McQueen Kind Of Scene

How I Styled My Alexander McQueen Sneakers A comfortable and casual look here, one that I’ve been gravitating towards on the cooler days. You might recognise the above photo from my Alexander McQueen oversized sneakers review that I did a couple of weeks ago, and this was actually from the first time wearing them out. I’m still very much obsessed with them and can’t be without them now! I paired them with my trusty L’AGENCE Margot Skinny Jeans in Graphite again, since I wear these with everything, and wore a white H&M Tank Top, my ASOS Western Belt, and my Saint Laurent Nano Sac de Jour in Grey and their New Wave Sunglasses. I know you can’t exactly class this outfit as extremely stylish or fashionable, and in truth, most of what I wear doesn’t fall into that category, but I do like being able to put pieces together to create outfits, even if they are casual and simple like this. I’ve got so many other outfits planned with these Alexander McQueen sneakers too, I can’t wait to show you all! Anyway, I’m keeping this post short! Let me know what you think of my outfit and I hope you have a lovely weekend ahead! Lorna xx. *This post contains affiliate links to help keep this blog running.

A July Life Update

A July Life Update I know I skipped a monthly update last month, but as I was in Lyme Regis, it made more sense to do a holiday roundup instead, but I have quite a few things to share with you for July, so here it is! First of all, the weather has been absolutely insane, it’s raining and huge electrical storms lighting up the sky every second one minute, and then it’s really hot at record breaking temperatures in the UK of 39C. This is so weird for July for us! I do, however, know when my birthday is coming because I checked the forecast and it’s rain, pouring rain, ha ha. Saturday should be fun! I actually don’t have any plans for my birthday this year, which is unusual, as usually I know what I’m doing, but I guess I’m keeping it low key! Anyway, the photo above was shot at Bath on the Beach, which is an area inside Victoria Park here which they have covered in sand and turned into a Hawaiian themed beach! Isn’t it really cool? You can see the photos for the full outfit though by clicking here. Now moving on, I have some new purchases!! These 2 pieces are from the Allsaints sale because they had 50% off and an extra 20%, so I finally picked up the Keiko bomber jacket in black. I had to size up to a UK 12 in this though as it runs really small! I’m usually an 8 in their leather jackets. You can buy it here. The other piece is a shirt from them too,…

Currently Craving Wish List: July 2019

Can you believe that July is almost over, another month come and gone so quickly! It’s so crazy! I hope all of you are keeping cool as well as it’s reached 38C in London today, which I think is a record breaking temperature for us here in the UK! Anyway, since the month closes, I’ve put together my currently craving wish list and I’ve rounded up 25 pieces for you all! They’re in two sections, the first one is clothing and shoes, and the second one is jewellery, since the summer means we wear more of it! All you have to do is scroll through the look books below, click the items you like, and it takes you to purchase them! Super simple! Happy shopping everyone!     The shoes at the start of this selection are my favourite! Sofia Webster with rainbow butterflies, how amazing are they? If it wasn’t for the super high price tag, I’d purchase them in a heart beat! The Mango floral skirt up next is perfect for casual days. Also love that soft grey sweater and faux leather leggings from Topshop, and the nude suede jacket from Mango too. Then there’s the Loeffler Randall brown suede boots, the Topshop floral shirt, and the leopard bralette which I want! How cute is the Sofia Webster see through perspex bag too, with the pink trimming? I need that! Also in love with the brown playsuit, and I think the nude B-Low The Belt belt would be perfect with it around the waist, or if you wanted to be more edgy, the western style one. There’s a…

The Grey Checked Blazer With Black Boots

The Grey Checked Blazer With Black Boots Last month, or maybe around 5-6 weeks ago, Adam and I were in town doing some shopping and this is the outfit that I wore. It was fairly cool that day, so something like this was fairly appropriate, but thinking about it now as it’s really hot today and around 32C tomorrow, it’s making me sweat, ha ha. But this is why I usually love the milder weather the most because I can layer and put things together, and I get to wear tall boots, which are my favourite! For this look, I was wearing my New Look Checked Blazer (which you have seen here before) and I layered it over my Mango Knitted Tank Top. I then went for my L’AGENCE Margot Skinny Jeans in Graphite, as you know I adore those, and threw on my ASOS Western Belt around the middle. Now for the accessories, I chose my Ted & Muffy/DUO Empress Over The Knee Boots in Black Suede, my Gucci Dionysus Suede Mini Bag in Taupe, and my Swarovski Tinkerbell Necklace. Getting to wear my over the knee boots again is always a dream. I can never get enough of how they really dress up an outfit, as well as give me confidence when I’m walking. But the star of this outfit though is probably the checked blazer, it only cost me around £30, which I think is a great price for a jacket that looks quite classy, despite being from New Look. It’s one of those pieces that dresses up really well, and I like that. It’s always about mixing…

Styling 3 House of Cavani Women’s Tweed Blazers

3 Ways To Style A House of Cavani Blazer Blazers and jackets are a clothing staple that I have loved for years, ever since I got into fashion, and I don’t think that will ever change. Even though my style evolves every single year, my love for blazers remains the same, which is probably why they make up a good portion of my outerwear! With that in mind, I am super excited to be teaming up with House of Cavani to show you how I styled 3 of their brand new women’s tweed blazers! The brand is English based, and is a men’s suit company, but they recently branched out into the ladies department and I’m liking what I see! I even got to model all of the women’s collection on their website for them, which you can check out here. As I know I have a lot of male readers as well, I think this is something for all of you as you guys might want to check out their cool suits! Plus, these jackets are made as women’s versions of their best sellers for men, so if you have a partner, you can twin in your House of Cavani blazers! I am planning to do that with Adam soon when the weather cools down a bit! Anyway, lets get to my styling of these 3 jackets below for you! Cavani Caridi Beige Blazer First up, and my favourite of the 3 blazers, is the Caridi Beige Blazer and I adore it because it’s a beautiful off white, beige shade that matches every single piece of clothing in your…

Linen Shorts & A Leather Jacket

A White Leather Jacket With Linen Shorts Outfit As I’m sitting here writing this blog post, looking out the window and looking at the sun, I really feel that it’s summer now. There’s been some beautiful sunsets lately and I’m enjoying that golden glow that spreads across the fields. When I look back at these photos that we shot in Lyme Regis almost 1 month ago, it’s crazy how quickly the time has gone by and how much I miss the scenery there. The Jurassic Coast is one of the most beautiful places, even when it’s raining, so I could definitely see myself moving down that way when the time is right, to be around a more scenic environment. Isn’t it just beautiful? These photos were shot at around 8pm on one of the evenings when the rain had cleared up, and the blue of it was very intense, which I think contrasts off the orange pebbles beautifully. For my outfit, I wore a pair of Mango Linen Striped Beige Shorts that I bought a couple of months ago in their outlet for a bargain price, and paired them with a Mango Strappy Top too. As you can tell, I’m really loving their clothes at the moment, and the fact that these shorts have a paper bag style to them and a tie waist, which makes them really flattering. I also layered on my Allsaints Dalby Leather Jacket in White over the shoulders, to keep the chill at bay and paired these neutral tones with my Sam Edelman White Loafers. I have this leather jacket in blush pink and I…

The Palm Print Playsuit Outfit

The Palm Print Playsuit Outfit You know the summer is here when I start rocking the playsuits! Ha ha. Like last year when I was living in them, I’m kind of doing the same this year, but I’ve bought a lot of different versions, as I mentioned. One of my new ones is this gorgeous H&M Palm Print Playsuit and it’s so comfortable! Most of my new ones are from H&M and they only cost £12.99 at retail, so you can’t really go wrong! I always find it’s about how you style the high street pieces that makes it look expensive or really put together, which is why I always invest more in my accessories instead! To complete this H&M Playsuit, I wore my new Mulberry Small Darley in Rosewater (the one I picked up in the Factory outlet on the way back from Lyme Regis), I also chose my Rebecca Minkoff Pink Mules, some simple gold jewellery (the bracelet is here and the necklace is here), and a pair of the Saint Laurent Jerry Sunglasses that I’m wearing here. I mixed light pinks and black to complement the playsuit colour palette, and I really like how it turned out. You might have noticed that I went for something a bit different with my hair too, I went for a loose braid! Anyway, I’m keeping this blog post short, but let me know what you think, as always! Alexander McQueen Oversized Trainers Sneakers Review

Alexander McQueen Oversized Trainers Sneakers Review I’m doing a review on the Alexander McQueen Oversized Trainers that have been popular for a while now! It’s a style that has been out for years, but is very much catching on in the trend department at the moment, and with good reason too! They’re a white smooth calf leather, lace-up sneaker, trimmed with metallic heel detailing. You might remember them as they’re the sneakers that had the iridescent back that everyone loved last year! I’ve done a review on everything about these shoes! So read below and check out the photos to see what I think! Let me know in the comments too if you have any questions, plus you can check out all of the places to buy these online at LuisaViaRoma, NET-A-PORTER, My Theresa and Matches, or by them directly at Alexander McQueen! The Design I had been attracted to the look of a sturdy, bright white, designer sneaker for a long time, but I hadn’t come across one that I thought was cool, until I saw these. I love the fact that they combine an old Adidas vibe, with a current, trendy look. There’s a chunkiness to them as they’re oversized in style, which makes these Alexander McQueen trainers just amazing to look at. As you can see, they’re incredibly eye catching and what drew me to them in the first place was the different coloured backs that you can get. It’s such a unique feature and one that I think makes them stand out from all the rest! The rounded toe and thick laces remind me of the…
