My Bag Collection

As promised here is my bag collection to celebrate my blogs 2nd birthday which was on 10th March 2012. It took me a while to do these photos because I didn’t realise how many bags I had! I think I might have too many actually! I put them in two different piles, one being non designer bags (which make up most of my collection) and the other is my designer bags. I have also included some close up photos of all of the bags in this post too. Above photo from left to right is: 1st row – River Island, Topshop, River Island, Topshop. 2nd row – Topshop, ASOS, River Island, Topshop, River Island. 3rd row – Peruna, Topshop, Topshop, ASOS, Topshop. 4th row – Urban Outfitters, River Island, ASOS, FCUK, Topshop. 5th row – Mary  Frances, Mary Frances and AVON. I realised after making this post that I seem to love Topshop and River Island bags. They do make up most of my collection because I think they are cute and they are not expensive either! Now on to my designer bags (below), which I have collected 7 over the past couple of years now. The best part is I never paid the retail amount for any of them except my Mulberry Pink Denim Lily and the MbMJ Dandelion Karlie. The Mulberry one I saved for months for! I am going to list these individually and where I got them from. Top left is my Marc Jacobs Bruna. I got this from The Outnet back in 2010 with 70% off the retail price! Top right is my Marc Jacobs…

My New Mulberry Candy Pink Quilted Denim Lily

You might remember that I fell in love with this bag, the Mulberry Candy Pink Quilted Denim Lily, back in September 2011 when I saw it on Eliza Doolittle, which I then made a post about in October (here). This bag literally combines everything I love! Denim, pink, denim, a small bag, pink, denim, cross body bag, pink, denim… You get my drift! Denim is my favourite fabric, as you know since I live in jeans, and making it pink and in my favourite Mulberry bag, the Lily, it’s just perfect! Since I saw it, I started saving because I knew I would really want it. Also it helps since it’s not made of leather, so I knew it would be cheaper than most Mulberry bags I can’t afford and as a plus it doesn’t have the potent leather smell! I am literally in love with this bag and I couldn’t wait to share it with you all! Also, the modelled photos are from an outfit I will be posting soon! What do you think of it? My Obsession With Bags

So I thought that I might start doing a few story posts on my blog. I know when I read magazines that I like to read the stories written in there as I find them really interesting. The first one I wanted to write is about my obsession with bags. I know it’s probably something a lot of you ladies can relate to so hopefully you like it! I would love for you to leave a comment and let me know your feelings towards bags 🙂 I never used to be a bag fan, in fact, I used to really dislike the thought of going out and having to carry something extra. I was always worried about losing it, as I can be quite forgetful sometimes or I just didn’t want the general hassle of carrying something heavy. I get back ache quite easily and I have loose shoulder joints so the thought of having to lug around a heavy bag just really put me off. I never understood what the obsession was at all. People would say to me ‘why don’t you like bags?’ or ‘you will change your mind and love them sooner or later’ and I was completely adamant that I wouldn’t. I just thought, they didn’t know me at all, so how could they possibly say those things? Every one is different. I honestly can’t remember the exact point in my life that my feelings started to change though, I know it was last year or the very beginning of this year and I think it might have something to do with my boyfriend and my…

Eliza Doolittle’s Mulberry Candy Pink Quilted Denim Lily

I am literally obsessed with Mulberry’s newest Candy Pink Quilted Dye Denim Lily bag. I first saw it on Eliza Doolittle at the Mulberry Spring/Summer 2012 fashion show in London last month. I have since been trying to figure out what the fabric and colour was and I now know! I am so happy that it’s denim! You all know I am denim obsessed and having a bag in denim, let alone pink denim, just makes me so excited! The Lily is also the perfect size for me and the fact that it’s not leather, should make it cheaper! I am hoping anyway! This bag is from the SS12 pre-collection, so I am hoping it will be available next month! I’m already saving my money for it! I am in love! Eliza is so lucky to have it early! My New Marc By Marc Jacobs Classic Q Percy In Berry Haze

I’m excited to share with you my new bag! It’s the Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Q Percy in Berry Haze! As you know, berry is my favourite colour this season and I think everything looks amazing in it, it’s become sort of an obsession! I saw this shade in the Karlie on Net-A-Porter but I wasn’t fond of the gold chain with the berry. Then I found the Berry Haze Percy on Shopbop, a lot cheaper too, and I thought it was perfect! I think the Percy is a great little small bag, it holds all your important things, it’s not heavy and it’s really durable. I love it! I wasn’t sure on the top of it at first though, it’s very straight and I thought it looked unfinished but I found once it’s packed out it looks much better. I kind of prefer the colour of it on the Shopbop website as it’s ‘more berry like’ but I am happy with the colour. My photos are pretty much the exact shade of it, it’s more purple than pink. It’s adorable though! I think it will be making quite a few appearances on my blog! (Follow me on Twitter, Bloglovin and Facebook) Last image from of Shopbop.com

My Wishful Thinking Bag Wish List

Proenza Schouler Raspberry Large Suede Satchel. I thought about making a post about the bags that I come across while browsing online. I fall in love with them but I can never afford them unfortunately. My favourite at the moment is the Proenza Schouler one above, purely because of the colour. If it was a smaller bag then it would be perfect! I love the berry/raspberry tone to it. It’s so beautiful! I also love the new quilted Mulberry Alexa’s! I think the quilting adds more of a classiness to them. And of course I love the classics like the Alexander Wang Rocco, the taupe suede Balenciaga, the Oak Mulberry Bayswater, more Marc Jacobs… and then I dream about the brightly coloured bags which would add such a pop to my outfits. Which bags are you wishing for but can’t get? (Follow me on Twitter, Bloglovin and Facebook) Mulberry Deer Brown Quilted Nappa Alexa.

Mulberry Mini Taylor Satchel In Deer Brown

Ever since I got my Mulberry Alexa Clutch in Powder Sparkle Tweed at the Mulberry event, I have been looking for another, more versatile bag from the brand for every day use. My Alexa is really delicate and gets colour transfer super easily and the sparkle has started to rub off (I found out after wearing her with this outfit) so I want to keep her for more special occasions. I tried to be careful wearing the bag with really light clothes but it still didn’t fully stop it. I have been eyeing this Mini Taylor Satchel in Deer Brown colour for a really long time and I think it’s perfect! It’s definitely the next Mulberry bag on my wish list but unfortunately there is no way I can afford the retail price of £525. That’s a huge amount of money for a small bag. I’m hoping it will appear at the Factory Shop so I can get it much cheaper but in the mean time I can never stop staring at its beauty! Eliza Doolittle wore the Cabbage Green one to the Coachella festival a few months ago and Rebecca Hall has the normal sized version in Deer Brown. I just love the colour tones of it and the perfect size! I love that you can carry it in the crook of your arm or hand as well as use the shoulder strap too. Don’t be alarmed by the name like I was either, it’s not made of deer, it’s just the name for the colour! I’m kind of glad sometimes that Mulberry bags cost so much, it stops…

My New Mulberry Alexa Powder Sparkle Tweed Clutch

Here it is! My brand new Mulberry Alexa Sparkle Tweed Clutch in Powder. This is the beautiful bag that was hiding in my shopping bag in yesterdays post about the Mulberry event. Isn’t it pretty? I saved for ages for a Mulberry and I’m so excited to finally have one! The sparkle is amazing and it’s the perfect size as well since I only really like smaller bags. The sale prices at the Mulberry Factory were really good! They had up to 80% off the bags because of the event. I saw some beautiful bags which were originally £1750 but reduced right down to £500. I couldn’t afford any of those though ha ha. So what do you think? I can’t wait to wear it out! If you click this post you can see all of the photos of my new Alexa.
