The Leaves Are Changing But The Sun Is Shining

We are having some kind of crazy heatwave at the moment! It’s been boiling hot for the past few days, I think it’s been hitting around 27 Celsius which is so hot for us Brits! I know it’s probably not very hot to some of you though. I’ve been wearing shorts and tank tops and I love it! It’s really weird to have this kind of weather during Autumn, so I captured some pictures which I think are rare to find here in England. The leaves are turning their golden tones while the sun is still shining brightly. Gosh it makes me realise how much I love Summer and really hot weather! Most people I know complain about the heat as they are not used to it, but I love it! I know it’s not going to be hot for long though, it’s back to cold weather in a couple of days. Longing For A Hot Country

I know I mentioned here that I am ready for Fall/Autumn, which I am, but now and again I just get a longing to be in a hot country. Living in England means that I rarely get to have a proper Summer, there are only occasions when I can wear shorts and dresses and not feel cold. I think this year we had a week or two of hot weather in April and just a few days scattered in August. I was hoping this year might be different, hoping we might actually have a boiling hot summer because of the freezing cold winter we had, but again, my hopes failed me! I’m sure you fellow English readers know exactly what I mean. I’ve never actually left the United Kingdom because I have a huge fear of planes and obviously holidays abroad are pretty expensive, so I have never experienced a foreign holiday where it’s warm and a completely different culture. I love the thought of the bright blue sky and sea during the day and then the amazing red and orange tones of the sunset in the evening. Not wearing jeans and only wearing summer clothes would definitely be an experience too! My boyfriend and I thought of somewhere which is close and known to be quite hot, the South of France. I think that might be a great place to start for a first holiday out of England. That way we can catch the boat and train instead of fly! Hopefully we might be able to next year! Where are some of your favourite hot countries to visit? (Follow…

A Day Out At Kilver Court With Mulberry

I went to Kilver Court on Saturday to the launch event of the new Designer Emporium. They had up to 80% off of loads of things and there was even a sale in the Mulberry Factory Shop! I have been saving for my first Mulberry bag for ages and planned to buy one in London in a couple of weeks time on my birthday, but I managed to pick up the most amazing deal on the perfect bag! The Factory Shop is amazing and I can’t wait to go there again! I even met Roger Saul, the founder of Mulberry, and I will be interviewing him soon! I’m wearing my Paige Premium Skyline collaboration Lorna jeans, a Topshop cream linen blazer, an All Saints Flamingo tee, Bloch Ballet flats courtesy of Spartoo, and my Marc Jacobs Karlie clutch. Since Mulberry is celebrating its 40th Birthday this year, they still have their golden Bayswater balloons and the massive inflated one. I love these little things and I adore the cute birds you get on the bag! So, who wants to see what’s inside my Mulberry shopping bag? Anyone? Please click this post to view all of the images. The Beautiful Countryside

I do consider myself really lucky to be surrounded by the beautiful countryside. Those of you who are fans of my personal style blog will know I am from England and I live in the countryside. A lot of people assume that since I am into fashion, I live in London or at least live in a big city, but I don’t. I do love traveling to London and big cities, they are great for shopping and other opportunities, but I am a country girl at heart and always will be. Sometimes the city life gets too much and I love the peace and quiet. I thought I would share with you a few pictures of the scenery I get to see on a daily basis. These are some of the sights that make me smile 🙂 What do you love about where you live? I will try to share with you the architecture here at some point too, it’s very old and some is from the Roman times. I love it! In London For Press Days!

Yesterday I went to London for the day to attend some press days to see the new collections from the brands. I actually traveled first class since it worked out cheaper due to booking in advance. I definitely preferred the leg room ha ha! I got to see Lulu Guinness, Paige Denim, Wrangler, Wrangler Bluebell, Aldo, United Nation, MiH Jeans and more! I also went into Selfridges to see the Tristan Lorna jeans! They only have a few left! Outside the Christian Louboutin boutique in the Shoe Galleries was a huge shoe! It was my favourite thing in there, ha ha! I also saw the most beautiful Vivienne Westwood wedding dress in the window! It was raining all day though so that’s why you can see my umbrella in the window reflection. I’m going to be posting about the press days individually, starting with Lulu Guinness later today! It was really nice to meet everyone I’ve been emailing with all this time! (Follow me on Twitter, Bloglovin and Facebook)

Fashion Event: Behind The Seams

There are a series of different fashion events happening in my city at the moment and today I attended a talk called Behind The Seams: From Design Sketch To Shop Floor. It was really useful and shared a lot of information on what it’s like getting your brand up and running from sketches and finally into the stores. The talk took place in what used to be one of my favourite designer boutiques until it moved, it’s now a really cool designer shop which provides a work space and comfortable environment for young emerging designers as well as stocking well known brands. I love some of the mannequins on display, the shop window model was decorated with magazine pages folded into little triangles as you can see. I have a fashion show to attend as well with a London Fashion Week organizer, he’s just come from doing 24 shows so that will be really exciting! I have my tickets booked! Enjoy the photos! I’m having a fun time learning about the process of things before I do finally jump in and decide to create my own brand. (Follow me on Twitter, Bloglovin and Facebook)

Jack Frost

We had incredible temperatures in December, they were apparently our lowest record breaking temperatures we have ever felt here in England. We had ice and frost literally covering everything as well as constant snow that wouldn’t melt because of how cold it was. I can admit I was not very brave and barely ventured out in these conditions at all but I did get some good photos of the trees, icicles, frosted spiderwebs and more inside this blog post! It was very beautiful. (Follow me on Twitter, Bloglovin and Facebook)

A Los Angeles Sunset

I found these gorgeous photos of a sunset which happened in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California on the 11th December 2010. It was above the two steeples of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, a famous building in which actress Elizabeth Hurley and Nicky Hilton were married and the funeral services of Frank Sinatra, Alfred Hitchcock and more took place. The sky is just amazing, I have never actually witnessed a red, orange and yellow sky like that before in real life unfortunately. It’s simply stunning! I had to share these photos with you. Don’t you think they are amazing? I adore sunsets and I love taking photos of the beautiful scenery when nature is at its best! I wish I could capture gorgeous photos like this myself!
