A Sexy Casual Going Out Outfit

A Casual Going Out Look At The Hotel Since most of my outfits revolve around the daytime looks that I share with you when I go out during the day, I thought it might be nice to showcase some more evening style looks. When it comes to dressing up for the evening though, I don’t tend to go full glam as it’s not really me, so I always have an element of casual in it, which is what this outfit here incorporates. We were at a hotel in Bristol when Adam and I shot these as we were there for a work shoot, but I really like how they turned out. The pieces I was wearing here are a T-Shirt from Pretty Little Thing, combined with one of their Denim Skirts, and then a pair of ALDO Thigh High Boots in Brown. I’m not turning this one into an outfit post either so that you can buy the options as it’s just a very casual look, but I wanted to share the photos as it’s something different for you here on my blog. If you follow me on Instagram you will have already seen a couple of these shots, and amazingly, the torso look is my best photo to date, it’s still going viral right now with the likes and follows, which I’m happy about, so hopefully you all feel the same here and love it too! You can see it on Instagram here and here, for a bit more of an uncensored version if you’re interested, ha ha. When it comes to looks like these though, I’m definitely a…

A Good Way To Channel Anxiety

Those of you who have followed me for a long time will know that I have suffered with anxiety my entire life. From as long as I can remember, anxiety has always been a big part of how I live and how I go about my daily business. There was a point in my life when I was 13-22 or so where I was having panic attacks often, I wasn’t able to leave the house, I couldn’t talk to new people, and I would just be crippled with fear constantly over anything and always anticipating what would go wrong, concentrating solely on the negatives and worries, which is why I’m writing this blog post. I’ve touched on anxiety before in this post and this post, as well as how learning to love yourself is the key to happiness, but a trick that I learned a few months ago that I’ve been putting into practice has helped me dramatically on my journey with anxiety and trying to overcome it. You might have noticed that there’s different types of people in life, the glass half full kind and the glass half empty kind, and you might know what category you fall into there. Some of us are natural worriers and we get anxiety and negative feelings over change and most things, while others are extremely positive, confident and embrace change and life with positive energy and emotions. Now this is what makes a huge difference in your life, it’s all down to how you feel towards situations and how you use your energy within them. It really does change your life. What…

Sunsets And Pashmina’s

I’m doing a little throwback here to Autumn! Do you remember when I shared couple photos of myself and Adam in the Autumn leaves? Well around that time, I also shot these photos in the sunset of Lansdown Crescent here in Bath as the light was creating a stunning orange glow on the buildings. We only took a few pictures as the light was fading fast, but I think they’re so pretty! They really capture an Autumnal evening after a good day. I never got around to sharing them yet as I had so much other content and this was just a spontaneous shoot, so that’s why I’m not really making it into a full outfit blog post and putting the pieces to buy, as all of these are old. For those of you who do want to know, my top is by Topshop, jeans are by PAIGE, scarf is Zara (borrowed from Adam and worn as a pashmina) and the boots are Sam Edelman. Pretty much all of these pieces are in the couple blog post that I shared a link to above, so you can see them there. Otherwise, how many of you bloggers love doing spontaneous shoots as well? Do you ever see a gorgeous location and the perfect lighting and just feel like it would be a waste not to take that opportunity? I’m always feeling that way if my outfit and make-up is good, it’s a waste if I don’t do a shoot, ha ha. Such a funny mentality to have from an outside perspective! Lorna xx. P.S. – I got shortlisted in the Juliette’s…

Currently Craving Wish List: May 2019

What I’m Craving This Month As May is coming to an end, it means it’s time to round up my favourite items again that I’m currently craving this month! I really enjoy doing these blog posts as it means I don’t just have to lust after the pieces alone and I can actually share them with you, which feels so much better! I’ve done the selection in two look books, featuring clothes in the first one, and accessories in the second! Honestly there’s so many pieces that I want right now that I couldn’t fit them all into one!     So in this look book above, you will find 25 items of clothing and I love all of them! I’ve featured two new Allsaints Dalby jackets and this time they are in muted warm suede shades, which I’m obsessing over! I think I need to go and check those out in store on the weekend! There’s three different plaid/checked blazers that I’ve selected from Mango, again, I’ve fallen hard for those! I can just picture how I’d like to dress them up. There’s also another piece which is a bit more unusual for me, and it’s a green satin dress, but it looks lovely! I’ve opted to include some casual pieces like a knitted vest, some striped culotte trousers, a simple tee, and some gorgeous pairs of jeans! There’s a Flamingo pair that I think are just so cute, as well as a light blue. I’ve also gone with a cropped, printed shirt from Allsaints, along with a playsuit from the brand too. I can never get enough of…

The Dog Print Shirt And Velvet Chanel

Yumi Dalmatian Print Shirt With A Chanel Velvet Bag I hope you all had a lovely weekend! Adam and I spent it in Bristol doing a photoshoot session all weekend, and of course watching Eurovision on the TV! Glad to see we didn’t disappoint and came last, as always, ha ha. It was a very busy and hectic weekend for me, I was extremely tired and ended up with a migraine, but it was productive so we did get a lot done, including these photos that we shot on Friday! I had been planning this outfit for quite some time actually, and since it wasn’t raining, or too cold, it was the perfect time to wear it! I was wearing my Yumi Dalmatian Dog Print Shirt that I picked up at Clarks Village shopping outlet last month. Do you remember seeing it in my purchases in my trip to Clarks Village blog post that I did? I couldn’t wait to style it as it was the first piece that I picked up during the day there. As you can see from the photos, it has the cutest doggy print all over it, but as it’s black and white it’s also chic at the same time, which is why I decided to dress it up instead of down. I opted to pair this Yumi shirt with my L’AGENCE Margot skinny jeans in Graphite, tied together with my ASOS Western Belt. Then for the accessories, I added some height with my Christian Louboutin Pigalle 100 in Black, and then breaking the black and white theme, I chose my Chanel Small Boy Bag…

A May Life Update

An Update For May Hey everyone! I’m here with my May update! So I will jump straight into it. I watched Avengers Endgame, but don’t worry, no spoilers! I think it was fantastic and I really enjoyed it, so I recommend it if you’re a Marvel fan, but of course, if you are, you’ve probably seen it! I’ve been watching a few things on Netflix, so I recommend ‘Dead To Me’ as that was great! I’ve also been watching ‘Schooled’ which is hilarious as I am a Goldbergs fan! A song I have currently been obsessed with is Shawn Mendes’ new song called ‘If I Can’t Have You’ and it’s amazing! You can watch it on YouTube by clicking here. I’m a huge Shawn fan as you all know! And of course, if you missed it, I got my first tattoo as well a couple of weeks ago! I also collaborated with Long Tall Sally to do a blog post on the evolution of denim since the 1950’s, which I think some of you might love, so definitely check that out! My room is almost finished too, I just have a few little things left to do and then I can share! I’ve been reorganising other rooms at the same time and really getting into the Spring cleaning mode! While I’m talking about Spring cleaning, I’ve actually changed a lot mentally over the last couple of months, again. Growing is a constant part of life and evolving has been something I’ve worked on a lot. I used to have a huge fear of change, I wasn’t very good at parting…

Cardiff Outfit – Take Two

A Second Outfit In Cardiff, Wales Happy Wednesday everyone! These are my second lot of photos taken in Cardiff, Wales, almost two weeks ago (see my first set here). We were looking around for different places to shoot the photos and there’s a couple that I took outside a church in the city centre, one that we took inside an arcade, but the lighting was too dark, and then on the way to Barry to get my tattoo, we found a beautiful park, so we decided to shoot the photos there instead. This little pathway with the trees either side of it was so beautiful, I liked how it framed everything. I can only imagine how nice Summer outfits would look here, so I might have to keep this location in mind for the future! For my outfit, I wanted something comfortable and casual as I was out all day in Wales, but also because I was getting my tattoo and wanted to be non restricted and without pain from tight clothes or shoes, so this is what I went with. As I’ve said before, this type of look has become somewhat of a uniform for me. I was wearing my new Zara Summer Coat, which would you believe only cost £29.99 as it’s lightweight? I layered it over my Mango Knitted Tank Top and wore my L’AGENCE Margot Graphite Skinny Jeans again, with my Louis Vuitton Belt wrapped around to tie it together. I went with my Fila Disruptor II in Feather Grey, and then threw on my Michael Kors Selma Bag, which I often use for traveling as…

Crystal Necklaces From Aura By Calum

My Crystal Necklaces from Aura by Calum If you have followed me for a while, you will know that I have a love for crystals. I always have, ever since I was little, and anywhere we went on a day trip, if there was a gift shop, I’d go straight to the crystal section. As I’ve gotten older, my love for them has only grown and instead of just going by how pretty they look, I’ve researched more into their properties as well. When I go on holiday to St. Ives, there’s a little crystal shop there and I go in it every day, it’s so comforting! There’s always something new to add to my collection, and last time I picked up real meteorite. Since I also love jewellery, and I used to carry my crystals around with me (the flat ones fit well inside your bra!) I thought about getting some jewellery with my favourite crystals on, and that’s when I came across Aura by Calum online. I originally found the exclusive pieces on ASOS and ordered a few of the Fluorite pendants (see here) because the stones are so unique, I wanted to be able to get one that I really loved and connected with. I ended up keeping two actually, so the two Fluorite gold pendants you see below, those are the ones I purchased. I reached out to Aura by Calum online to find out more about the brand after falling in love with it, which was when I realised it was started by Calum Best. If you’re in the UK, you will know him as…
