5 Must Have Designer Accessories

(Image Credit: Apartment Therapy) I get asked quite often for my opinion on building a designer wardrobe and the pieces you might need to add to your collection if you’re looking for investment accessories, so I thought I would put a blog post together on that subject – 5 must have designer accessories. While I know a lot of these items are out of budget for a lot of people (myself included most of the time as I have to specifically save for my items and sell others I own), I know it’s going to be of use to a lot of people at the same time. The best thing about designer accessories is that if you get it right, they can often be re-sold later down the line for a similar price to what you paid, so they are investment items as much as they are statement and luxury goods. These are 5 pieces I think you can’t go wrong with and do need if you’re looking to build a luxury collection of items you can wear on a regular basis. I always find it’s best to invest in the accessories much more than the clothes as clothes can’t be worn constantly and don’t hold their value, so check out my choices below. Currently Craving Wish List: February 2018

I’ve managed to tick a few beautiful pieces off of my 2018 designer wish list and I’m really excited about that, however there’s always more coming out that I fall in love with and some of them have made it onto my February wish list. First up is that ACNE Bomber Jacket – I’ve had that tab open for over a month now as the colour is gorgeous, but it’s a little out of my price range and I already own a burgundy bomber. Pretty though isn’t it? Then it’s an embroidered kimono from Topshop, I love pieces like that for the warm months ahead. I always adore Citizens of Humanity and can’t get enough of their jeans, so it’s no surprise those made it to my list! Such a nice wash. Then it’s a Free People Jumper that I’ve wanted for ages, also in black as well at number 6. I have been searching for a slouchy cream jumper like that to wear with jeans for so long and hadn’t found one, until now. I love white denim in the Spring too so those skinny white DL1961 jeans are ideal! Boda Skins Kay Michaels Women’s Leather Jacket Review As you know, I had been wanting a Boda Skins Kay Michaels Leather Jacket for years! I think the very first time I saw them was in 2014 and I had completely fallen in love. That was back when they did an array of colours that were really popular among fashion bloggers. I’ve admired the Black Kay Michaels for years as it’s an absolute classic, but the price tag always meant I didn’t take the plunge and instead ended up getting a few ALLSAINTS leather jackets instead. I’ve still always kept my eye on the brand though and when I saw at Christmas they were having a 10% extra sale on gift cards and a private sale on end of season jackets – I jumped! I bought a gift card which I got 10% extra added on to it, and the price of this Antique Creased Brown version was £337 in the sale. It meant I got it for just under £300 instead of the £449 price tag they retail at. I had secretly loved the Antique Creased Brown for months, especially as Adam owns one, and a tan brown was something that I didn’t own, just a dark brown, and since a lot of my bags and shoes have gold hardware, it just made sense to opt for this one with gold, which complements the tan nicely. Currently Craving: January 2018

It’s been one of those months where everything has been a bit of a blur and I’m still trying to figure things out and get organised. The last couple of weekends have been good though as I managed to get a lot of sorting out done, my schedule is organised, I’m up to date with everything so I’m heading into this week clearly and it’s a good feeling. It’s funny how organising things makes you have a clearer mind, isn’t it? Anyway, getting to this post, my Currently Craving Wish List is here! For the first one of the year, I’ve chosen quite a few simple things and I love them all! Some are really great for Valentine’s Day like those beautiful red Topshop Boots, or the heart glitter earrings, and especially the Yankee Candle roses candle, but I also thought the Kate Spade Love Letters Bag was just adorable! How cute is that for a Valentine’s Day inspired moment? I fell in love with it! My 2018 Ultimate Designer Wish List

I thought I would do a different type of post today and share with you the items I am in love with, but in a different way to my Currently Craving Wish Lists as this contains the pieces I definitely want. I managed to tick a few things off my wish list last year like the Gucci GG Belt and Princetown Loafers, as well as the Gucci Marmont Belt Bag and the Dionysus Shoulder Bag. Yep, I did go a little crazy over Gucci last year, but so did everyone. They were literally the brand to watch! My tastes this year though so far are much more varied when it comes to brands and items, so I’m looking at Celine, Boda Skins, Balenciaga, Mansur Gavriel, Chanel, Chloe and even Golden Goose. Of course Stuart Weitzman is always on my list, but not included in this wish list for 2018 as I’m uncertain on the fit compared to the custom size boots I usually get. My 7 Must Have Premium Skinny Jeans – I Live In Them! When it comes to denim, I’ve been working with it since I was about 18 (almost 12 years). I have written about my back story and how I got into jeans and premium denim in the first place (read it here), and even though I own The Jeans Blog, which is where I publish everything denim related, including my denim reviews, I thought it might be nice to share something jeans related here too! I know a lot of you aren’t always interested in my other blog as it’s not personal, therefore missing my reviews etc, so I’ve decided to put together my Top 7 Premium Skinny Jeans that are a must have! Christmas Gift Guide From Me, My Mum & Adam

Raindrops of Sapphire Christmas Gift Guide It’s Christmas! Well, almost! December is the best month in the Winter and I’m still always excited by the lights, the festivities and everything else! I always do a gift guide for Christmas every single year, but this time I thought I might do something a bit different. Instead of choosing all the items myself, I’ve got a gift guide from my mum and Adam as well. I’m very aware that as a solo female blogger, my tastes in things are often not as broad as they could be for every one of you, which is why I’ve gone for three options! My gift guide covers all the things I like and think would make good Christmas presents, based on me as an almost 30 year old female that’s into fashion and accessories (but not so much into beauty). My mum is 51 so she has more of a liking to things that would be suitable for the older lady and she adores beauty (as I’m sure you can tell). Then finally, Adam is 35 and his tastes vary as a fashionable male that also loves gadgets and gaming, so items that could be suitable for the men in your life. 12 Funky Unisex Christmas Jumpers

12 Funky & Cool Unisex Christmas Jumpers When it comes to December, I’m all about Christmas jumpers! Heck, I’ve been wearing them in November too! That’s how much I love them. I’m no stranger to creating different outfits that incorporate festive knitwear either as I’m sure you can remember quite a few of the outfits I’ve worn on my fashion blog that include them! For those of you who are newer to Raindrops of Sapphire, or those who just want to see again, I’ve included some of my favourites at the bottom of this post.
