This contest is now closed and the winner is Lorna Garratt @dipsymummy! Congratulations! Sphere of Life have teamed up with me again to giveaway one of their brand new styles! The mosaic bracelet! The new design has only recently just become available and is already incredibly popular! The Mosaic collection is a silver plated collectible bracelet made of colourful square “icons”. The idea for this collection came when the brand got their shiny new smart-phones. They just loved the colourful icons on the screen, telling them a whole story using just a tiny picture. The Mosaic icons also tell a story using a lovely variety of images and designs. To make it even more special, each item is engraved with its story – even the Initials Icons – so you will always remember the meaning behind your Mosaic collection. There are over 100 icon designs (which you can see here) and all of them are individual and unique. You can see my bracelet in the photos here in which I chose a heart, love birds, a palm tree, paw prints and a beautiful blue crystal. These represent me as I love romance, animals and nature. It’s also one of the most comfiest bracelets I have worn. The winner of this giveaway will get to choose 3 icons, 2 stoppers and a bracelet! That’s a gift worth quite a lot of money! All you have to do to enter this giveaway is follow Sphere of Life and Raindrops of Sapphire on Twitter (click names to follow) and then tweet the following entry: CONTEST – RT & Follow @Mysphereoflife & @LornaRaindrops to…
(Pants – Similar, Shirt – Exact, Bag – Exact, Watch – Exact, Boots – Similar, Bracelets – Similar) So this is the outfit I wore to my birthday meal on Friday. I ate out with my mum, dad, brother and my boyfriend at Giraffe which is one of my favourite restaurants. I bought this shirt a couple of weeks ago specifically for my birthday outfit and I’ve worn it twice already because I love it so much! The bag I am wearing here is what was inside the dust bag in my presents photo. My mum, dad and boyfriend put money together to get me the Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Q Pixie bag in Coral and I love it so much! I was wearing my MET Faux Leather skinny jeans/pants, a Miss Selfridge studded shoulder shirt and bracelets, my River Island wedge booties, my Marc by Marc Jacobs Blade Chrono Rose Gold Watch and my new Classic Q Pixie bag in Coral. I actually forgot to take photos during my meal, but I did remember to take some of my desert and my boyfriends. He had the passion fruit cheesecake and I had the sorbet sundae which I loved! Sorbet is a huge weakness of mine. Again, thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday! I must have had almost 100! I was quite shocked, I really appreciate it! Did you all have a lovely weekend too? And what do you think of my outfit?
It’s my 24th birthday today 😀 I was worried things wouldn’t go very well because it always pours with rain on my birthday. It did this morning, however it stopped by the time we went out for my late lunch meal. I was able to wear the outfit I planned and things actually went smoothly for a change, ha ha. I will share with you in another post on Sunday my outfit and some of the food and my gifts etc, this is just a quick post as I wanted to show this adorable card that my boyfriend made me. Those of you from England like me will probably know Zingy from the EDF Energy adverts on TV, I love him, but you can’t buy him which upsets me, so I’m very happy my boyfriend went to the trouble of making him for me. Isn’t he adorable? His head bounces too! I’ve also included a preview of my presents below and my birthday cake! My mum and I baked it ourselves yesterday, dairy free of course, and I put currants in one side for me and there is jam in the other side 🙂 Also, thank you to everyone who has been sending me birthday wishes via FaceBook, Twitter and Instagram! I really appreciate it! It’s very kind of you! (Follow me on Twitter, Bloglovin and Facebook)
(Jeans – Exact, Shirt – Similar, Shoes – Exact, Watch – Exact, Bracelets – Similar, Hair Ties – Exact) I put this outfit together for a review on DenimBlog with the J Brand Baroque print jeans, but I really liked the simplicity of it again. The jeans are fun, but subtle and they don’t need to be dressed up, so I kept it as natural as possible with just a few accessories and a basic white shirt. I’m wearing my J Brand Baroque print jeans, an old white shirt, my Topshop lace up flats, Miss Selfridge bracelets, an Urban Outfitters Deer necklace and my new Marc by Marc Jacobs Blade Chrono watch in Rose Gold. I also tied up my hair with these really cute Kitsch hair ties! They are safe and delicate on your hair and they look cute on your wrists because you can get printed ones. I got sent them as a gift to test out and I have been using them ever since! I love the neon ones! And my shout outs for my top 5 commenters are Ali, Adam, thehautecookie, Paula and Soulofashopper! Thanks for leaving so many comments!
So here is my new Marc by Marc Jacobs watch! I went ahead with the Blade Chrono in Rose Gold as you know and here is my post showing you it close up as I promised I would do. I mentioned before that I had to have a link taken out and ideally I needed 1 and a half, but that wasn’t possible so I have to make do with it being a little bit loose. I’ve been trying to find some nice bracelets to go with it since rose gold is a bit harder to match things to, but I quite like the pearly white shades and crystals to match it. It’s a gorgeous watch even though it’s really heavy, but I love it very much. It’s my first proper watch like this, so I’m excited to wear it as the rose gold colour is beautiful! What do you think? You can buy it online at Shopbop here. I also wanted to say on a completely unrelated note, for my readers who love denim as much as I do, you might want to check out my 8 Summer Denim Essentials post, my Top 5 Denim Trends post and my Summer Denim Jackets post all on DenimBlog. (Shirt – Exact, Leggings – Exact, Shoes – Similar, Bag – Similar, Watch – Exact) I wore this outfit yesterday when I got some lunch in town with my boyfriend at Nandos. We then got a link taken out of my new watch, did a small bit of shopping in the pet store, as it was my oldest cats birthday, and then headed to the garden centre to get some things for my fish. Since it was such an easy day, I just decided to wear my oversized denim shirt over my leggings for comfort. My hair was air dried as it’s been much too hot to want to blow dry it. Although it’s been cooler today and I want the sun back! I was wearing my Topshop Oversized Denim Shirt, my Miss Selfridge Midnight Blue Leggings, my Urban Outfitters Boat Wedges, my Mulberry Loopy Leopard Denim Alexa Clutch and my new Marc by Marc Jacobs Blade Chrono Watch in Rose Gold. How have you all been anyway? I hope you have been enjoying the heat wave too! I will make a post very soon with close up photos of my new watch so you can see just how it looks. I wasn’t 100% sure at first, but I love it so much now and am used to the weight. The colour is gorgeous too! What do you think of my outfit? Also, for those of you following me on my social media, I mentioned I am going to be doing a giveaway this week and you wont want to miss it! I’m very excited for it! Make sure you…
One thing I am not very good at, and I admit with honesty, is cooking. I am completely useless at it. I usually forget ingredients, cook things wrong or over cook them. I’m utterly useless, but one thing I don’t seem to struggle with is these cookies! I have baked them a few times with my mum by following this recipe, however I substitute regular butter for a dairy free option like Vitalite and I also substitute the chocolate chips for currants, so they are completely dairy free. The first time I found the recipe, I was skeptical because every batch of cookies I’ve made in the past were never chewy or moist, they were always more like biscuits, but these are one of the best cookies I’ve ever made myself! I did mess them up one time though, that was by melting the butter too much, you just need to make it moist so it’s like paste rather than liquid, if you liquify it, it doesn’t work at all, as I found out. They should mention that in the recipe, but they don’t. So what are some of your favourite cookie recipes? (Follow me on Twitter, Bloglovin and Facebook)
(Shorts – Exact, Top – Similar, Sandals – Exact, Sunglasses – Similar, Bracelet – Similar, Watch – Similar) My mum snapped these pictures of me quickly yesterday while we were out in the sunshine. It’s so nice to actually have it really hot again! I love the sun so much! This is just a casual outfit that I put together as I went to go test some new make up. I was wearing vintage Levi’s denim shorts, a H&M pink top and gold bangles, ASOS sandals and watch, a Topshop skull bracelet and my D&G sunglasses. Are you fellow Brits enjoying the sunshine too? And as an update, I did go ahead and get the Marc by Marc Jacobs Blade Chrono watch, that seemed to be a favourite of most of you and it’s the one that originally caught my eye, so I went with my instinct. It arrived earlier and I do like it, but it’s huge, so I may need to get links taken out, but it’s really heavy, so I’m undecided on it at the moment, unfortunately.
