5 Exotic Countries I Would Love To Visit

My Top 5 Exotic Countries To Visit You might remember my previous post on 5 European countries I would like to visit, but I thought it would be good to be a bit more extravagant in my choosing and also share with you my top 5 exotic places to go to, if I could. I absolutely love the idea of clear green and turquoise waters, white sandy beaches with little huts and a warm, relaxing holiday. I’m not sure I will ever get there given the fact that I don’t do flying, but I was thinking of perhaps some cruise holidays in the future. I know I get sea sick, but I’m thinking on a massive cruise boat, it might not be so bad as it shouldn’t be too rocky. I can see myself now, cruising around the islands, looking out for the dolphins below, just having a whale of a time! Pun intended! I’m sure it would be amazing. Do any of you have experience with a cruise? Below are my top 5 holiday destinations for somewhere exotic!

5 European Countries I Would Love To Visit

My top 5 European countries to visit After being inspired from seeing other peoples holidays lately and their favourite countries to visit, I thought it might be nice to share with you my top 5 European countries that I have on my list to visit over the next few years, from a bloggers perspective. As you know, I am extremely sea sick and I have a fear/health issue with flying, so it limits my options for travel quite a lot, however I know from travelling to France and Italy via train before a couple of years ago that most places are easy to get to that way! This is why I’ve listed most places in Europe that I can finally get to via train! Have any of you travelled Europe this way? I’d also love to know some of your favourite European destinations!

My Week in Burnham-on-Sea, Cardiff and Cheddar

My Week in Burnham-on-Sea, Cardiff and Cheddar As you know, last week I got to spend the entire week with Adam (which is a rarity) and we decided to make the most of it. That meant going to Burnham-on-Sea beach and town for a couple of hours on the Saturday, then heading to Cardiff in Wales on Sunday until Monday, resting on Tuesday, going to Cheddar Gorge on Wednesday and then heading to the Ted & Muffy event on Thursday, before he left to go home Friday morning. It was a pretty busy week for me and other than having a really bad day on Monday with too much walking and getting quite sick, I managed to do ok which I am pleased about. I really love being able to explore new places and do cool things! I’ve compiled this together as a photo diary type of post, so you can see and read everything below. Shopbop Friends & Family 25% Off Sale! I also wanted to quickly mention that from now until Friday, Shopbop are having their bi-annual Friends & Family Sale which gives you 25% off! All you need to type in is the code INTHEFAM25 at the checkout and you will get the discount off of your basket. There are a few brand exclusions, but the majority of everything is included in the sale, so definitely don’t miss out! Now is absolutely the time to take advantage of the new jeans, knitwear, boots and bags you have been eyeing! Things are selling out quite quickly though, so make sure you shop it now! Head to the Shopbop…

St. Ives Travel Photo Diary

My St Ives Photo Diary It’s here! My St. Ives photo diary! I know those of you who were following me on Instagram and Snapchat (@LornaRaindrops) have already seen what it was like in real time with the videos and photos I was posting, but I know a lot of you haven’t seen these photos and there are also quite a lot that I never shared on social media. I actually had my dream come true when I arrived there. Like I mentioned, I’ve never seen blue sea before in my life, only the brown and dirty seas, so when we arrived at St. Ives and were heading in on the train on the cliff top, looking down at the sea was a miracle. It literally was that aqua blue and green shade that you see in the movies or on holiday in some exotic country. The water was incredibly clear and I even went for a paddle a couple of times, but it was freezing water so that didn’t last long! Porthminster Beach was actually our second home in the end. We stayed at 27 The Terrace which was a gorgeous boutique B&B and it overlooked the beach, so we ended up spending so much time on it. Not that many people end up hanging on the beach in June so it was great having so much free space to ourselves to mess around in the sand and shoot photos and explore. Speaking of exploring though, we spent most of our time doing that. We went up the rocks, found limpets and muscles attached to cliffs, we found caves,…

St. Ives

I am super, super, super, super (x 100000) excited to tell you that I am going to St. Ives! For those of you who don’t know where it is, it’s right at the very bottom of England in Cornwall, right on the edge before you cross the ocean to France. It might seem hilarious to some of you, but I have never seen blue sea before. I’ve only ever been to the touristy coasts which are full of brown sea water and dirty sand, like Weston-Super-Mare, Weymouth or Minehead. So I truly can’t wait to see a pretty blue ocean as I know St. Ives is famous for it! Adam and I are going there as a little holiday (one that doesn’t involve work or stress), so that’s why I am really happy about it. The train journey is almost 5 hours, but I think the destination is worth it! We are staying in a little B&B on the seafront so every morning we will have a sea view and that excites me even more! It was our 7 year anniversary at the end of April, but due to weather and illness, we didn’t actually end up doing anything so I think this little holiday can be in celebration of that instead! Better late than never! While we are there, we have already planned a boat trip to seal island which I can’t wait for. I’ve always loved seals, I had an obsession with them when I was younger and even did one of my school projects on them. It will be fantastic to see them naturally on the cliffs…

Enjoying Spring

When I’m out and about I usually end up taking photos of things that look beautiful, this usually includes a lot of wildlife, parks, flowers, buildings, scenery etc. Living in the countryside means I get to see a lot of it and I do always appreciate my surroundings. Spring is one of the most beautiful times of the year as the flowers start to bloom and the little animals come out from hibernation, so I can’t resist capturing certain moments! I do always upload them to my Instagram, so make sure you follow me (@LornaRaindrops) and you can see them before they get published here on my blog! Anyway, I hope you enjoy these Spring photos as much as I do and are loving the season! Comment and let me know your thoughts!

Christmas Lights & Decorations

The one thing that I absolutely love at Christmas time is the decorations. I recently made a big post about the little things I love at Christmas time, but since the lights and decorations are one of the best on my list, I thought I would make a dedicated post with some of my photos that I have been taking over the past two months. Some of these are taken with the camera (Nikon D7000 for those wondering) and the others are taken with my iPhone. The decorations are mostly from around my hometown of Bath in the town and from inside my house as well. We get a Christmas market here every single year and it stays for two weeks or so, where they sell wooden toys and decorations, cheese, sausages, roasted nuts etc in lots of little wooden sheds covered in snow. It’s incredibly hectic as we get so many people coming just for the market from all over the place, mainly from Wales, but it’s always so beautiful to look at! So are the decorated Christmas trees! I hope you enjoy the photos! Do you love festive lights too?

Saying Goodbye To Lovely Autumn

As you know, Autumn is my favourite time of the year. Since I am addicted to bright colours and pretty things, I think Autumn is absolutely beautiful. I welcome the bright orange and yellow tones of the leaves with open arms and I love that crisp fresh air that comes with the season. I think Autumn just brightens everything up! It makes my outfit photos that little bit prettier, it makes me smile whenever I look at the trees in the park and I love the mounds of fallen leaves on the floor. When I was younger, I used to go to the park and catch the leaves as they would fall, so I could have special untouched leaves. It’s always held a special place in my heart, so I thought that I would make this post with the lovely photos I have taken recently of the beautiful Autumn trees to say goodbye to it until next year! Winter is here now and it’s always so dull and grey, but at least I have the special tree in the garden which is always behind every other tree, so I still currently have leaves in the golden hues upon it! I know they will drop soon, but we have the festive season approaching really quickly! It’s been fun Autumn!
