Currently Craving Wish List: August 2019

It’s time for the currently craving wish list of this month! Honestly it feels like I’m writing these every couple of weeks with how fast the month is going by! I’ve got quite a lot of things that I want to share in this one, and lots of pieces on my Autumn must have’s! One of which is the beautiful Mackage leather jacket in that purple shade – isn’t it incredible? And the Dodo Bar Or velvet dress that I just fell in love with, but it’s a little bit expensive for a statement piece for me, but maybe when it goes in the sale! Anyway, getting to the look book below that features all of the pieces, my most important must have is the Reiss pale pink coat which I have been obsessed with! I need to order that soon! I also love the teddy fuzzy coat as well, as I think that is genuinely stunning too. I tried it on in the store and thought it would be perfect with heeled boots! There’s a couple of metallic silk shirts too, which would be ideal to lead into Autumn with, paired with jeans, but I love the tie front Allsaints black one as well. There’s a pair of AG Jeans that I think will become classics, and I know AG to be very flattering and comfy. A Topshop black printed shirt and a ditsy floral one too, which is perfect for nights out. A REISS brown leather jacket in the sale is perfect too, one thing I always am attracted to in the coming months! Plus it was in…

Roses And Sunsets

A H&M Rose Print Shirt At Sunset I still have some photos from Lyme Regis that I haven’t yet shared with you! After this, there’s just one more set, and I was going to save my favourite until last (which is this look) but I decided to post it now instead, because I love it so much. As you know from what I spoke about in my actual Lyme Regis blog post, it was raining constantly, so we got lucky here as it had stopped the evening before we were due to come home. We ventured down towards the beach to shoot some photos, at around 8pm, and then as we walked around the side, we were greeted with the most stunning pastel hues! It doesn’t show up as well in some of these photos, but there were pinks, oranges, yellows and even greens as it went down to meet the blue shades of the water. I just knew that this was where I wanted to take my photos to share with you all. I was a bit nervous going so close to the waters edge though, as I do suffer sea sickness and vertigo, and with the waves coming towards me, it was making me a little dizzy, so I just tried not to look down and stuck with it, and I’m glad I did as they turned out beautiful. For my outfit, I was wearing a pretty H&M Rose Print Blouse that I bought a few months ago. It’s actually gorgeous and is full length, with more of a bowling shirt style, but I tied it up as…

A Floral Dress With Kicks

A Floral Dress With Alexander McQueen Trainers If you’re thinking that this dress looks familiar, it might be because you saw it when I went to Clarks Village a couple of months ago! Despite buying it on a whim in Urban Outfitters when I was in Cardiff, Wales, it’s actually become one of my favourite dresses as it’s so lightweight, colourful, and soft. Instead of dressing it up this time with a belt bag and heeled boots, I dressed it down and opted for my Alexander McQueen Oversized Sneakers (which you can tell I am obsessed with right now) and my Saint Laurent Nano Sac de Jour Bag and their New Wave Sunglasses. If you have been following me on Instagram (@LornaRaindrops) then you might have noticed how much I adore these shoes as I won’t stop wearing them! I’m mostly loving trainers/sneakers in general with dresses and skirts at the moment as it’s such an easy combination. I love how it mixes a more fashionable and dressed up look with some more casual and cooler elements, which harmonises well. It doesn’t work with everything though as there have been some dresses I tried and it didn’t work out, but in general, it’s a look that I’m very fond of. Anyway, I hope you’re all well and have some great weekend plans! Let me know what you think of the outfit as always! Lorna xx. *This post contains affiliate links to help keep this blog running.

The Topshop Burgundy Leather Skirt Outfit

A Burgundy Leather Skirt With Golden Goose I hope you all had a nice weekend! We shot these photos on Saturday and it was one of the worst days for weather, ha ha. One moment it was raining, then sunny, then windy, then rainy… It was on and off like that all day, but I wasn’t going to let it stop me from wearing this outfit that I had planned. I was wearing a Goonies t-shirt that I chose from Truffle Shuffle again (the same place that I got my Guns N’ Roses tee from) but I decided to pair it with this Topshop Burgundy Faux Leather Skirt. Remember I showed this to you in my July update post, well I thought it would be a very good skirt to dress down with my Golden Goose Superstar Sneakers as well, to keep everything really casual. I often find that leather skirts can come with a stigma, or be seen as a little trashy sometimes, but I purely think it depends on the styling and how you wear them. I love a combination like this as it makes it suitable for the daytime, and that’s what I went with. For the accessories, I went with my Saint Laurent New Wave Sunglasses, and some simple jewellery pieces on my wrist to tie it together. Despite these sunglasses being quite unique and statement, I actually find myself reaching for them all the time as they really make an outfit pop. I know I’m not wearing them here, and they’re hooked onto my t-shirt, but even that adds a different element to an outfit.…

Guns N’ Roses

Styling A Guns N’ Roses Band Tee I’m going back to my roots a bit with this outfit, as I used to wear a lot of band tees and black when I was younger. I love looks like these though as I tend to feel really comfortable in them. I chose this t-shirt from Truffle Shuffle, which is a Bristol based shop, and I love it! It’s a faded Guns N’ Roses t-shirt by Amplified. It does run small though, I took a size medium in it and it’s quite fitted, so size up if you want a decent fit! I usually wear an S in t-shirts, if that helps. To complete my look, I went with my trusty L’AGENCE Margot Jeans in Graphite (I know, do I not wear anything else these days?!) and my Alexander McQueen Oversized Sneakers, finished off with my new B-Low The Belt Richie Belt (buy it here), my old Diesel watch, and a new Topman Necklace that Adam bought me for my birthday. This belt is a present that I bought myself as I was looking for a new black and silver piece, but one that didn’t make too much of a statement and it’s absolutely perfect! I’m still loving these shoes too (buy them here) as I wore them all day and they’re so comfy! We shot these photos in Great Pulteney Street here in Bath last week as we were staying in a hotel there for a photoshoot day with House of Cavani, so unlike when my photos are taken in the bright daylight, these were shot in the evening around 8:30pm…

3 Night Time Looks With Femme Luxe

Styling 3 Night Time Looks With Femme Luxe I’m quite excited for this collaboration! I’ve partnered with Femme Luxe to bring you 3 different night time looks! I selected 4 different pieces from the brand, to style up and go with 3 different vibes. I’ve got two pictures for each ensemble, and I quite like how each one has come out so different to the rest. Anyway, I wont keep you with an introduction, you can check them out below! For the first outfit above, I styled the Femme Luxe Reagan Black Chain Print Tie Shirt with my L’AGENCE Margot Skinny Jeans and my Gucci GG Black Belt. This type of outfit would work really well with a pair of black ankle boots or stilettos, whichever is your preference, but I think it’s one of those looks that has a bold edge to it, and with the darker colour palette, it would be perfect for the Autumn too. You could easily wear something like this out with the girls, or to a gig or something like that. It can be taken as a bit more of a casual look as much as it can be a dressed up one! The shirt itself is actually really affordable too, it’s in the sale currently for only £9.99! I took a size UK 10 and it fits quite true to size, just a little tight in the arms. I do think the print is really cool though! The second outfit is a little bit more sexy and bold, but perfect for those nights out at a club. I paired together the Femme Luxe…

McQueen Kind Of Scene

How I Styled My Alexander McQueen Sneakers A comfortable and casual look here, one that I’ve been gravitating towards on the cooler days. You might recognise the above photo from my Alexander McQueen oversized sneakers review that I did a couple of weeks ago, and this was actually from the first time wearing them out. I’m still very much obsessed with them and can’t be without them now! I paired them with my trusty L’AGENCE Margot Skinny Jeans in Graphite again, since I wear these with everything, and wore a white H&M Tank Top, my ASOS Western Belt, and my Saint Laurent Nano Sac de Jour in Grey and their New Wave Sunglasses. I know you can’t exactly class this outfit as extremely stylish or fashionable, and in truth, most of what I wear doesn’t fall into that category, but I do like being able to put pieces together to create outfits, even if they are casual and simple like this. I’ve got so many other outfits planned with these Alexander McQueen sneakers too, I can’t wait to show you all! Anyway, I’m keeping this post short! Let me know what you think of my outfit and I hope you have a lovely weekend ahead! Lorna xx. *This post contains affiliate links to help keep this blog running.

A July Life Update

A July Life Update I know I skipped a monthly update last month, but as I was in Lyme Regis, it made more sense to do a holiday roundup instead, but I have quite a few things to share with you for July, so here it is! First of all, the weather has been absolutely insane, it’s raining and huge electrical storms lighting up the sky every second one minute, and then it’s really hot at record breaking temperatures in the UK of 39C. This is so weird for July for us! I do, however, know when my birthday is coming because I checked the forecast and it’s rain, pouring rain, ha ha. Saturday should be fun! I actually don’t have any plans for my birthday this year, which is unusual, as usually I know what I’m doing, but I guess I’m keeping it low key! Anyway, the photo above was shot at Bath on the Beach, which is an area inside Victoria Park here which they have covered in sand and turned into a Hawaiian themed beach! Isn’t it really cool? You can see the photos for the full outfit though by clicking here. Now moving on, I have some new purchases!! These 2 pieces are from the Allsaints sale because they had 50% off and an extra 20%, so I finally picked up the Keiko bomber jacket in black. I had to size up to a UK 12 in this though as it runs really small! I’m usually an 8 in their leather jackets. You can buy it here. The other piece is a shirt from them too,…
