LOOKBOOK.nu Inspirations II

I did a post on LOOKBOOK.nu Inspirations before and this is the second post to follow. I love looking at the website because you get to see so many different styles from people all around the world and you really do get inspiration for your clothes. I often take most of my inspiration from people I see in the streets, celebs or other fashion blogs. I like to mix things up. If I see a scarf on a fellow fashion blogger, a pair of boots on a person in the street and some jeans on a celebrity, I will match them together and find things that will work with it or just go from my own mind. One thing I do love the most though, is looking at other peoples outfits. Some people really know how to dress! These are all of my favourite outfits I have found over the past few weeks, they are amazing! Click this blog post to view lots more images from LOOKBOOK.nu. Fashion Week: Miu Miu Spring 2011

A brand that I am very fond of, Miu Miu, showed their newest Spring/Summer 2011 creations from the designer Muiccia Prada during Paris Fashion Week on the 6th October 2010 in Paris, France. The collection was just what you would expect from Miu Miu, their monogram prints of birds and other animals graced the clothes that the models wore down the runway. A lot of tailoring was used in these garments and it did surprise me for a Spring/Summer collection as the jackets and trousers look more like a Fall/Winter collection. There were plenty of dresses which were covered in sequins and other aesthetics though. Pale pinks and other pastel colours were among the colour pallet for this runway show too. The shoes were also gorgeous! I love the classic platforms that Miu Miu always brings out in every seasons collections. The only thing I never like about Miu Miu is the price tag! Haha. This post has a lot of photos in it and a runway video from the Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2011 fashion show so please click this blog post to view the images and video. Fall Finds: Tops & Trousers

Topshop Drape Pocket Hareem Trousers. Here is the next installment of my Fall Finds posts. I know I haven’t done one for a while as I have been really busy with Fashion Week posts but Fashion Week ends today so I will have more time for my other posts. This post is all about trousers and tops for that little nip of coldness the Autumn months give you. I’m in love with sequins and silky fabrics as I think they make any outfit look dressed up and chic, the All Saints sequin vest has been on my wish list for ages but the price tag is just too high. I also love the oversized cardigans that look gorgeous with jeans and boots! Trousers this season are all about the relaxed and drop crotch fits, a lot like the old harem pants but not quite as bad. I really like the look of the ones above and the side zippers below, I definitely will be trying this trend as soon as I can! Another trend for bottoms this season is faux leather/suede and wax coated jeans, this is one trend that I have fallen head over heels for! Which are your favourites? Shopping For Shearling

Shearling or sheepskin has been popping up all over clothes for the past month or so and it’s becoming really popular! I’m seeing more and more of it when I go out and I’ve started to like it. To be honest, when I first saw the new Topshop Look Book and it had a lot of shearling on the coats and jackets, I wasn’t too sure if it would take off. I’m really glad it has though, I’m loving so many of the boots and jackets! But for those of you, like myself, who wont do the real sheepskin, then there are plenty of faux sheepskin options and Topshop has lots of them! I know it’s going to keep me toasty in the Winter months as I get really cold so easily! All of these items in this post are available to buy at Topshop. You know it’s my favourite store, haha! Looks I Love From The Planet Blue Look Books

I recently fell in love with a lot of Planet Blue clothes after seeing Vanessa Hudgens in a gorgeous floral dress from the brand! A New Love For DUO Boots

As you know, I have recently fallen in love with DUO Boots. I bought their Linden over the knee boots which you saw here and I can’t stop staring at them! The main thing that amazes me about DUO Boots is they come in 21 different calf sizes and their shoes come in 3 widths! It’s absoultely perfect for those of us who have a different foot to calf ratio to most. Like myself, I have size UK 7 feet but I only have a 33cm calf width which is really small. Normally every boot I try that comes in a standard size is always too big and it looks really silly on me. I was so excited to find boots that actually fitted my calves! 😀 DUO Boots start from size 30cm and go up to 50cm so it’s perfect for the ladies with small calves or big calves as well as regular size calves! They have some amazing styles too, I’m loving the Laurel boots and the Linden the most, they are my favourites! I can’t wait to be able to wear them all through winter and keep my legs nice and warm for once! I’ve piled together a few of my favourite boots and shoes in this post. The shoes come in the narrow, regular and wide widths as well so there is literally a shoe or boot for everyone! Not to mention they go up to size UK 9! I’m really loving this brand! I just had to share it with you! All of the boots and shoes you see here are available to buy at…

Blazers & Over The Knee Boots

So these are the boots I have been very excited to share with you! I bought them last week and I was so excited because I finally found boots that fit me! They come in a range of different calf sizes and I have very small calves (only 33cm) but quite big feet (UK size 6/7) so you can imagine my happiness when I found a pair that actually fit me! Boots have always just been too big in the calves for me. I’m going to be doing a proper post on the DUO Boots brand later this week because I think a lot of you will find the brand great! I’m wearing a new Topshop boyfriend blazer, an old vintage Topshop silk top I found in my closet from years ago, my Citizens of Humanity jeggings which I also found in my closet, my new DUO over the knee boots, my vintage Topshop metallic pink clutch, Miss Selfridge rings, a Topshop silver Bambi and flowers necklace and my Adele Marie swarovski bangle. I can definitely tell that it’s Fall/Autumn now as it’s been really cold and it’s getting darker a lot earlier. It kind of excites me! I need to do some coat shopping as I don’t have a new one that I can wear. I’m on the lookout for a pretty cream coloured one with lots of buttons. (Follow me on Twitter, Bloglovin and Facebook)

Fashion Week: Alexander Wang Spring 2011

I thought I would try to include as many videos as I could as well for my New York Fashion Week posts. Starting off with a video is Alexander Wang’s Spring 2011 show which was held on the 11th September 2010. He is one of my favourite bag designers! I’m in love with the Rocco duffel bag! I’m loving so many of his styles! Again, because of the trends this season being crisp and clean with neutrals being a big statement, his collection is full of beautiful whites, long dresses, trousers and jackets. Pretty much the whole collection is in white, beige and cream. H’s also used very strong tailoring so the cuts are very clean and formal looking but on the contrary, a lot of floaty fabrics and chic style outfits were also present. I did spy a lot of silver metallics being used as aesthetics to the clothes as well and I also spotted a splash of colour here and there, involving pastel shades of mint green and pale orange. Loving the collection! It gives me a sense of a very futuristic feel to it. What do you fashion blog owners think? (Follow me on Twitter, Bloglovin and Facebook)
