A New Health Diagnosis & Treatment Plan

Hey everyone, it’s been a little while since I gave you all an update on everything, and honestly it’s been hard finding the strength to sit down and actually write this blog post. Mostly because I don’t even know where to begin, but also because I’ve been in a state of overwhelm for a while and it’s been difficult processing my own emotions on top of trying to find the words to make them make sense. It’s stuff that goes through my head at night and doesn’t allow me to sleep properly, but I do know that when I share and get things out in the open, it’s a weight lifted and it helps in recovering, so I feel ready now to put my fingers to the keyboard and type what flows out. I was recently diagnosed with PCOS – Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. For those of you that don’t know what it is, it’s a condition that causes cysts on the ovaries and an imbalance of hormones. I produce way too much testosterone, my estrogen is very low, and my prolactin levels in my brain are very high. My TSH levels for my thyroid came back as elevated too, but we are re-checking and dealing with that in a few months time. I’ve had issues with acne since I started puberty, and I’ve had cysts on my ovaries for many years, but within the last 6 months or so, I would say my symptoms have started getting a lot worse. My acne has flared up to be really bad, excess hair growth that comes with too much testosterone has gotten…

Angel Leather Jacket – Affordable Luxury

Affordable Luxury In A Leather Jacket It’s no secret to anyone that I absolutely love leather jackets. I have amassed quite the collection over the years, as you know, and they’re definitely a go to of mine when I I’m putting outfits together. Leather jackets can be fairly expensive though, especially when you’re looking at one from a luxury brand, so they’re not always affordable, however, Angel Jackets is here to meet that gap in the market. They pride themselves on creating luxury you can afford, and with their real leather jackets priced at less than $200, that’s an amazing price point for such a staple closet piece! Everyone should be able to afford such an iconic item in my opinion! I’m wearing the Amber Asymmetrical Black Motorcycle Jacket by Angel Jackets and it’s priced at $199. It’s a classic moto style leather jacket with a flap pocket on the front, and zipped pockets with silver hardware. It’s made from real leather and is quite comfortable too! The sizing does run a little bit big as I had to pick size XS in this one, and I can layer knitwear underneath, so if you are between sizes, I recommend going down one size. The XS fits size UK 4-6 I believe, but I’m pretty much a true size UK 8, occasionally a 6, and it’s a little big on me, so do keep that in mind! This leather jacket would be great for someone who is a little taller than I am too. I am not blessed with a tonne of height as I’m only 5ft 4, but given its…

I Was On An American TV Talk Show

On Sittin’ Down With Kelby King I have something super exciting to share with you guys! You all know that I was in the United States, and I actually spent 3 months there this time around, and not only did I co-host a radio show, I actually was invited to be a guest on a TV Talk Show! I was the guest, twice, on Sittin’ Down With Kelby King, which is a local talk show in Ohio that airs on the TV on Wednesday’s at 9pm. I can say that it was a really surreal experience, seeing myself on TV, and actually being on set. It’s not something I have done before, but it has always been a dream of mine! I’m really excited that I’m ticking things off of my goals list, like attending a red carpet premiere, designing jeans, winning awards etc., now I get to tick TV talk show off of that list too! I’m still aiming high though as I would love to be a guest on others! I plan on sharing more about my trip to the USA this time around soon, but for now, I wanted to make a dedicated blog post with episode 1 and episode 2 of Sittin’ Down With Kelby King! You can watch them below and let me know what you think! We spoke about me and my career, as well as fashion, in the first episode, and then we chatted about the difference in UK and US culture, and she even made me try a Twinkie in the second episode! So don’t miss my reaction to that, ha ha!…

A Look At My 2021 Outfits & My New Years Goals

Happy New Year Everyone! I feel like I say this every year, but wow, this year sure did go by fast! I can’t believe I’m doing a roundup of the year again, when it doesn’t feel like 12 months has passed at all. One thing I can say though is that I looked back at my goals for 2021, and I have achieved quite a few of them! Not to mention they’re absolutely huge goals too, which I’m really proud of myself for achieving! As always, I’ve rounded up my favourite outfits of the year as well, so you can look at those below! But first, lets look at the things I listed last year, and how that went for me this year! Going to America – Well, since I’m writing this blog post out from Ohio, USA, I think that went well, ha ha. This is my second time visiting the United States and I finally got my dream! I was always afraid of flying and I’ve gone from zero flights in my entire life, to 5 flights this year alone! I went to Croatia in August, then onto America, then back home, and back out to America again. I’m extremely proud of myself as I did it all alone, and you guys know how much of a big thing travelling like that is to me! Fixing my teeth – I got Invisalign back in April of 2021 and my teeth are almost fully straight! I will be finished in February/March, and I cannot wait! I have always been self conscious of my wonky and overcrowded teeth, but now…

Happy Christmas Everyone!

Merry Christmas Everyone! I wanted to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas! To all of you who have been with me since the beginning, or over a few years, I love you all so much and can’t thank you enough for the support. It would be lovely to hear from you if you want to drop me a comment, as I get so many views to my posts, but not many comments, so reach out and I will say hi back! Spreading some festive cheer! As I’m typing this out, I am currently sat in Ohio in the United States! Yep, you read that correctly! I made it back to America and I’m spending the holidays here! I wont be coming home until the end of January, and I’m renting an apartment for my time here. I’m super excited to be with friends and see what an American Christmas is going to be like! I literally cannot wait! It will be interesting to see how they celebrate New Years Eve too! Anyway, I’m keeping this super short and sweet! Let me know what you’re doing for the Holiday season! Lorna xx.

My Ohio, United States Photo Diary – Part 1

Christen and I in his car. I’ve officially been in the United States, specifically Ohio, for 19 days now! I can’t believe it’s almost 3 weeks! I go back home in 2 and a half weeks, and there’s still so much that I want to do and see. I’m splitting my photo diary into about 3 different blog posts because there’s so much to share, so here’s part one, which compiles some of the snaps I took from the first 2 weeks. I don’t want to write too much text as it’s quite picture heavy, so I will just put a few little captions underneath each pic. So far though, after arriving here from Croatia, I’m having a wonderful time and experiencing so much! I’ve already been to Walmart, Kroger, Meijer, Bob Evans, Fizoli’s, Chipotle, Circle K, Old Navy, American Eagle, Wendy’s, McDonald’s, Taco Bell, Kohl’s, Texas Roadhouse and so much more! The scenery is amazing here too! The sky is stunning in the evenings, everything is so big and open spaced, the cars are on the wrong side of the road… Ha ha. I love the USA and everyone is so friendly! As you know from my previous post though, I’m staying here with Christen, and meeting him when I arrived into Columbus, Ohio airport was so surreal. I met a lovely lady on the second flight from Newark to Columbus, and she took our photo as I arrived. When I was in Newark airport in New Jersey, I got to see the New York skyline out of the window, and that was pretty incredible! I can’t wait to…

My Cavtat Croatia Travel Diary

Hey everyone! I said I would update you with a Croatian travel diary and let you know where I stayed etc., and here it is! I am no longer in Croatia, I took a flight out of Dubrovnik on Tuesday, into Newark in New Jersey, USA! Then took a connecting flight to Ohio, to finally stay with Christen! Remember I was telling you guys on 4th of July that I wanted to finally get to the United States and spend my time with Christen? Well, I’m FINALLY HERE! It was almost a full 24 hour day of travelling. The flight from Croatia to Newark was almost 10 hours, and then I had a 4 hour layover, then an hour and a half flight into Columbus, Ohio, where Christen met me. After knowing each other online for an extremely long time, to finally be in person is amazing! So I will be updating you all with a post on how things are here, and a USA travel diary too, but for now, check out my photos below and what happened in Croatia! I absolutely love these photos here at sunset! As you know I travelled to Croatia alone for 16 days, but I did end up making friends. There were a couple of girls in the same apartment building as me, and they were alone too, and we hit it off! You can see some pics of them below, but I’ve definitely made friends for life and it was so much fun going out to dinner sometimes and sightseeing! The sunsets were beyond stunning though, so you can’t really go wrong…

My Invisalign Journey – Half Way Update

I thought I would give you a halfway update on my Invisalign journey! I’m on aligner number 19 now, and I know that’s a little over halfway as I have 33 aligners in total, but it’s taken me a little while to put this blog post together for you all. For those of you who don’t already know, I started my Invisalign journey for straight teeth back in March of this year, and it’s now July. I am seeing Dr. Rachael Hampton at Aquae Sulis Dental Practice, here in Bath, and I couldn’t be more happy with everything so far! I’ve already been for a check up back in May, and everything with my teeth is perfectly on track and going well! Considering that I used to have a bad fear of the dentist, I no longer have one at all now and don’t mind heading there to get my teeth checked, and that really is thanks to the wonderful staff and experience. I cannot recommend Aquae Sulis and Rachael enough, to any of you. I’m so glad that I did my research and chose them for my Invisalign process! So here are some pictures of my teeth now! The top photos are before, and the bottom photos are their current positioning. You can really see just how much they have moved and how much straighter they are already! It’s amazing! I’m even getting compliments from people who know me now too, saying my teeth are so much straighter and they can really tell the difference, which of course makes me a lot more confident to smile now too. Regarding…
