Double Denim And A Baseball Cap

Double Denim With A Baseball Cap Some blue denim! It’s been a little while since I wore blue denim, as someone pointed out to me on Instagram a couple of days ago, saying they missed it, so this is as close as I have got so far! I do plan on wearing my new blue jeans soon (these ones), so stay tuned! For this outfit though, it’s a casual and sporty look that I wore to town a couple of weekends ago. As you can see in some of the photos, it was on and off raining all day which is why I was wearing a hat and why my hair was frizzy. The British weather is just insane lately! Usually by mid June it’s scorching hot, but it’s freezing and constantly raining, so it’s all over the place as usual. Not that I’m complaining as I hate it when it’s too hot, just stating a fact since I’m British and it’s what we do – talk about the weather! I was wearing my GRLFRND Embroidered Denim Jacket (you saw it here before) which I layered over a grey tank top from GAP (picked this one up at Clarks Village) and paired it with my L’AGENCE Margot Skinny Jeans in Graphite (what else!). For my shoes I opted for my Balenciaga Race Runners in Black and then borrowed one of Adam’s baseball caps from New Era, since he has the largest collection! I thought the grey marl matched perfectly with the entire combination! Blue, black and grey is a winner! I find my taste in outfits varies every single day,…

A Beautiful Pastel Blue Summer Dress

A Beautiful Baby Blue Dress From Yumi Happy Friday everyone! I hope you have a fun weekend ahead! For those of you who have been following my trip to Clarks Village posts and watched the stories on my Instagram (see them here) you might remember this gorgeous Light Blue Yumi Dress! It was the first dress that I saw and fell in love with when I was at the shopping outlet, and I couldn’t believe the price as it was knocked down to just £16! They also had a pale pink and a pale yellow, but the baby blue was a shade that caught my eye, and since I don’t wear much blue at all (outside of denim anyway) I was mesmerised by it and knew I would love to style it. I took a size 10 in this Yumi Dress and it fits perfectly! I love the striped net that it has on the outside, and the separate petticoat underneath, which really adds to the look. I feel like this is the perfect summer dress to wear to a friends wedding or to a garden party, as it’s smart and classic, but also youthful and fun at the same time. Obviously it’s not available online as it’s past season, but I have included a few different blue dresses from Yumi as alternative options for you! I decided to style this dress with my Gucci Dionysus Bag and a pair of Topshop Wedges that I have had for years, in a complementary shade to give me some height. For the accessories, I chose the Ray-Ban Aviator Sunglasses in Mirrored Blue…

A Sexy Casual Going Out Outfit

A Casual Going Out Look At The Hotel Since most of my outfits revolve around the daytime looks that I share with you when I go out during the day, I thought it might be nice to showcase some more evening style looks. When it comes to dressing up for the evening though, I don’t tend to go full glam as it’s not really me, so I always have an element of casual in it, which is what this outfit here incorporates. We were at a hotel in Bristol when Adam and I shot these as we were there for a work shoot, but I really like how they turned out. The pieces I was wearing here are a T-Shirt from Pretty Little Thing, combined with one of their Denim Skirts, and then a pair of ALDO Thigh High Boots in Brown. I’m not turning this one into an outfit post either so that you can buy the options as it’s just a very casual look, but I wanted to share the photos as it’s something different for you here on my blog. If you follow me on Instagram you will have already seen a couple of these shots, and amazingly, the torso look is my best photo to date, it’s still going viral right now with the likes and follows, which I’m happy about, so hopefully you all feel the same here and love it too! You can see it on Instagram here and here, for a bit more of an uncensored version if you’re interested, ha ha. When it comes to looks like these though, I’m definitely a…

Sunsets And Pashmina’s

I’m doing a little throwback here to Autumn! Do you remember when I shared couple photos of myself and Adam in the Autumn leaves? Well around that time, I also shot these photos in the sunset of Lansdown Crescent here in Bath as the light was creating a stunning orange glow on the buildings. We only took a few pictures as the light was fading fast, but I think they’re so pretty! They really capture an Autumnal evening after a good day. I never got around to sharing them yet as I had so much other content and this was just a spontaneous shoot, so that’s why I’m not really making it into a full outfit blog post and putting the pieces to buy, as all of these are old. For those of you who do want to know, my top is by Topshop, jeans are by PAIGE, scarf is Zara (borrowed from Adam and worn as a pashmina) and the boots are Sam Edelman. Pretty much all of these pieces are in the couple blog post that I shared a link to above, so you can see them there. Otherwise, how many of you bloggers love doing spontaneous shoots as well? Do you ever see a gorgeous location and the perfect lighting and just feel like it would be a waste not to take that opportunity? I’m always feeling that way if my outfit and make-up is good, it’s a waste if I don’t do a shoot, ha ha. Such a funny mentality to have from an outside perspective! Lorna xx. P.S. – I got shortlisted in the Juliette’s…

The Dog Print Shirt And Velvet Chanel

Yumi Dalmatian Print Shirt With A Chanel Velvet Bag I hope you all had a lovely weekend! Adam and I spent it in Bristol doing a photoshoot session all weekend, and of course watching Eurovision on the TV! Glad to see we didn’t disappoint and came last, as always, ha ha. It was a very busy and hectic weekend for me, I was extremely tired and ended up with a migraine, but it was productive so we did get a lot done, including these photos that we shot on Friday! I had been planning this outfit for quite some time actually, and since it wasn’t raining, or too cold, it was the perfect time to wear it! I was wearing my Yumi Dalmatian Dog Print Shirt that I picked up at Clarks Village shopping outlet last month. Do you remember seeing it in my purchases in my trip to Clarks Village blog post that I did? I couldn’t wait to style it as it was the first piece that I picked up during the day there. As you can see from the photos, it has the cutest doggy print all over it, but as it’s black and white it’s also chic at the same time, which is why I decided to dress it up instead of down. I opted to pair this Yumi shirt with my L’AGENCE Margot skinny jeans in Graphite, tied together with my ASOS Western Belt. Then for the accessories, I added some height with my Christian Louboutin Pigalle 100 in Black, and then breaking the black and white theme, I chose my Chanel Small Boy Bag…

Cardiff Outfit – Take Two

A Second Outfit In Cardiff, Wales Happy Wednesday everyone! These are my second lot of photos taken in Cardiff, Wales, almost two weeks ago (see my first set here). We were looking around for different places to shoot the photos and there’s a couple that I took outside a church in the city centre, one that we took inside an arcade, but the lighting was too dark, and then on the way to Barry to get my tattoo, we found a beautiful park, so we decided to shoot the photos there instead. This little pathway with the trees either side of it was so beautiful, I liked how it framed everything. I can only imagine how nice Summer outfits would look here, so I might have to keep this location in mind for the future! For my outfit, I wanted something comfortable and casual as I was out all day in Wales, but also because I was getting my tattoo and wanted to be non restricted and without pain from tight clothes or shoes, so this is what I went with. As I’ve said before, this type of look has become somewhat of a uniform for me. I was wearing my new Zara Summer Coat, which would you believe only cost £29.99 as it’s lightweight? I layered it over my Mango Knitted Tank Top and wore my L’AGENCE Margot Graphite Skinny Jeans again, with my Louis Vuitton Belt wrapped around to tie it together. I went with my Fila Disruptor II in Feather Grey, and then threw on my Michael Kors Selma Bag, which I often use for traveling as…

That Wrap Red Dress

The French Connection Red Wrap Dress For those of you who saw my trip to Clarks Village blog post, you will remember this Red Wrap Dress that I picked up from French Connection as it seemed to be the star piece of the day! Of course I decided to style it the day after as we were amidst a heat wave, so it couldn’t have come at a more perfect time – it was meant to be! Honestly, I couldn’t wait to wear the dress, and I was excited to see how I wanted to style it for the first outing. I went with my Jimmy Choo Melba Boots and my Gucci Marmont Velvet Mini Bag in Black, as I think red and black together are really striking. I also chose my Ray-Ban Round Double Bridge Mirrored Sunglasses, and a gold watch. I of course matched a bold red lip to the dress as well, as it wouldn’t be complete without that. My favourite thing about this French Connection Red Dress is the colour and print of it. I’m always a fan of a wrap dress as I find them extremely flattering to an hourglass silhouette, and the bold, ruffle sleeves really help to hide your upper arms if your conscious about them. The deep neckline is really pretty, which coupled with the length of the dress is really modest. I cant fault it really! I’m usually a size UK 8 – 10 in my clothes, sometimes a 6, however I had to take a size UK 12 in this French Connection dress as it ran a bit smaller around…

A Casual Look For Cardiff

A Casual Outfit For Cardiff When I travel to a different place, in this instance, the wonderful country of Wales, I always like to see how different the backgrounds are from Bath when it comes to doing the outfit shoots. These photos were taken just outside of Cardiff Central train station and since I hadn’t been to Wales for a while, they finally finished all the renovations they were doing here and it’s now a large, open space with a fancy blue/grey building in the background. Here in Bath there are hardly any open spaces, since it’s very much a Georgian and Roman city, so everything is very close together and old, which I think is beautiful, but for getting a bokeh effect or a really blurry background, it’s not ideal. I included a couple of iPhone shots here too so you can see what I mean with the background. iPhone is clear all around, while the camera (Nikon D610 with 85mm lens) is wonderfully blurry. Of course we do get that sometimes here, but not to this level, and it was also nice to be using a background that wasn’t the classic yellow/beige Bath stone. I’m heading back to Wales soon for my tattoo so I plan on doing more outfit shoots there. Getting to my outfit, this is what I wore when I went for my tattoo consultation and since I was travelling a lot, it made sense to wear something comfortable and easy, so this is my go to. Much like you saw with my brown jeans outfit, I’m really favouring this look. I went with my…
