My Favourite Places In The City Of Bath

I thought it might be nice to put together a list of my favourite places in my city of Bath. A lot of fashion bloggers are from the main cities, London especially, but as you already know, I’m from the countryside. Bath is one of the only few world heritage cities left in the world and I am very proud to have been born here. Bath is located in the South West of England, near Bristol, and I’ve lived in Bath my entire life. I couldn’t see myself living anywhere else! I’m lucky enough to have views of beautiful fields and landscape from my windows and I definitely enjoy the peace and quiet that living in the countryside brings. Bath does have a town, it’s not as great as most other towns, but we do have quite a lot of really nice shops now and specialty boutiques, and although I have a lot of favourite restaurants that I eat at regularly, I have only chosen those exclusive to Bath, so you can’t find them anywhere else. Also, since I am a true country girl and one that loves to sight see, most of the places I have included are absolutely free and you can enjoy the nature or sights from them. Have any of you ever visited Bath?

London To Paris, Through Switzerland To Florence

I have been waiting to share my little European adventure with you for a while, but I had to wait until it was all booked and confirmed. Now that I can share it with you, I am off to Italy! Firenze in Florence to be exact, however because I can’t fly due to medical reasons, my boyfriend and I are taking the trains. First we will be heading to London, to catch the Eurostar to Paris, then in Paris we will get onto the overnight sleeping train to Florence. The sleeper train goes through all of the Swiss alps, which will be beautiful! It’s going to be a really long amount of travel there and back, however let me tell you the reason why I am going. Luisaviaroma invited me to their Firenze4Ever bloggers event! Those of you who follow The Blonde Salad or Song of Style etc will know that it’s a really big bloggers event that happens twice a year, over the course of a weekend, to style the new seasons clothes and meet all of the other bloggers. I have been invited a few times before, but unfortunately wasn’t able to attend, however this time I am definitely going and I can’t wait! It will be my first time out of the country (other than Wales) and I couldn’t be looking more forward to it, I am nervous, but definitely excited! We wont get to stop in Paris long, only a few hours before changing trains, but I have plans for Paris towards the end of the year which I will fill you in on a little…

Photos From Cardiff Castle In Wales

As promised here is the second post from my trip to Cardiff Castle in Wales on Saturday. I have piled all of the castle and grounds photos into this post, as well as some funny ones from the day. The castle itself is amazing, it’s actually quite demolished as it’s been damaged through many wars in the past, so a lot of it has fallen down, however the parts that are still standing are incredible. As it’s so old it has that distinct smell to it which isn’t the nicest, but that’s always to be expected lol. When you first arrive at Cardiff Castle you see the big wall around the outside and go through the big gates. It’s just like in the films when you see old scenery! You start out the tour with a 5 minute movie, which wasn’t to my liking at all, but then you head off through the tunnels which people used to hide in during the war. You get the air raid siren noise as well as planes and bomb explosions going on through the speakers to give you a real insight as to what it was like. There was also beds and a small kitchen there as people had to live down in the tunnels like that for some time. We then went up some stairs and out onto the roof of the castle which overlooks everything. This was on the outskirts so you could see into the centre. We then headed down by the back entrance gates and took a walk along the cobble path. There was a massive wooden catapult which…

It’s Snowing!

When I woke up yesterday morning and saw that everywhere was coated in thick snow, I was beyond excited! My city rarely see’s snow for some reason, so I am hoping it lasts for quite some time! Being that photography is another hobby of mine and something that I enjoy a lot, I took this opportunity to take some photos in the snow and I really like how they turned out. As you know I live in the countryside so I’m lucky enough to have the snow untouched with lots of pretty scenery! What do you think of the photos?

Yesterday’s London Trip Via Instagram

Above is British Vogue editor, Sarah Harris, myself and Paige Denim’s, Paige Adam’s Geller. As you know I was in London yesterday with my boyfriend covering a Paige Denim event at Selfridges for DenimBlog.com. Paige was launching her exclusive scarf print jeans for the store as part of their Destination Denim month. British Vogue editor, Sarah Harris, was also there with Paige helping customers choose their right fit. There were so many cute styles available and I loved catching up with Paige and Michael again and actually meeting Sarah in person after corresponding via email. She’s so pretty! After the event, we had some time spare before our train home so we walked along Oxford Street to have a look at the shops. It was really crowded and so busy, like usual, so it’s actually a really stressful thing to do. I managed to find a few cute things though! I was actually able to go in a Forever 21 and a Pull and Bear store since I don’t have those shops anywhere near me. They have amazing clothes in both! I also stopped in the Oxford Street Topshop, which was even bigger than I remembered last time, and also quite stressful. I looked in Mulberry, Tiffany’s, The Shoe Galleries (including Christian Louboutin) and the huge denim section, as well as passing by Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Miu Miu and Balenciaga all inside Selfridges. You can’t help but pass by these places while you are inside Selfridges waiting for the event to start. Anyway, I have included lots of photos from my own Instagram (@LornaRaindrops) as well as DenimBlog’s Instagram…

Pictures From London: Big Ben, Abbey & London Eye

Here are the second lot of London photos which include Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the London Eye, the River Thames, parts of Westminster and more. I think I have to say that Big Ben was my favourite, the clock face is amazing! The gold and the black really stands out, it’s so beautiful. It was really surreal being stood on the famous Westminster bridge that so many people stand on! I loved it! The day was so tiring though, I haven’t been that exhausted in a while but I think it was worth it! There are a lot more photos here so make sure you click this blog post. What area is your favourite from my photos? (Follow me on Twitter, Bloglovin and Facebook)

Pictures From London: Buckingham Palace

I had a wonderful time in London on Friday! The weather was actually fairly warm and it didn’t rain and I got to see all of the sights I wanted to! I’m breaking these posts into three as I have a lot of pictures and I want to share them with you. These are the pictures from the Buckingham Palace area and I also included a couple with a red phone box as I know those are an English trademark! I’m wearing 7 For All Mankind Dark Violet Gummy Leggings, my Miss Selfridge PU Leather Biker Jacket, a H&M white t-shirt, an ASOS blue satchel and my Topshop leopard scarf, Accord booties and rainbow ring. Meeting Donna at Donna Ida was amazing too! I had such a wonderful time there, but I am saving that for another post. So there are a lot of pictures in this blog post of the Buckingham Palace area, you just have to click to see them all. It was definitely quite surreal seeing the sights that I see on the TV so often! I will be including Big Ben, the River Thames, Westminster Cathedral and the London Eye in the next ‘Pictures From London’ post. Do you like the pictures? London’s Calling

I’m headed to London on Friday for a styling and modelling session with a boutique I love and I am so excited! I’m going to be picking some outfits and then having my picture taken for their website, but for the first time, I am actually going to see London! After the photo shoot I am going to be visiting Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and anything else I can find in the Westminster area! I may even pop over to Oxford Street and actually do some shopping this time! All of the times I have been to London, I have gone for press days or for blogging purposes, so I have never actually seen the sights before! I’m so excited! Since I am English and I know a lot of you like to see more photos of the places I go to, I will be uploading a lot of the London pictures. I always like seeing the tourist attractions on other peoples blogs too. For now, I have included a few pictures I found on Google of how pretty London can be! I can’t wait! I will also let you know which boutique it is once I come back! (Follow me on Twitter, Bloglovin and Facebook) Images courtesy of Google Images.
