Currently Craving Wish List: October 2019

My Currently Craving Wish List for October is here! I’ve selected 20 different pieces for this round up, all in the fashion and accessories realm, and I can guarantee you can’t go wrong with any of these pieces here! First up is that gorgeous sherpa jacket that reminds me of a denim trucker jacket fit, which you can see in the scroller below. I can imagine this looking so chic with many different outfits! It’s only from Mango so it’s affordable too. Next are the Jimmy Choo Cruz boots (in black and in white) that I have wanted for so long, especially in the anthracite shade! I’m obsessed! Then there’s a new Burberry scarf in Mid Camel that I just recently picked up in London. It’s Scottish cashmere, and one of the most classic scarves! Next is a simple beige sweater, then a brown checked blazer, and a beautiful cream mac in the sale from Allsaints. I have a blush pink version of this mac and have been wearing it a lot! I also picked up the Allsaints Elva leather jacket that shows up next, it’s just beautiful! It’s a cross between the Balfern and Dalby (I will probably review it soon) and I love it so, so much! I recommend it! Getting to the jeans, there’s a pair of gorgeous Ksubi mom style jeans in a distressed blue that are cool, a pair of L’AGENCE dark green skinny jeans and slate grey jeans, and some Lovers + Friends Ricky skinny jeans in blue. Next up is a stunning Burberry scarf in claret check that I think would be very…

The Scarlet Teddy Coat With Boots

The Reiss Scarlet Teddy Coat With Boots I get excited to write a blog post when I have a story to tell you about the item I’m wearing. That’s the case with this coat here! This is the Reiss Scarlet Teddy Coat in Grey and I originally fell in love with it in the store, on a whim after I had gone in to look for a pink coat I’d seen online. I saw this one hanging on the rail and thought it looked really pretty. They had a UK 4, which is two sizes smaller than my regular size UK 8, but as it was oversized, I tried it anyway, and absolutely loved how it looked! I wore it over a dress back in August in the changing room and was obsessed! It was a bit expensive so I left the store, but had thought about it all the time. I went back in a couple of weeks later and tried a UK 6 as the 4 was gone, but the 6 was just too big as I didn’t want it massive. As luck would have it, a couple of weekends ago they had a 10% off weekend and I had already got a £40 voucher from last year, so I ordered this Reiss Scarlet coat online and was really happy with the discount. I love it when something works out like that and I get a really good deal! So this is the outfit that I wore my new coat with, I’d planned to layer it over my Topman Sweater, paired with my new L’AGENCE Margot Jeans in…

The Red Floral Co-Ord

Adam and I shot these photos back in June I think it was, but I hadn’t got around to sharing them yet as I wasn’t sure if I wanted to post them. My style has changed a fair bit since this and I probably wouldn’t wear this kind of look now, but I thought I would post it anyway as I already had the photos. The co-ord itself is from Pretty Little Thing, my wooden clogs are from Carvella and my bag is my Valentino Lock bag in Ivory, but I do believe that pretty much all of these pieces are sold out. Again, we had re-booked our holiday to St. Ives for this week and we were supposed to leave yesterday, but we cancelled it again due to the weather as it’s still constantly raining. We’re heading to London this week for a few days instead, for a city break, rather than a beach holiday. I will be sticking to my normal posting schedule though, so I’m not taking a week off like I had planned! Anyway, I’m keeping this one short, but let me know what you think and I hope you had a nice weekend! Lorna xx.

Snakes And Cowboys

Snake Print Boots With A Western Vibe On this particular day that we shot these photos, you can’t really tell from the pictures, but it was really bad weather! It was on and off raining, the wind was constantly blowing so I was permanently holding onto my hat, and the light was bad. It’s frustrating on days like this when you have a shoot planned, but we persevered with it and found some shelter by the Bath Spa to take photos. I thought these pillars were actually a really beautiful backdrop for this look though, so that turned out lucky! I did have a cardigan with me for the chill as we walked around town (you can see a slow motion walk of this outfit here, under the slow mo highlight) but I liked the outfit better without it for the photos! Speaking of my outfit, I was wearing a knitted tie front dress by Topshop in Black, which is actually really affordable as it was only £25 (I also own it in cream) and I paired it with my Topshop Snake Boots too! These are a faux snake printed leather, and actually incredibly comfortable. I’m really into the Western cowboy boot look at the moment, literally in love with it. These boots are currently on sale too with 20% off, so take advantage of that! I finished this look off with my Brixton Hat, to add to the Western vibe a bit more. I went without a bag for the outfit as the one I ordered (this one) hadn’t arrived yet, but I’m planning on wearing these boots again…

Western Rock Inspired

A Western Rock Inspired Outfit Happy Monday! First of all, I wanted to say thank you to you for the love and support on my last collaboration with Lily Arkwright as I was really proud of that one, and to know you guys loved it too, that means a lot! This weekend has been quite interesting with some shoots that Adam and I got done, for both of us, which I am excited to share with you soon! I just can’t wait for the leaves to turn orange and the parks to be in full glow, it’s going to be the perfect backdrop for photos! Speaking of that, we headed to Bristol to shoot these photos a couple of weeks ago when it was a bit warmer than it currently is now. We took them down by the River Avon which is just outside the Temple Meads train station as they had some beautiful red brick and scenery. It’s a totally different atmosphere to doing photos here in Bath as the location is such a contrast to the yellow Bath stone. We definitely plan to do more shoots in Bristol going forward actually! Anyway, for my outfit here, I was wearing a Cupcakes & Cashmere floral printed cami top, which I love as it’s such a dark design – perfect for Autumn, and I paired it with my L’AGENCE Margot Skinny Jeans in Graphite again. I know, I pretty much do live in these jeans, but I did just get a new pair in grey! I wrapped my B-Low The Belt belt around the middle to give it a little…

Lily Arkwright – A Beautiful Moissanite Ring

I am really excited to be sharing this blog post with you all. I’ve collaborated with British luxury online jewellery retailer, Lily Arkwright, who specialise in engagement rings and lab grown diamonds, to showcase one of their stunning diamond engagement rings. As you know, I only collaborate with brands that I feel represent myself and my blog perfectly, which is why I don’t have many ads as I like everything to be authentic, and this I believe is a perfect match. Even though I am already engaged, I’m happy to show you how beautiful their rings are as I absolutely adore jewellery. I personally chose this Lily Arkwright Macy Oval Charles & Colvard Moissanite Petite Pavé 18k White Gold Shoulder Set Ring, which is set with a 0.90ct lab grown moissanite centre stone, and it’s incredible! The 18k white gold band itself is set with diamonds, so it truly is a magnificent ring to look at, especially in the sunshine, it just glistens and shines in that perfect, magical way. I couldn’t stop staring at it and looking at how feminine and elegant my hand looked with it on. When I opened the ribbon and took the lid off of the box, it just took my breath away. It’s one of those rings that looks stunning with any nail colour, any skin tone, and pretty much any outfit, as I’ve showed you in these photos a more classy ensemble, and a more evening appropriate, bold look. It works perfectly with both of them. This beauty is a solitaire ring that features a Charles & Colvard, Forever One oval cut moissanite…

A Leopard At The Beach

This post rounds out the last of my Lyme Regis holiday photos! I didn’t realise that I had taken so many while we were there, despite the weather, but these pictures were shot on the last day, just before we came home. As you know, the sun had finally come out that day and caused us pretty bad sun burn, but it made a beautiful backdrop for the sea behind. I will say that some areas of Lyme Regis are truly stunning, you can’t beat it for nature at one of its best there! For my outfit, I had on my H&M Leopard Playsuit (can you believe it only costs £10 in the sale now?!) and I wore it with my ASOS Jelly Sandals (so that I could go in the sea), my Loeffler Randall Basket Bag, and my Ray-Ban Youngster Sunglasses, finished off with some jewellery like my Mango Shell Necklace. I am a huge fan of playsuits in the summer as you know, as they’re so easy to wear and are very comfortable. Anyway, I hope you like this outfit and the scenery! Let me know! A September Life Update – Hello Autumn

Hey everyone! I’m back with an update as I didn’t do one last month, so this one is a bit bigger! I can’t believe that it’s Autumn now, officially, it’s scary just how fast this year is actually going. October is right around the corner and then it will soon be Christmas again and a brand new year. It’s crazy! I’m sure the time speeds up as we get older, ha ha. Anyway, September has been quite a busy month for me already, so I’m here to share some new things with you! The music I have currently been listening to is country again, I adore my country music, and two of my favourite songs on my Spotify are ‘Straight Outta Cold Beer – Blake Shelton’ and ‘Dirt On My Boots – Jon Pardi’ so I recommend those! They have some great grit to them. In regards to movies, I’ve watched a few, Bohemian Rhapsody I finally saw, it was good, and I’ve watched a few Netflix Originals, but nothing there worth pointing out, however the series, definitely. I finished all seasons of Working Moms and I absolutely recommend that! It’s brilliant! P.S. – I want to point out that Shopbop also have a sale right now! Use the code STOCKUP19 for 20% off orders under $500 and 25% off orders over $500. Includes full price and sale items! It’s valid until Saturday 28th, so you don’t have long left to shop! Now, something else huge… I got 2 new tattoos! As you can see in the above 2 photos, I have 2 brand new artwork pieces and I am…
