Fila Disruptor II Trainers Review

My Fila Disruptor II Trainers Review If you remember my statements from a while ago, I was never, ever a fan of the dad sneaker trend. I thought the giant, cumbersome sneakers were a really terrible design and were incredibly unflattering, and I vowed never to jump on board the trend. However, that actually changed when I saw the Fila Disruptor! I never thought about them before, and it’s a story where I ate my own words actually, because Adam had been really into the dad trainers and wanted the Balenciaga Triple S, so when we were in Urban Outfitters, I said to him, try on this pair of Fila’s (having never seen them before) and see how terrible they look, then you wont need to buy any. When he put them on, they actually looked really cool, and since I can’t lie, I had to eat my own words, ha ha. Since then, I’ve still grown fonder of them daily and I actually ended up getting them first instead of Adam. Funny how things work out isn’t it? Since so many people seem to be a huge fan of the Fila Disruptor, I thought I would do a review for you and share all of my advice from sizing and comfort, to design etc. Let me know if you have any questions at all! Leave them in the comments below. The Fila Disruptor Sizing I’m starting with sizing first as I found this to be most awkward. I’m a standard UK 6-7 in shoes, and mostly a UK 7 when it comes to trainers/sneakers. I generally wear a 7…

5 Designer Shoe Styles You Need For Autumn

5 Designer Shoe Styles Every Girl Needs For Autumn We all love and adore our shoes, but when a new season rolls around, it’s time to think about getting the right options. I personally love my designer shoes, especially Italian or French made ones as the quality is outstanding, so I thought I would put together a blog post showcasing the top 5 designer shoe styles that us ladies love for Autumn, with my personal touch on it. Each of these styles brings something unique to the table, and you can create any outfit you can imagine with any of these shoes or boots, so they really are a staple in every wardrobe if you’re looking to create a capsule that you can use every day, so I hope you like the list! I’d love to know your thoughts too! The Over The Knee Boot I couldn’t make this blog post and not include over the knee boots as the first option could I? You know I live in them during the Autumn and Winter months, and they are the perfect staple for making outfits look so chic! There’s lots of designer over the knee boot options, but for me I personally love Stuart Weitzman as they make some amazing, fashionable, but sexy boots! You really cannot go wrong with them at all! If you need some style inspiration at all, you can check out my outfit posts that contain over the knee boots, but they usually pair well with skinny jeans and knitwear, or with dresses/skirts and bare legs. They’re amazing, as I’m sure you know. The Pump/Stiletto The…

Stuart Weitzman Tieland Boots Review

Stuart Weitzman Tieland Over The Knee Boots Review I’m sure you know how much I love over the knee and thigh boots as I’ve been wearing them for years. I was always a huge fan of Stuart Weitzman, but as I have small calves I wasn’t sure if their standard width would fit me, plus their prices are quite expensive. I’ve always stuck to Duo Boots as they do custom calf widths (I take a 33-34cm), but their designs aren’t very fashion forward anymore, so when I saw a Stuart Weitzman outlet at Bicester Village earlier this month, I was super excited! I tried on a few different styles and to my surprise, they actually fitted me all over, quite slim! I am left with a tiny gap around the ankle so it does bunch a bit as I have slim ankles, but I am thinking a sock around that area might pad that out. Anyway, for those of you worried about sizing and if you will fit them, I thought I would do a review for you on the Stuart Weitzman Tieland that I picked up for a steal at the outlet, they were £219 instead of £730! How could I pass that up?! The Sizing I’m usually a 39-40 in most shoes, 39 in UK or US brands and a 40 in European designers, however the lady in Stuart Wetizman (Roberta) said they run large, so she brought me out them to try. She was telling the truth too as the 40 was huge! Even the 39 was slightly big as it was a bit looser around the…

Moschino Teddy Bear Slides Review

Moschino Teddy Bear Slides Review As you know, I really love slides and summer shoes, so much so that I included these and a couple of others in my favourite summer shoes post. I was yet to own a pair of designer slides though, so when I saw these Moschino Teddy Bear sandals a couple of months ago, I fell in love. I’ve been wearing them for a while (as you can see from the creases) so I thought I would do a review for you and give my opinions, both the good and bad. I hope you like it! The Sizing I’m always between a 39/40 (which is a UK 6-7) in shoes and when it comes to Italian or European footwear in general, I’m always a 40. As Moschino is an Italian designer, I knew to take the size 40 and I was correct. They fit snug and perfectly actually, so if you’re between sizes, I recommend you go with the larger one and they should fit just fine! The footbed is moulded to fit your toes, so you do want to make sure you get the right size otherwise it can be slightly uncomfortable. The Design & Style The design and style of these Moschino Bear Slides was what actually attracted me to the shoes in the first place. I’ve never owned anything from the brand before as I always found the designs to be quite overpowering and loud, which isn’t really me, but these slides are just adorable! The black makes them look classic and wearable, while the little teddy bear logo is really cute, and…

My 6 Favourite Summer Shoes Of The Moment

A few of you have shown some interest in my summer shoes that I’ve been sharing lately, either on Instagram or the blog, so I thought I would do a blog post dedicated to my 6 favourite summer shoes of the moment! My wardrobe is probably about 80% autumn/winter footwear due to living in England, so when it comes to the hot months, I usually stick to a few select styles that I know I love. Since I am only featuring 6 here, I couldn’t include everything (obviously) and I have only chosen shoes that are still available to buy as there’s no point talking about a specific pair that I love and it’s not available. However, if I was going to do that, it would be about my RAYE Ava Sandals and my Dolce Vita Karlo Slides which I often wear in my outfits. Now these are in no particular order, I like them all equally, so don’t take their arrangement as a ranking, so let’s get to it! Rebecca Minkoff Mika Mules First up is my Rebecca Minkoff Mika Mules in Peony Pink. You have seen these two times (here and here) on the blog already, and there’s soon to be a third outfit as well! I got them last month and since then I’ve fallen head over heels in love with them. They’re comfortable (I just need a plaster on my little toes to stop the rubbing on my EDS skin) and they are so sleek, minimal, chic, classy… The list is endless! The blush pink shade is also perfect for this season as it’s so subtle…

Golden Goose Deluxe Brand Superstar Women’s Sneakers Review

Golden Goose Deluxe Brand Superstar Women’s Sneakers Review I’m doing a review on the Golden Goose Deluxe Brand Superstar sneakers! I have the women’s silver and white classics and absolutely love them! I’ve spoken about the brand before and you’ve seen them on my Instagram numerous times, as well as in my Stutterheim rain coat outfit, so here is the review for you! Golden Goose Deluxe Brand was founded by Francesca and Alessandro Gallo’s shared love of fashion and art. They work with traditional Venetian tailors, combining traditional Italian craftsmanship with a cool, contemporary sensibility and their cult distressed sneakers is what they are most know for. If you haven’t heard of the brand before, you’re going to love it! The Sizing Those of you who read my blog regularly will know that I’m between a 39 and 40 in shoe sizes, or a UK 6 to 7. I generally find UK and US shoes run bigger, which is why I take a 39, and European shoes run smaller, so I’m generally a 40. Since Golden Goose are an Italian brand, I took my usual Italian size of 40 and they fit me perfectly! I would say they are a similar size to Balenciaga in sneakers, if that helps! So whatever your usual European shoe size is, go with that. Or if you’re between sizes, go with the size up like I did. The Comfort I’m usually really picky with sneakers and flat shoes because I have sensitive skin on my heels, meaning I often get blisters, so I was a bit wary of how comfortable these would be. I…

Arabel Manners – Shoes For Ladies Who Need Larger Sizes

Arabel Manners – Shoes For Ladies With Bigger Feet I was recently introduced to the brand Arabel Manners and was quite excited to be able to share something different with you! I don’t know if there’s any ladies out there reading this with larger feet, but if there are, definitely pay attention to this shoe brand! Arabel Manners is an up and coming footwear designer and caters for sizes 41-45 across the whole collection. In UK sizes that’s an 8-12, so for anyone with larger feet (Paris Hilton, check them out!) you no longer have to wear men’s shoes or suffer the pain of squeezing into the largest size you could find which happened to be too small. The Arabel Manners label cares so much about unique and special designs, functionality, comfort and style. The collection was designed to leave customers with the sense of individuality, prestige, and the sense of having desired footwear. Combining sophistication with hand craftsmanship, the colouring of each shoe is done to perfection, and only using quality materials. So how did the brand come about? Arabel Manners (the brand) was born when her mother, a large shoe buyer, was frustrated that luxury footwear in her size was not accessible in the same way, compared to if she was a slender U.K size 5. She was always made to feel second best when walking into a luxury footwear store as her size was never catered for. The brand is built with emotion and creativity at the heart of each shoe design, so you never need to feel self conscious. When I was younger, I would regularly…

Balenciaga Race Runners Purple Prune Sneakers Review

Balenciaga Race Runners Sneakers in Prune Purple Review You recently just saw my Balenciaga Race Runners in this outfit post, in which I said I would be doing a review on them for you soon, so here it is. I originally bought these at Farfetch as I had a decent discount code so could afford them finally! I’m sure a lot of you are familiar with the Race Runners as they are one of the brand’s most famous shoes, combining Demna Gvasalia’s signature touch with a dose of urban glamour. They feature panels crafted from metallic leather, while the mesh and elastic are united by a chic purple colour palette. The streamlined sole disguises a wedge heel – perfect for giving your legs that extra boost they need as well! So, my review on these sneakers is below and I’m sure you can tell that I absolutely love them! The Sizing I found these Balenciaga Race Runners to run quite small in comparison to how US or UK shoes fit. But very true to size for a European brand. As an example, in the UK and US, I’m always a 39 most of the time, but in European shoes, I’m regularly a 40. I took a 40 in these and they actually fit quite snug and just right. There’s no way I could have fitted into a 39 at all, so go with your normal Italian size or size up one if you’re used to the normal UK and US sizes. If that helps? I was quite surprised with how small they run though as I’m never usually a tight…
