My Ohio, United States Photo Diary – Part 1

Christen and I in his car. I’ve officially been in the United States, specifically Ohio, for 19 days now! I can’t believe it’s almost 3 weeks! I go back home in 2 and a half weeks, and there’s still so much that I want to do and see. I’m splitting my photo diary into about 3 different blog posts because there’s so much to share, so here’s part one, which compiles some of the snaps I took from the first 2 weeks. I don’t want to write too much text as it’s quite picture heavy, so I will just put a few little captions underneath each pic. So far though, after arriving here from Croatia, I’m having a wonderful time and experiencing so much! I’ve already been to Walmart, Kroger, Meijer, Bob Evans, Fizoli’s, Chipotle, Circle K, Old Navy, American Eagle, Wendy’s, McDonald’s, Taco Bell, Kohl’s, Texas Roadhouse and so much more! The scenery is amazing here too! The sky is stunning in the evenings, everything is so big and open spaced, the cars are on the wrong side of the road… Ha ha. I love the USA and everyone is so friendly! As you know from my previous post though, I’m staying here with Christen, and meeting him when I arrived into Columbus, Ohio airport was so surreal. I met a lovely lady on the second flight from Newark to Columbus, and she took our photo as I arrived. When I was in Newark airport in New Jersey, I got to see the New York skyline out of the window, and that was pretty incredible! I can’t wait to…

My Cavtat Croatia Travel Diary

Hey everyone! I said I would update you with a Croatian travel diary and let you know where I stayed etc., and here it is! I am no longer in Croatia, I took a flight out of Dubrovnik on Tuesday, into Newark in New Jersey, USA! Then took a connecting flight to Ohio, to finally stay with Christen! Remember I was telling you guys on 4th of July that I wanted to finally get to the United States and spend my time with Christen? Well, I’m FINALLY HERE! It was almost a full 24 hour day of travelling. The flight from Croatia to Newark was almost 10 hours, and then I had a 4 hour layover, then an hour and a half flight into Columbus, Ohio, where Christen met me. After knowing each other online for an extremely long time, to finally be in person is amazing! So I will be updating you all with a post on how things are here, and a USA travel diary too, but for now, check out my photos below and what happened in Croatia! I absolutely love these photos here at sunset! As you know I travelled to Croatia alone for 16 days, but I did end up making friends. There were a couple of girls in the same apartment building as me, and they were alone too, and we hit it off! You can see some pics of them below, but I’ve definitely made friends for life and it was so much fun going out to dinner sometimes and sightseeing! The sunsets were beyond stunning though, so you can’t really go wrong…

My Invisalign Journey – Half Way Update

I thought I would give you a halfway update on my Invisalign journey! I’m on aligner number 19 now, and I know that’s a little over halfway as I have 33 aligners in total, but it’s taken me a little while to put this blog post together for you all. For those of you who don’t already know, I started my Invisalign journey for straight teeth back in March of this year, and it’s now July. I am seeing Dr. Rachael Hampton at Aquae Sulis Dental Practice, here in Bath, and I couldn’t be more happy with everything so far! I’ve already been for a check up back in May, and everything with my teeth is perfectly on track and going well! Considering that I used to have a bad fear of the dentist, I no longer have one at all now and don’t mind heading there to get my teeth checked, and that really is thanks to the wonderful staff and experience. I cannot recommend Aquae Sulis and Rachael enough, to any of you. I’m so glad that I did my research and chose them for my Invisalign process! So here are some pictures of my teeth now! The top photos are before, and the bottom photos are their current positioning. You can really see just how much they have moved and how much straighter they are already! It’s amazing! I’m even getting compliments from people who know me now too, saying my teeth are so much straighter and they can really tell the difference, which of course makes me a lot more confident to smile now too. Regarding…

A Little Life Update + 4th Of July

Hey everyone! I said I would give you a little life update, and that’s what this post is! A lot of the restrictions have been lifted here in England now (thank goodness), so I’ve been able to do a lot more things with people, which has made the world of difference to my mental health. In all honesty, going through so much lock down and the constant restrictions on how we can live our lives has been one of the worst experiences for me, to the point where I’ve cried a lot from frustration. I’m always real with you guys and I just haven’t been coping all that well with it. I know I’m not alone and it’s worldwide, but when you’re separated from someone you love who’s in a different country, and you’re still not allowed to see them, it’s incredibly testing. You may be wondering what I’m talking about as I’ve kept my love life out of my blog, so I will explain a little bit below. First up though, these are two different looks I wore for 4th of July! The first one is my Allsaints Elva leather jacket that I layered over my Ralph Lauren flag knit, paired with some black jeans and my Saint Laurent West Harness boots, finished off with a Brixton hat. I think it’s a much edgier way to style something patriotic to a country that I love so much. The other look below is a Ralph Lauren USA flag tee, with my Good American Good Waist jeans! I’m well aware that I am British, before you guys say anything, and yes…

My Invisalign Journey Review For Straight Teeth

My Invisalign Review at Aquae Sulis Dental with Dr. Rachael Hampton I have finally started my teeth straightening journey! I have spoken about it a few times over the last few months, and have wanted straight teeth since I was a teenager. I actually went to an orthodontist when I was about 13, but they wanted to remove two teeth, and I’d have been wearing the train track metal braces for at least two years. I decided not to go ahead with that as I didn’t want two healthy teeth pulled out. As I’ve gotten older though, I found my teeth were getting more crowded and I found out that’s because they continue to move over time, so it was time to finally get them straightened! I did a lot of research on Invisalign, I watched a tonne of YouTube videos, I googled everything I could. I made sure that I found the best place that I could, and that happened to be Dr. Rachael Hampton, at Aquae Sulis Dental, who in my opinion, is the best Invisalign orthodontist in Bath! I looked up her before and after photos on Instagram (click here to see those) and was beyond impressed with her work. I wanted a dentist that took their job as a passion, and creates art, and that’s what Rachael does, in order to get the most perfect teeth! Rachael was perfectly suited to me as she believes in promoting dentistry that adds to the teeth, and doesn’t take healthy tooth away, like veneers and crowns do. After researching her work and seeing how good she is with aligning,…

Photo Updates & Outfit Try Ons

Hi everyone! I hope that you’re all well and trying to get through the lock down as best as possible. I know it’s getting a little bit frustrating for me at the moment, and not being able to go out and shoot photos either, it’s quite stressful, so a lot of my photos are being taken in my bedroom at the moment. Anyway, I thought I would do a little photo update and include some things that have been inspiring me lately, and also some new purchases, as well as outfits I put together! Let me know what you think! The above photo is a section of my closet/wardrobe that I love the most! I put together a little area with my best pieces of clothing, and my boots! Most of the items in here are from Allsaints, Saint Laurent, Chloe, and more! I call it my drip closet, ha ha. As you know, I did a Gucci Double GG Belt Review a few years ago, on the 4cm version, which I own two of, but I recently purchased two of the smaller 2cm belts, in the light brown and gold, and black and silver. I think these are the perfect size for not being too overwhelming, but still making an impact. I’m obsessed with these belts and have already worn them! You can buy the brown here and the black here. I like organising my closet sections with a colour palette gradient, as you can see. These are my coats and jackets that are colour coordinated! I was trying on a brand new red dress that I got here…

The 6 Goals I want To Achieve In 2021

2021 is my year 2020 pushed, pulled, and stretched me to the point of breaking, and like I mentioned in another blog post that I wrote, it’s actually made me not take things for granted as much. Usually I don’t do the things I want to do because I’m the one stopping myself, either from fear and anxiety, or because I just assume that I can do it at any other time, however, last year taught me a big lesson. Being stopped from doing all the things I would usually do, and all the things I wanted to do, frustrated me and made me realise that life can be short. It’s a privilege to be here on Earth and live the way we do, and I should stop letting the anxieties in my head hold me back. Things have taken a turn for the worse again, and we’ve gone back into a national lock down for 6 weeks, so I’m still being stopped from my goals, but I’m not taking anything for granted, and as soon as things open up properly, I’m not waiting. I’m going to push myself into starting my life properly, not coasting, opening myself up, and living the year that I have dreamed of. Here are 6 goals of mine that I am going to achieve this year: Remember my dream of going to the United States? It’s been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. I have always been afraid of flying, so I’ve never been on a plane, but this is the year I am getting on a plane by…

The Small Things I Was Thankful For This Year

It’s the little things in life… 2020 has been incredibly tough for everyone, with everything that has been going on. And I know I touched on it briefly in another post, but it’s been one of the hardest years of my entire life. I’m always honest with you here, and I feel lately I haven’t opened up as much as I used to and connected with you, and that’s purely because I have been in a very vulnerable and unhappy place for some time. I don’t think I have ever cried as much in my entire life put together, as I have this year. It’s been one hell of a journey, but I’m finally starting to feel like I’m in a better place at the moment. With this in mind, I thought I would do some writing/sharing therapy here and explain a little bit about my year, and then focus on the positives of what’s kept me going this year, and I’m extremely thankful for. As you know, in January, Adam and I broke up after being together around 12 years and engaged. I had known him for almost half of my lifetime, and he’d been my best friend for that duration of time. Things didn’t work out in the end, and even though we decided to remain friends and work together, that didn’t happen and unfortunately he has moved on in a different direction. This is really sad as he’s important to me, and I can only hope things change in the future. Then there’s another guy, one that I have been friends with since late last year, from…
