Pastel Pinks For Easter

Happy Easter Everyone! Happy Easter! I know I sometimes used to do a costume for Easter (see here, here and here), but this time I decided to be mature about it and do something like an Easter style outfit instead. What did I have in mind for that? Pastel shades. I’m often reminded of pastel pink, blue and green, so I went with pink and I love it. I wasn’t overly sure on the outfit at first though as it’s a combination I put together while trying to recreate a look from Allsaints (see here). I have since purchased that dress though and you will be seeing it soon, but for now, I’ve gone the custom route! For my look, I was wearing a Topshop Satin¬†Skirt, which was fairly affordable and comes in multiple colours! I then layered over the top my Topshop Cropped Fluffy Jumper, to try and re-create the style. For my shoes, I went with my RAYE White Boots to really make it look sophisticated, and finished it off with my The Cambridge Satchel Company Small Emily Bag in Lilac, to bring the Easter vibes. I do think the combination of the white and pink together is definitely Spring appropriate! What I’m looking forward to though is actually styling the Allsaints Tierney version itself, to see how different I can make it, or see how different it actually looks compared to my own creation. Since this type of look is completely different to what I would normally wear, especially the satin skirt, I’m really interested to know your opinions on it. Do you think it suits me?…

It’s A Teddy And Fila Partnership

A Teddy Coat With Fila Disruptor Trainers Happy Thursday! It’s almost Easter, which feels like it’s been coming around for ages! I remember seeing chocolate eggs in the shops just after Christmas, ha ha. I’ve got quite a few plans this weekend, which I’m looking forward to actually, so stay tuned on my Instagram stories to see what I’m up to! I’m going to keep this blog post short as well since there’s not a huge amount to say about this comfy, warm outfit I wore when it was chilly. I was wearing my Topshop Teddy Coat which I layered over my Urban Outfitters Chenille Jumper in White. I of course went with my L’AGENCE Margot Jeans in Graphite again, a firm favourite, and opted for my Fila Disruptor II Trainers to tie it together. This has actually been a uniform I’ve been wearing for a while, I was always reaching for this coat and these trainers, so it became a staple for me. As it’s warming up though I’m switching things out a little and can’t wait to wear less layers! Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend! Don’t eat too much chocolate! As always, let me know what you think of the outfit. Lorna xx. *This post contains affiliate links to help keep this blog running.

A Brown Del Boy Coat In The Snow

A Brown Coat & Heeled Boots In The Snow And here’s my final snow outfit of the year! Well, I say that in reference to the snow photos we shot when we were covered in it, but I keep hearing rumours that it’s going to snow again, so who actually knows? Ha ha. Either way though, since our seasons moved forward, I’m sure there wont be any at the end of this year, which I say with confidence. As a round out to my snow sets though, I think this year was actually the most fun I had with my outfits and utilising the white blanket that covers everything. It really makes everything look so different when I’m used to green grass everywhere, so it creates an entirely different, more vintage, vibe to my backgrounds. For this look I was wearing my older trusty Topshop Brown Coat (which reminds me of Del Boy and I’ve worn it so many times! See here and here!) styled with a Zara White Fluffy Jumper and my L’AGENCE Margot Skinny Jeans in Graphite. I threw on my Louis Vuitton Belt with this and then chose my ALDO Thigh High Black Boots, topped off with my Topshop Bobble Hat. Honestly, I quickly changed the boots after this as it was really risky walking about on the ice areas due to the heel, but I liked how different they looked with this outfit, and it was something more unique for a snow look – not the most sensible of choices obviously, but different! Anyway, this is it now for previous season photos, everything coming now will…

Hunter Coral Wellies Outfit

Hunter Coral Wellies With A Bright Check Scarf I’m doing a little throwback here! Since I ended up shooting so many Autumn photos, I never got around to sharing this set and it got pushed aside in place of my Winter looks! The reason I didn’t share this one sooner though is because I wasn’t sure on it. I absolutely love the combination of bright colours here, but since I don’t really wear much in the way of brights now and my new way of editing photos doesn’t suit Autumn (typically) I couldn’t figure out how to put these to good use. Anyway, I definitely wanted to share as the more I looked at these photos, the more I enjoyed the whole outfit, especially the scarf and wellies paired together. I haven’t used any sort of theme on here, as you can see, I just muted the green of the grass and that’s it, so these photos are pretty much in their natural state here. I was wearing my Hunter Original Tall Wellies in Coral (which you remember from this outfit) and I tucked them into my PAIGE Margot Jeans in Shadow. I chose my Zara Knitted Jumper in Cream to keep a black and white neutral base, then opted for my Joules Checked Scarf as it really complemented the coral in the rain boots. It’s such a gorgeous scarf, isn’t it? The only thing is, when you wrap it around, the bright shades vanish a lot as they get hidden in the tuck, so does anyone know how to wear a square scarf like this and have the middle…

All Brown And Layered

Monochrome Brown Layers Usually I don’t struggle too much when looking for a title for my outfit posts, but this one I did! Eventually I just decided to be literal with it, but I would be very intrigued to hear anyone else’s title ideas that you think would suit this look! Maybe that could be something fun for the Wednesday hump day, you can choose my title and the best one will win! Anyway, Adam and I shot these photos a few weeks back and I had decided that I wanted to wear a neutral looking, monochrome style outfit, but with various shades of brown and warm tones. I actually really like how it turned out as well as I think the key to getting monochrome right is mixing in different textures from the fabrics, with different lengths and fits, as well as the various shades on a colour palette, so it makes it really interesting and not too uniform. When I look at this, even though it’s all quite similar, it’s extremely different at the same time and I like that. It might be one of my favourite comfy and casual looks I have worn this year so far! So, what was I wearing? I opted to create a base of my favourite L’AGENCE Margot Jeans in Graphite, paired with my Allsaints roll neck jumper. I then put my Louis Vuitton belt around the jeans to break it up, but keep with the theme. I threw on my thick knitted cardigan from Pretty Little Thing as it was just the right shade of lighter brown, and then went with…

A Leather Jacket & Jeans In The Snow

Boda Skins Leather Jacket In The Snow I’m feeling mixed emotions while editing these snow photos. While looking outside it’s very spring like with the sun shining, birds chirping, and blossom on the trees, but I really enjoy looking at the wintry scene created in these pictures that we took a while back. I was wearing my Boda Skins Kay Michaels Leather Jacket in Antique Brown, and I layered it over my fluffy white jumper from Zara, for extra warmth. For my jeans I went with my PAIGE Margot’s and then finished it off with a statement lip and a Topshop Bobble Hat. I know this isn’t necessarily appropriate for the snow, like most of my other snow looks weren’t (see here, here and here) but I enjoy creating outfits that really play off the white background, but are neutral too! I only have one more snow outfit to share with you after this as well, and that one is more snow appropriate thankfully, so you will be pleased to hear that, ha ha! How are you all anyway? I hope you’re well! I feel like I keep up to date with a lot of you on Instagram and I regularly chat there, but I like to know that you’re all doing well here too since not all of you are over on Instagram. What do you think of this look? I’m keeping the text short so it’s not too overwhelming as you’ve seen a lot of snow pictures already! Lorna xx. P.S. – Allsaints have a 40% off sale right now! So many amazing pieces! Click here. P.P.S –…

Let It Snow In Narnia

A Faux Fur Coat Outfit In The Snow Remember when it snowed? I still have a few photos to share with you from that weekend. These were actually the first set we shot and it was a blizzard out, so really I only have 4 photos and that was a push getting those, the rest of them are outtakes because my hair was everywhere and my face was screwed up from being freezing cold, ha ha. I really do like how these came out though as I’ve edited them to have a vintage appearance, and it reminds me so much of Narnia! I’m assuming most of you have seen The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe? If you haven’t, click here because Narnia is amazing! It just gave me vibes of that and I love it. I was wearing my Zara Faux Fur Coat which you have seen before, here and here, and layered it with my Brown Fluffy Zara Jumper again as I love that combination. I then chose my Pretty Little Thing Checked Trousers and added in my Louis Vuitton Reversible Belt to the mix to tone it down. These trousers actually have a ruffled waistband (remember this outfit?) and I tucked it under to create a different look, then finished it off with some flat boots. I did brave the cold snow for this look as my feet ended up freezing and I quickly changed to wellies, but shh, don’t tell anyone! As far as colour goes in my outfits, I’m sure you have noticed that I’m mostly only wearing neutrals these days and not really opting…

The Horse Coin Shirt With White Jeans

Topshop Horse Coin Shirt With Jeans So you saw my first outfit with this Topshop Horse Coin Shirt (if you missed it, see it here) and you all really liked the styling with the beige corduroy skirt, so what I have done for the second look is kept everything the same, but swapped out the skirt for a pair of AGOLDE Sophie Skinny Jeans in White, to bring a different vibe and feel to the outfit. The other pieces I was wearing are my Mulberry Small Darley in Oak, my Gucci GG Belt in Tan, and my Jimmy Choo Romy 85 Shoes. I’ve kept the location the same and everything else, so you can really see how different the outfit looks with one piece changed. I was surprised myself actually at how a pair of distressed white jeans makes the ensemble tougher, more casual, and gives it an edge, compared to how chic, feminine and classy it looked before, but both of them still have a playful twist because of the blouse. Since I covered everything else in the previous post, I don’t need to go into too much detail with this article, so I’m going to leave you with the big question of which look you prefer. Do you prefer it with the skirt, or with the jeans? I want to hear your arguments for both! Lorna xx.
