Californian Chic

I have always loved that Californian Chic style that celebs like Nicole Richie rock all the time. I like the baggy jeans with loose tank tops and lots of ethnic style jewellery but I never thought it would work for me. I have had these flared Rich & Skinny jeans for about a year and I have never worn them until now. I always put them aside thinking they just don’t work for my body shape (I don’t have long legs and I am more curvy than really skinny). These jeans were always really long so I thought why don’t I try them with my Topshop wedges seeing as they are really high and I was actually suprised they worked on me with these shoes. The wedges are about 5 inches high so seeing as the jeans cover the wedges and give the illusion of having longer slimmer legs I think I finally found a way of pulling off the look. Pairing the jeans and shoes with a loose white Warehouse tank top, Rayban Aviators and lots of rings, an ethnic cuff and necklaces really sets it off so I hope I pulled off that Californian style I was going for 🙂 Thankfully the weather has been amazingly hot the past couple of days! That really helps. It’s hit 28 Celsius today which is the hottest day of the year so far! Normally we never go past 21 Celsius here haha. Instead of going to see Iron Man 2 this weekend I went for a picnic in the park as it was so hot. I definitely couldn’t stay in these…

Clickity Clack Went The Denim Jacket

I’m beginning to get really fed up with the gloomy weather! I’m really missing the sunshine now! I bought lots of dresses, shorts and cute tops ready for the hot weather that we had and it still hasn’t come back yet! It’s supposed to be warming up this week though according to the weather forecast so I really hope it does! I got these Christian Louboutin Clic Clac booties around Christmas time and this is the first time I have worn them out. I’ve been afraid to because of how beautiful they are and with it always raining I didn’t want to damage the suede. I’m so glad I finally wore them though, they are so beautiful! The lace with the flower print on it against the suede and toggle button, it’s just beyond pretty! You have to see them in real life to appreciate them more. I wore my Clic Clac’s with a Domino denim jacket that I was kindly gifted after seeing it on the lovely Jessica Alba and falling in love, a Motel for Topshop Zebra Rose dress and an Anna Lou crystal bow bracelet. There is more writing below as I changed my shoes 🙂 I also decided to mix this outfit up for the day time and pair it with my DIY Christian Louboutin Legionana flats that I glittered myself. I think you can make it work either way, the denim jacket gives the impression of casual or more smarter, depending on your shoes. I also got a pair of AG Adriano Goldschmied jeans in the mail last week that they very kindly gifted to…

Fields Of Pretty Poppies

Poppies are such a pretty flower! I love it when I go passed a field and it looks like it’s been covered in a red blanket of petals, they just stand out and add so much colour to the green grass. When I saw this dress as I was just browsing around some clothes shops I fell completely in love with it! I adore floral prints and Summer dresses and the lace on the top of the dress makes it so cute and girly, I really like it. Miss Selfridge always seem to have so many clothes that suit my style and at such affordable prices 🙂 I’m hoping the weather will warm up so I can wear more dresses. It’s still pretty cold right now which makes me sad. I love the sunshine and the sky being a beautiful clear blue colour. In the photos I wore my Miss Selfridge Poppy dress with a Topshop long cream cardigan, Christian Louboutin Sock Mary Janes in metallic red, Disney Couture Tinkerbell earrings and a Swarovski crystal heart necklace that I got for my birthday last year. My eyes always light up every time I see crystals so I love jewellery that sparkles 🙂 So who else loves floral prints as much as I do?

Take Me Down To The Houlihan City

Where the grass is green and the trees are pretty… This weekend I went to go and see The Last Song with Miley Cyrus at the cinema. I knew the movie would be romantic and funny but I had no idea it would be so sad!! It was so emotional and such a tear jerker but I loved it! I thought Miley played her role ok, it’s different as I am used to seeing her in Hannah Montana. Liam Hemsworth acted well too, you can see the chemistry between them both. Greg Kinnear who plays the father and Bobby Coleman who plays the little brother were amazing though! I thought they acted brilliantly, they really made the film believable and I was so impressed by Bobby’s performance! I really liked the movie though and I can’t wait to buy it on DVD! I wore my J Brand Houlihan cargo pants in Vintage Olive which J Brand were kind enough to gift me last week. This is the 3rd time I have worn them now! I had no idea I would fall in love with them so much and that they would be this comfy! They are beautiful and the fit is perfect. I’m in love with them! I wore them with my trusty Topshop wedges, a Warehouse white tank top and my Mike & Chris brown fleece vest. I have had this Mike & Chris vest for a while! Maybe a year but I never got around to wearing it yet. I find it suits the Houlihan cargo pants perfectly and the wedges add a femininity to the outfit as…

Jump Into June Lake

Last weekend was a quiet weekend for me, I did plan on seeing Iron Man 2 but I decided I should wait a little while because I really don’t like sitting in the cinema when it’s completely packed. I plan on seeing it, maybe this weekend, but then I might watch The Last Song with Miley Cyrus instead, I’m not sure, there are quite a lot of good films out at the moment that I would love to watch! Being that I live in England with this crazy weather, I thought it might be good to try and take a few outfit photos when it was dry. I had fun dodging the rain showers… Haha! One minute it’s raining, the next it’s sunny, then it’s raining and then it’s sunny… It goes on. I was waiting inside by the door for the rain to go off so I could review and photo one of my favourite pairs of Jeggings that I own and love 🙂 I wore my Paige Premium Verdugo Jeggings in June Lake, my Christian Louboutin Cramberry Declic 90 shoes which I love and have worn many times now. The colour is stunning! In the sunlight it’s the most prettiest shade of pinky/purple. My Swarovski Tinkerbell silver and crystal necklace I got for Christmas. It’s so pretty! Her wings and her shoes are made out of crystals. My Adele Marie Swarovski Fuchsia bangle and a Miss Selfridge butterfly tank top with lace across the back. I also have on some Tinkerbell earrings from Disney Couture. I normally wear jewellery I make myself, especially earrings, but I decided it…

Gummy Denim & Wedges Heaven

I’m sad the sun has gone away! It has been sunny here in England for about 2 weeks and now we have rain for a week. I thought the new sunshine was too good to be true for this country haha. Luckily I took these photos a day before the weather changed 🙂 I’m wearing my 7 For All Mankind Gummy Gwenevere denim leggings so much! They are one of my favourite pairs and they match almost everything. I love that about them! I paired them with my Topshop T-Bar wedges which you can see in the other photos below, a simple River Island T-Shirt, cherry colour checked scarf and my Miss Selfridge Bracelet and Hair Bow. I never really used to be a fan of 7 For All Mankind until last year. They gifted me a pair of Gwenevere’s in Soho which I fell in love with. Since then I have quite a collection of their jeans 🙂 I’ve been in love with the denim leggings trend for a long time as well and now they brought out the Gummy Denim it’s just perfect! Courageous Colourful Coral

This weekend I did a little shopping around town and found some shops I never knew existed in my City. It sparked a few childhood memories as I found one of those strawberry lollipops that is also a whistle! I had to have that and then I found those old mood rings as well, I also had to have one of those! I’ve been wearing it every day since. I love how it changes colour with the temperature. Thank you Hawkins Bazaar for existing! They have so much stuff in there from the past! Even the original toy phones etc from when I was a baby! I’m definitely making a trip back to that store 🙂 I also went round my regular shops and ate lunch outside the Abbey. The Abbey is so beautiful and historic! It’s amazing. I will take some photos of it when I next go into town but I never took a camera with me this time so I took the photos in the woodland area at home. I wore a Coral Dress from Asos, Pewter Bloch Ballerina flats, Ray Ban Aviators, Miss Selfridge Heart Shell necklace, Bangles and a Bow Hair Clip. I then changed for the evening, keeping the same dress and sunglasses but wearing my Topshop T-Bar wedges and a Miss Selfridge colourful Cardigan that I got in the sale. I am in love with this dress and these shoes! I watched the movie Dear John with Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried in the evening too. It’s such a beautiful film! I cried during the sad parts but it was amazing. I honestly…

Flower Power

I was so excited when I found this Fuchsia Dress by Mina because it has my favourite flowers on it! Fuchsia Gerberas! I think it’s so pretty and the print is gorgeous! I paired it with my new Topshop T-Bar Wedges in Tan and my Adele Marie Fuchsia Swarovski bangle that I got last year in Harrods on my birthday when I visited London. I normally wouldn’t pick wedges this high but they truly are stunning and I am in love with them! I have worn them for 3 days straight since buying them on Saturday 🙂 This was the first time wearing my Mina dress out though, I’m so glad I did. It’s so bright and it screams Summer. My Adele Marie bangle is actually probably one of my most worn pieces of Jewellery, I have worn it every week since August last year! The sunset was so beautiful this evening too, the entire sky was bright orange! I’m really lucky to live right next to endless fields, it’s mesmerizing when the sun goes down and it looks like the whole sky is glowing orange, red and pink. I have a better blog post coming this week showcasing the wedges more so you can see them but for now I have these flowery photos 🙂 I’m also loving the Fuchsia Gerbera photos with the chocolate heart in the middle. I found those 2 photos on google by Vanessa Pike and I had to share!
