Walk In Your Christian Louboutin Shoes As I have quite a few popular blog posts here on Raindrops of Sapphire about Christian Louboutin shoes, including getting your Christian Louboutin shoes to fit as well as my DIY Christian Louboutin strass shoes and finding the right Christian Louboutin shoes for you, I thought it would be a nice idea to write up a blog post on how to walk in them. I know so many ladies struggle to walk in Msr. Louboutin’s heels, I did at first, but I have managed to pick up a few tips and tricks along the way and I figured it was only fair that I share them with you! So, first things first, taking a look at the soles of his shoes and what makes them difficult. The soles of Christian Louboutin shoes are made of bright red leather, which is really smooth and silky, so they can be quite difficult to walk in on shiny or slippery surfaces due to no grip. A lot of ladies get the red vibram rubber soles attached to the bottom of their shoes to add some traction when walking while not messing up the red entirely. I haven’t ever done this with my own shoes though as I’ve not needed to since I don’t wear them out in the rain or for longer periods of time. You might want to consider it if you plan on wearing them to work or for a few hours at a time. It will help preserve the soles and stop them from wearing out completely. Over the duration of a…

My New Jimmy Choo Melba Tan Suede Booties

As promised, here are proper photos of my brand new Jimmy Choo Melba suede booties in Sandalwood. I purchased these in the Jimmy Choo boutique in Selfridges while in London as you know and I adore them! I never ever purchase things on a whim when they cost a lot of money, but the fact that I bought these after seeing them in the shop speaks volumes about how much I love them. I did manage to have a think about them for about 10 minutes, but they were absolutely beautiful to look at, the gold heel was the icing on the cake really, it tipped me over the edge! These actually combine everything I love in a boot. They are an ankle boot, which is what I love the most with my skinny jeans. The heel isn’t too high, it’s around 3.5 inches, which to me is a good height for walking around in. They filled that void of tan/brown high heels that I had, as for some reason, all my heeled ankle boots seemed to be black! They also have a thick and chunky heel which I love as it makes them sturdier to walk in, and did I mention one other thing? They are insanely gorgeous! I had actually never been too interested in Jimmy Choo before as you know I’m always a Christian Louboutin fan, however I haven’t really been into his newer designs lately and absolutely fell for these, so even though I am broke now, they were definitely worth it! I did manage to save up quite a lot of money for my London…

My Christian Louboutin Pigalle 100 Shoes In Black Kid

You may remember this post I made back in January asking your advice between the Christian Louboutin Pigalle and the Ron Ron, both in black. It was a tough choice and the votes were quite evenly split actually, but I decided to go with the Pigalle! They are just such a classic and I wanted a pointed toe black heel as I don’t have one! The Ron Rons were just too similar to a pair that I already own, so I didn’t want to double up. Plus, they were suede and I already have quite a lot of suede shoes. I was originally thinking about getting the Pigalle 85 in Black Kid, however those had completely sold out everywhere and trying to track down a pair of Pigalle 100 in Black Kid was just as difficult! They are a very popular classic shoe and are in high demand, so I have been waiting all this time to get a pair! These gorgeous shoes were sold out online, everywhere… and sold out in most boutiques as well, but I finally managed to track a pair down in the Christian Louboutin boutique in Selfridges in London! I had them mail ordered so they arrived a few days ago and I couldn’t be happier! My other Christian Louboutin Pigalle heels in 85 are size 39.5 and really tight, so I opted for a 40 in these so they weren’t as painful. They fit perfectly on the right foot and slightly loose on the left, but they don’t give me pain so they are more than perfect! Walking in the 100 height is actually…

Styling The New Deichmann x Caroline Blomst Shoes

I have been really excited about this little collaboration for quite some time, but it has been under wraps and kept a secret until today! Now, I can finally share with you this project I have been working on and showcase some fantastic shoes with you! Fellow fashion blogger, Caroline Blomst, has teamed up with the popular shoe brand, Deichmann, to create a 7 piece collaboration collection and it’s gorgeous! I was lucky enough to be able to try and style two of the shoes from the collection and this is what I came up with! For those of you who might not be familiar with Deichmann, they have stores across the globe in 23 different countries and two of their flagship stores are here in the UK, in London. They have worked with some of the biggest names in Hollywood, including Halle Berry and Cindy Crawford and are now collaborating with bloggers, which I find to be fantastic! Caroline Blomst was one of those lucky bloggers who was able to create and design a collection with one of the leading shoe retailers and has a great sense of style herself. I expected a collection that was nothing less than beautiful and she definitely didn’t come up short! The line features 7 different shoes, ranging from kitten heels and high heels, to boots, trainers and flats. It’s very diverse and there is something for everyone, no matter your style, height or preference! Want to know the best part about this collaboration though? It’s the price! The shoes retail from £17.99 – £27.99 and speaking from experience after wearing two of…

Christian Louboutin Pigalle or Ron Ron in Black?

Christian Louboutin Pigalle 85 Black I’m in need of your help! My love for Christian Louboutin shoes started a few years ago on my birthday in 2009 when I tried a pair on in Harvey Nichols in London. Since then, I ended up getting quite a few pairs after saving all of my money and spending my savings (which I do now regret) on Louboutin shoes in the sale and some even at retail! Since I was very much into colour and statement pieces back then, I never liked the look of classics, but as my taste has matured and I have grown up a lot, I find it really hard to believe that I never actually bought a classic pair of Christian Louboutin shoes! Now that I am into wearing black heels a lot with my outfits, I thought it would make sense for me to get a pair in the near future. I do own a Pigalle 85 in Coral already, but they do hurt my feet since they are quite tight. I was thinking about trying them in a size bigger to see if they were less painful. There is just something so classic about the Pigalle (above), it has an allure to it and it’s one of Louboutin’s most famous shoes! On the other hand, I have always been partial the shape of the Ron Ron shoe below. It has a curve to it that has always attracted me and I love the fact that it’s in black suede. These shoes are a little higher at 100mm instead of 85mm, but they have more of a…

My New Isabel Marant Bekket Sneakers In Khaki

Those of you who know me will know that I have had a little obsession with the Isabel Marant Bekket sneakers for quite some time. I already developed a little collection of hidden heel sneakers or trainers over the past year and a bit, but from brands like Topshop, River Island and ASH. My dream pair was always the Isabel Marant sneakers, but I could never afford their price tag and I always assumed they would be too heavy and bulky for my small legs. I didn’t live anywhere near a place I could try them on, so I always put my lust for them at the back of my mind (even though I would check eBay now and then). I was out in town with my boyfriend on the weekend and we took a wander into Square Boutique in Bath. I’ve been in their multiple times before as they stock brands like AG Jeans, J Brand, Rag & Bone, Marc Jacobs etc, so it’s always been a store I was fond of. I didn’t know that they had started stocking so many Isabel Marant pieces though! That’s when I saw these! The Isabel Marant Bekket Over Basket Sneakers in Khaki, in the sale! They were literally a dream price, one that I didn’t think I would ever find these shoes at, that’s for sure! I was hoping that they had a size 40 as these run a bit small, but unfortunately they were out of stock, so after trying the 39 and them being quite tight, I put them back on the shelf and left the store. It was…
