Get Your Cat On – Sexy Black Cat Outfit

My family and I don’t celebrate Halloween due to the fact of what it represents, however I love the way the Americans celebrate the holiday as they don’t often do it with spooky and scary decorations. Even though I’m not going to a Halloween party or hosting one myself, I thought it would be fun to create a look that I would love to wear. As I adore cats, I’ve always wanted to be cat woman, so I’ve put together a sexy cat inspired look. I really love how this turned out, especially as it’s not scary, it’s just a regular outfit with a cat mask. I think it’s suitable for any themed costume party, not just Halloween. What do you think of it? And what are you planning on going to any parties dressed as? Since I love this outfit so much, I might actually go out and buy some cat ears if I can find some! To match my Citizens of Humanity jeans and my Topshop black heels!

Day Time And Party Looks For Autumn

I have collaborated with Debenhams to create two looks that I think are perfect for Autumn! Debenhams have just launched new lines of Autumn coats and dresses, so doing this post was a lot of fun! The first outfit I created (above) is definitely suitable for day time and it also has a classy feel to it with the navy faux fur collar coat and the Miss KG Arctic booties. I think the look is kept fun with the wine coloured skinny jeans, cute gemstone rings and the colour block bag. This is definitely something I would wear myself and it’s an outfit that I think is pretty much an essential for the cold Autumn day time! It reminds me a lot of this outfit I wore previously. The next look below is for the night time, particularly if you have a party to go to! I know it’s not a very warm outfit, but if you are indoors I think it will be fine! I kept it quite festive with the beautiful gothic lace dress in red, but I also added some fun elements with the hints of leopard in the Dune heels and clutch. I really love this outfit too and would definitely wear it out for an evening. I also kept it colour coordinated with the bracelets by choosing red, gold and black with elements of leopard print in those too. All of these items are available on the Debenhams website, but which outfit do you like the most? Comment and let me know!

The Military Camo & Army Print Inspired Trend

The military, camo and army print trend has crept upon us in full swing right now. I wasn’t 100% sure that I liked it at first as I have always found the print to be quite masculine and very unfeminine. I started out with the khaki jacket with leather sleeves style (which you can see here) and as it turns out, I really loved that, so I’ve now opted into the full camo print jacket and I was suprised to say that I actually love it. It is pretty masculine, but if paired with a dark colour and other feminine silhouettes like heels, skin tight jeans and jewellery, it manages to make it work really well. Have you tried the camo trend yet? I spotted Kate Moss in a jacket, similar to mine below, last week and she looked amazing. Since she has worn the military trend, I can tell it’s going to take off in full force and we will be seeing the print everywhere soon! All of the pieces above (except for number 3) are from Topshop, so you can buy those by clicking here, while number 3 is from Pull & Bear. Also, the below images are a sneak preview of an outfit post to come! What do you think?

My New Purchases From London

So as promised, here are my purchases from London from the weekend. For those of you who missed the post (you can see it here). I said I would reveal what was hiding in the shopping bags as soon as I could and here everything is! Since everything was insanely hectic in London, I never tried anything on, I usually just analyze the item and I can tell from looking at it if it will fit me, so I just take what I think will fit and hope for the best. Luckily everything worked out perfectly! Above (left) is a LOVE burgundy maxi skirt which I picked up at Topshop on Oxford Street and (right) an elephant necklace from Urban Outfitters. As you know burgundy is a weakness of mine and I couldn’t resist the colour and the elephant is just adorable! I have had my eye on it for some time. Above is a Pull and Bear khaki jacket with faux leather sleeves. Again, I got this on Oxford Street as I passed by the store. It’s much better suited to me than the Topshop version that I wanted in my wish list because this one has a drawstring waist and the other one doesn’t, so it looked too boxy. I much prefer it when brands take masculine items and make them feminine. If you want a masculine item you can just buy a men’s version, so that’s why I favoured this one instead. I did give you a preview of this worn on Instagram (@LornaRaindrops) and I love how it fits! Above are two swallow print shirts/blouses from…

Some New Purchases – Wedge Sneakers, Dip Dye, Burgundy & More!

It’s been a little while since I put together a new purchases post, so here it finally is! These are all pieces that I have bought over the past month, but two of them I got given as a birthday gift. Even though everything I buy is usually fairly cheap (unless I’ve saved for something expensive) I have to cut back on my spending. I had three part time jobs, 2 of which are blogging and the other was doing some listings for a company, however the listings job I can no longer do as the shop closed, so I’m still in the process of looking for something else I can do. So on that note, I probably wont have a new purchases post for quite some time again as I’m not able to get anything. I think I am going to take to doing DIY and customizing my current clothes! I love doing that! And of course I will share it with you. Anyway, above is my new River Island hidden wedge trainers/sneakers in burgundy. I’m not usually a sporty shoe kind of girl, but I fell in love with these a couple of weeks ago and couldn’t take my eyes off of them, so I finally decided to snap them up. They don’t make my feet look really big, which is something I worry about, and the burgundy colour is so pretty! For shoes they weren’t overly expensive either. I love them! (Follow me on Twitter, Bloglovin and Facebook) I got these dip dye shorts from Topshop about 6 weeks ago, but I don’t think I ever shared…

Some New Clothes Purchases

Over the past couple of months, I have acquired some new purchases, so I thought I would share them with you all in one big post. A couple of items you have already seen, like the denim shirt, grey denim leggings and the studded ombre jumper/sweater, but the rest I haven’t yet shared with you. So from left to right in the top image is a pink jumper/sweater I got in the sale from Topshop, a nude shirt with neon pink piping from the sale in Miss Selfridge, orange Earnest Sewn jeans which I got given to review, a yellow Zara blazer I purchased in London last month, mint leggings from Miss Selfridge, Topshop denim and crochet shorts and some lilac leggings from Miss Selfridge. (Follow me on Twitter, Bloglovin and Facebook) This is just a close up photo so you can see the details and fabrics a little better than the far away image at the top. Plus, I love to see such bright colours laid out next to each other as it’s so pretty to look at! The sequin pair of denim shorts above are from Topshop and I love them! They are the pair I fell in love with from the press day last year (which you can see here) so I definitely needed them as a part of my closet when they became available. I haven’t had chance to wear them yet, but I can’t wait to! Above are a pair of Aztec leggings from Miss Selfridge which I also fell in love with! I think they are so much fun! Also a black PU Leather…

My CLIENT Personalised Scarf

I got this really cute and pretty scarf in the mail from a new brand called CLIENT. They embroidered my initials onto the scarf in bright orange which I love! CLIENT have already been featured in Vogue and InStyle and they are just launching here in the UK with a Military Chic feel. All of their products are made in London in England and I find them to be really quirky. I love the telephone scarf so a huge thank you to them for sending me that as a present! I have included a couple of photos from their Look Book in this post as well so definitely check them out. (Follow me on Twitter, Bloglovin and Facebook)

Diana Vickers For Very.co.uk

Diana Vickers is the latest celeb to join Holly Willoughby and Fearne Cotton with a range of clothes for Very.co.uk. As I expected, the collection is quirky and girly with an essence of fun! I have included some photos of Diana in the clothes and also a lot of interview questions about her collaboration with the brand. I always find interviews much more fun to read than plain text about a clothing collection. Click this blog post to view the whole feature. This is your first time designing a fashion collection – how did you find the experience? “I really loved it – I loved being so hands on with the designing of my collection. At first I have to admit I was a little stuck and wasn’t sure exactly what angle I wanted to take but as soon as I got into the swing of things I was off. There was no stopping me! I loved perusing the shops and sitting at home with a glass of wine riffling through magazines to get ideas. I found it a really fascinating process and one I’d definitely love to do again.” How would you describe your collection? “I’d say it is fun with a sophisticated twist. There are quirky prints and bold, fun colours. I think the pieces work really well together as a collection but also make a statement individually, for work or play.”
