My Ohio, United States Photo Diary – Part 2

Mike, myself, and Sheila, at the Mix 106.1 radio station. And here is part two of my Ohio, United States photo diary! I know it had been a little while since I shared the first one, but I have been super busy and getting all of the pictures ready to post took a long time! I must have taken thousands while I was in the USA for 5 weeks, so narrowing it down was pretty tough! There will be a part three coming too, and that will be the final one, but honestly, I had the best time of my life and looking back at the photos seems so surreal. It almost feels like I’m looking at someone else in the pictures, like it didn’t actually happen, even though I know it did! Does anyone else ever get that after amazing experiences? Anyway, I’ve been back home for about five weeks and I’m really sad to be back. I got to do almost everything that I wanted to do over there, and I fell in love with America. It’s home to me. I made some amazing friends, especially at games night with Sheila and Mike (below). Mike’s wife knitted me two hats with my blog name on them, gave me a Coach wristlet, and Sheila gave me a little Ohio State Brutus mascot Christmas tree decoration. I got to experience some amazing food (Chipotle is my absolute favourite) and just feel so much freedom over there. We got into a routine of getting slushees at the gas station anytime we passed it, ha ha. I really cannot explain the amazing…

My Ohio, United States Photo Diary – Part 1

Christen and I in his car. I’ve officially been in the United States, specifically Ohio, for 19 days now! I can’t believe it’s almost 3 weeks! I go back home in 2 and a half weeks, and there’s still so much that I want to do and see. I’m splitting my photo diary into about 3 different blog posts because there’s so much to share, so here’s part one, which compiles some of the snaps I took from the first 2 weeks. I don’t want to write too much text as it’s quite picture heavy, so I will just put a few little captions underneath each pic. So far though, after arriving here from Croatia, I’m having a wonderful time and experiencing so much! I’ve already been to Walmart, Kroger, Meijer, Bob Evans, Fizoli’s, Chipotle, Circle K, Old Navy, American Eagle, Wendy’s, McDonald’s, Taco Bell, Kohl’s, Texas Roadhouse and so much more! The scenery is amazing here too! The sky is stunning in the evenings, everything is so big and open spaced, the cars are on the wrong side of the road… Ha ha. I love the USA and everyone is so friendly! As you know from my previous post though, I’m staying here with Christen, and meeting him when I arrived into Columbus, Ohio airport was so surreal. I met a lovely lady on the second flight from Newark to Columbus, and she took our photo as I arrived. When I was in Newark airport in New Jersey, I got to see the New York skyline out of the window, and that was pretty incredible! I can’t wait to…

My Cavtat Croatia Travel Diary

Hey everyone! I said I would update you with a Croatian travel diary and let you know where I stayed etc., and here it is! I am no longer in Croatia, I took a flight out of Dubrovnik on Tuesday, into Newark in New Jersey, USA! Then took a connecting flight to Ohio, to finally stay with Christen! Remember I was telling you guys on 4th of July that I wanted to finally get to the United States and spend my time with Christen? Well, I’m FINALLY HERE! It was almost a full 24 hour day of travelling. The flight from Croatia to Newark was almost 10 hours, and then I had a 4 hour layover, then an hour and a half flight into Columbus, Ohio, where Christen met me. After knowing each other online for an extremely long time, to finally be in person is amazing! So I will be updating you all with a post on how things are here, and a USA travel diary too, but for now, check out my photos below and what happened in Croatia! I absolutely love these photos here at sunset! As you know I travelled to Croatia alone for 16 days, but I did end up making friends. There were a couple of girls in the same apartment building as me, and they were alone too, and we hit it off! You can see some pics of them below, but I’ve definitely made friends for life and it was so much fun going out to dinner sometimes and sightseeing! The sunsets were beyond stunning though, so you can’t really go wrong…

Surprise! I Flew To Croatia!

Hello From Dubrovnik, Croatia! I told you guys the next blog post would be a big surprise! Those of you who follow me on Instagram, already know this, but to those of you who are just readers of my blog, did you expect that? Ha ha! You all know that I have had a fear of flying, ever since I was little, so I had never got on a plane at all, until Sunday, when I took my very first flight, alone. I’m in Dubrovnik, Croatia, and it’s absolutely incredible here! The temperatures are extremely hot though, so I’ve been wearing my SPF 50, which is helping me not burn, but I absolutely love it! I’m going to break this up into sections so that I can share my first flight experience with you too, so carry on reading to find out more and check out my photo diary! Like I said up there, I had always been afraid of flying, my entire life. I was scared of my ears really hurting, the travel sickness, potentially getting a bleeding nose from pressure etc., but as it turned out, I didn’t have to worry about any of that! I prepared well and bought some EarPlanes ear plugs, to eliminate the pressure, and my gosh do they work! I never felt an ounce of any pressure in my ears once! I also took travel sickness medication, so I never got motion sickness either! Now you know me, I don’t really do anything alone, but there I was, heading to Bristol airport and taking my very first flight by myself. I went with…

Christmas In The City Of Bath

Apparently it’s Christmas next week, and that seriously crept up on me really quickly. This year has been a crazy one for every single one of us, and even though I’ve had a tough time of it myself (two relationship break ups and some depression), I know that everyone has had their own struggles when it comes to Covid ruining everything during 2020. It’s been the cause of relationship break ups, families missing time with each other, travel bans, businesses having to close down, people losing their jobs, and unfortunately a lot of deaths. I don’t think this year will ever be forgotten and it will be one that is in the history books for centuries to come. With all of that in mind, I know that Christmas this year will be a struggle for a lot of people, not being able to spend it with loved ones, but I’m hoping now that the Vaccine is in place in some countries, things will start to pick up, but you never know. With all of this in mind, normal life has taken a backseat and I don’t really go out that much now as I hate wearing masks (I feel claustrophobic) and the restrictions and rules on everything just make things far less enjoyable. However, I did go out on Sunday with my brother and dad, to get some lunch and walk around the Bath town. It’s the first time I have seen the Christmas decorations this year, and they look magical! The lights in Southgate (where I’m standing with the umbrella) are absolutely gorgeous! I was happy that it was…

Attending The Last Christmas Premiere In London

On the 11th November 2019, one of my dreams came true. I was invited to a movie premiere in London and it was one of the best experiences of my life! The movie was ‘Last Christmas‘, which is the film of the year for Christmas right now, and it features Emma Thompson (I’ve always been a huge fan of her), Emilia Clarke, Henry Golding and many more! I got to walk the red carpet (it was actually blue for Christmas) and actually watch the movie. Kylie Minogue was on the carpet with us, and we met her, which was incredible! We got to listen to Emma Thompson and Paul Feig (the director) introduce the movie on stage before it started, and it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life! I shared it all in a highlight on my Instagram stories (click here for that) and I will never forget it! It was always a goal of mine to go to a movie premiere as I love the film industry so much! The next day, I was also invited to the Christmas lights switch on in Covent Garden, as a last minute thing! I was due to go home, but I hung around instead and came back really late at night. The cast were there on stage, along with Ronan Keating, and we got to do a singalong to the song ‘Last Christmas’ as well, which was so much fun! To anyone who has seen the movie already, what did you think? And if you haven’t, it’s a cute, fun, feel good movie that I recommend! For my…

A Weekend In Bristol

Just over a week ago, Adam and I headed to Bristol to do a weekend of photoshoots for Autumn, and we stayed in a hotel. We picked the Mercure Holland House Bristol in Redcliffe and it was actually really nice! We managed to get a lot of work done, multiple outfits, which I can’t wait to share with you, so it was incredibly productive! I thought I would do a round up of our stay in Bristol though in this blog post so that you can see what we got up to, a preview of a couple of outfits, and some general scenery photography. If you’re wondering about my outfit above, I might not be doing a blog post on it as I didn’t take enough photos as it was kind of spur of the moment, but I was wearing my new Commando Patent Burgundy Leggings (see here), with a Zara knitted jumper, my Brixton hat, my Topshop Snake Boots and an ASOS Snake Bag to match. It’s not something I would usually wear, but I loved how it looked when I put it together! What do you think of this outfit above? You can also see an outfit I wore on the first day when we got there, the knitted maxi skirt, as I shared it last week! We had a suite, which you can see in the photos, and it had a lounge area, a huge bed, a beautiful bathroom, and was actually really quiet with a beautiful view of the church and looking out over Bristol. We spent most of our time in the hotel in the…

A Shopping Break In Mayfair, London

So as you know, Adam and I swapped out our St. Ives holiday this year (twice due to bad weather) and went to London for a mini city break instead. We stayed in The Washington Mayfair hotel, purely for the location and the cheaper price compared to other hotels, and it was nice. Despite having a room next to the main road, making it noisy, it was a nice room and hotel in general. It was only a 7-10 minute walk from Mount Street and New Bond Street, which was exactly what we wanted as we love looking in all of the designer boutiques. We hit up Saint Laurent, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Celine, and more, enjoying all the new collections, and we also headed to Selfridges on the second day. So this is a little mini update and travel post, including all of my photos from London and new purchases! I of course couldn’t come home empty handed, could I? Ha ha. Beautiful views in Mayfair, this is on Mount Street where my favourite Celine boutique is! The Anthracite Jimmy Choo Cruz Boots that I fell in love with and am trying to save for! Two photos from inside Burberry on New Bond Street. It’s a much smaller boutique compared to the flagship on Regent Street, but that’s why I love it! I love the new decor inside. This is the scarf that Adam and I bought to share. It’s the oversized cashmere check in Mid Camel and it’s stunning! We were looking for a new scarf and after trying on lots of colours, we finally decided on this…
