Orange & Beige Tones

This weather is crazy isn’t it? We had to cancel our holiday to St. Ives this week as we were meant to leave yesterday, however the rain is set for over a week to be torrential and cause problems. We thought it was better to postpone it until October, which I hope will be fine! It’s currently dry right now, but the rain is on and off and after tomorrow it’s going to be intense I think as they issued an amber flood warning. Hopefully everyone will be fine! Getting to this look though, I’m not doing it as an official outfit post with options to buy as it was shot a few months ago in Bristol, and I hadn’t got around to sharing it with you yet, so these pieces are pretty much out of stock. The top and shorts were by Pretty Little Thing, the shoes were Kurt Geiger from years ago, and my bag is my Valentino Lock Bag in Ivory. It was just something I’d put together as a summery going out look, and I thought I better eventually share it with you now as today marks the very first day of Autumn (officially), so it made sense! Anyway, my next blog post coming up is an update, and I have a LOT of things to share with you, now that I’m finally back on track with everything in my life and blogging again, I’ve managed to find that balance back and get my inspiration again. It could be to do with the fact that it’s Autumn now and that’s my favourite season that gives me…

Currently Craving Wish List: September 2019

It’s time for another one of my Currently Craving Wish Lists! Honestly, the fact that we’re past mid September now is kind of crazy! In a few days it’s the start of Autumn, which really excites me because I love the season so much (as you know), and with that comes a lot of gorgeous new clothes and accessories that I covet as I start needing to layer. So, first up is the Topshop Western style boots with the chain, which I absolutely adore. I just purchased these last week and fell completely in love with them! I recommend them! There’s a water colour blouse as well, that I picked out from Mango, as well as a few floral dresses from them, and another pair of boots, a knitted dress, and a furry coat, so you really can’t go wrong with their pieces. I’ve also included a few new pairs of jeans in this round up, and there’s a pair by a newer brand called CQY, which I think are pretty. I’m also extremely big into trousers at the moment and just purchased a new pair from Allsaints (these ones), but there’s a few from Mango and Reiss on my wish list as well, as you can see, as I always need new colours! Then there’s that gorgeous Riess black leather jacket that I want, very badly! And a pair of burgundy corduroy cropped flares by AG, which are going to be ideal for this Autumn season. Also, have you seen how amazing the Jimmy Choo Cruz flat boots are with the crystals? They’re literally so cool! Adam hates them,…

In Chloe On A Lock

We shot these photos a few weeks ago when we were still having a heat wave, it was around 28C this day, and it was actually really nice to do some proper summertime photos, utilising the scenery a bit more as well. If you’re wondering what I’m sat on here, it’s a Lock on the River Avon. I’ve always been fascinated by those and how they work, I think it’s such a smart, simple and cool idea, ha ha. Anyway, for my outfit, I was wearing my The East Order Black Floral Dress again (you saw it here), but this time I dressed it up a bit more with a Western edge, choosing my Chloe Susanna Boots in Beige Suede and my Chloe Small Drew Bag in Motty Grey to finish it off. Despite not having worn these boots in my outfits on my blog very much, I absolutely adore them, and the velvet version, so you will be seeing them a lot more I think, providing the weather is ok and not raining. Can you even imagine the damage in the rain? Especially to my beautiful velvet pair! Anyway, I would love to know what you think of this look on me, your comments are always welcome! How To Dress Up Snake Print Boots

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you’re all well! Can’t believe the weekend is here already so soon. I’m off on holiday in about 2 weeks and I can’t wait! It’s gonna be a busy time for me over the next couple of weeks actually, but I will keep you all updated on Instagram like I usually do in my stories! Anyway, getting to these photos, we shot them in the Royal Crescent here in Bath, and it had just started to rain, as usual, so you might be spotting a couple of spots of rain in the air, ha ha. I was wearing something a little smarter and classier for this outfit, but still suitable for daytime wear. I paired my brown L’AGENCE Margot Skinny Jeans (yep, they aren’t black!) with a Mango Satin Shirt in Cream, with my Louis Vuitton Reversible Monogram Belt around the middle. I do class the bralette underneath as part of the outfit as well and that’s also from Mango (it’s this one) and I love it. For my shoes, I went with my DUO Snake Print Boots that I got a couple of years ago, and finished it off with my Mulberry Small Darley Bag in Oak. I really love shirts, jeans and boots outfits, or paired with blazers too when it’s a little cooler, and I’m sure that most of you long time readers will know that that has been a signature look of mine for many, many years, so I’m hoping to incorporate it a bit more in my Autumnal style outfits coming up over the next couple of months! Anyway, I…

Blue Jeans And Goonies

Something casual and something comfortable, going back to the basics of blue skinny jeans and a grey t-shirt with trainers, something I feel the most at ease in. I was wearing my L’AGENCE Margot Skinny Jeans, but this time in the Cascade wash, the same pair that you saw here, and I styled them with my Goonies t-shirt, my Golden Goose Superstar Sneakers and my Saint Laurent New Wave Sunglasses. I’m going to be keeping this text super short as this was a spur of the moment outfit choice as well as location, as I’d taken a pair of jeans with me to keep warm if I was too cold in my skirt, but I ended up liking it, so photos were taken! Anyway, I hope you had a lovely weekend! Lorna xx. *This post contains affiliate links to help keep this blog running.

3 New Femme Luxe Outfits

3 New Outfits From Femme Luxe You may remember last month that I shot a collaboration with Femme Luxe, featuring 3 different going out and nighttime looks, well I’m back again with a second set and I’m styling 3 different pieces again! One is a dress that’s perfect for the summer evenings, while the other 2 are lounge wear and perfect for running some simple errands or wearing around the home. I know you really liked the photos from the last collaboration, so this time I have included quite a few more, in all different angles. I really love doing shoots inside pretty hotel rooms as well, there’s always a different vibe about them! Scroll down to find out more about these pieces from Femme Luxe below! This gorgeous dress is the Madonna Black Polka Dot Mini Mesh Dress and it’s so unique and cool! That’s not my underwear that you can see there, it’s actually the bodysuit section of the dress and the polka dot mesh skirt hangs over the top. I took a size UK10 in it and it fits perfectly, so I seem to be a pretty consistent size in this brand. It’s stretchy all over too, so it’s actually really comfortable to wear. You could easily dress this down with flats though for more of a skater vibe, but I dressed it up with my Christian Louboutin Pigalle and my Lulu Guinness Lips Clutch, just to add a pop of colour to the statement black. I genuinely love this dress though, I think it’s fantastic! I will say that you do need some confidence to wear it,…

The Anxiety Train & Confidence Building

It’s been a little while since I wrote a proper blog post on how I am feeling, what I’m up to, and how things are going in general, so I thought I would do that now. You might have noticed that my blog schedule has been a bit erratic for the last month or so, and usually I keep to a really tight posting regime, but things have just been a bit all over the place, especially with family and personal life, but that I wont share on the blog as it’s not directly related to myself. If you have followed me for a long time, you will know that I have spoken openly a lot about anxiety and how it’s been a big part of my life since I can remember. It used to be so crippling that I couldn’t even leave the house at points without having panic attacks and I couldn’t even speak to strangers, be in crowds, anything like that… it was a very dark place. I’ve worked hard on tackling that anxiety though to try and live a more ‘normal’ lifestyle over the years, and push myself outside of my comfort zone to try and achieve things I didn’t think I could. The past two months or so I have really been pushing myself out of my boundaries and trying to grow even more, gaining confidence. One thing I was able to do, which I never thought I would do, is travel alone. One of my best friends (who I have known online for 3 years) was getting married and this was my opportunity to…

The Teddy Bomber Jacket With A Dress

Allsaints Suede Bomber Jacket Over A Floral Dress Outfit First of all, I hope you’re having a lovely week. I’m on a very important photoshoot today, which I will be sharing with you soon, but it’s probably one of my most exciting ones to date! I’m doing ok, I have been a little unwell lately, and I have also been doing quite a few different things, but I’m good. Getting to this post though, can you believe that these photos were actually shot in Bath? I know we have these rules about only being allowed to have Bath Stone (which is that yellow shade you always see in my pictures), but we found this old red brick area down by the river a couple of weekends ago and it made the ideal backdrop for this outfit. I absolutely love how this turned out! So, I was wearing my Allsaints Keiko Bomber Jacket in Black which I layered over my The East Order Black Floral Dress, finished off with my Golden Goose Superstar Sneakers. I absolutely adore this jacket and I’m so glad that I picked it up in the sale a few weeks ago because it’s amazing! I sized up to a UK 12 in it as it runs small and I wanted more of a looser fit, and it does a really good job of filling my need for the ever amazing Saint Laurent Teddy Jacket that I was obsessed with for ages, but with the £1400 price tag, couldn’t afford, so this is the next best thing! Now getting to the dress, I hadn’t heard of The East…
