I have noticed that the past few days have been increasingly colder and I am in need of a jacket or jumper as well as having the heating on indoors. Already I am beginning to miss the boiling hot Summer days that I spent in the park and just being able to enjoy the sunshine that we don’t often see here in England. However, I am sort of welcoming our transition into Autumn as it’s one of my favourite seasons. It means I get to start layering my clothes and wearing my cute jackets and scarves as well as getting to see the amazing Autumn hues of red, orange, yellow and brown. I really do think that it’s the most prettiest season! There is something about that crisp fresh air which is quite sharp and cold in your throat, but it’s not too cold to be unbearable. Above is a collage of my favourite photos from the months just gone and below is a collage of some of my favourite photos from the Autumns we have previously had. Are you ready to say goodbye to Summer and hello to Autumn? I’m not sure I’m completely ready, but I don’t think I have a choice! Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful weekend with fun plans! Don’t forget to catch my live stream on my sidebar for the London Fashion Week shows as well, I have watched a few already!
(Jeans – Exact, Blazer – Exact, Top – Similar, Shoes – Similar, Bracelet – Similar) This is an outfit that I put together when I was styling these gorgeous Koral Los Angeles jeans for reviewing. I have fallen so hard for these jeans it’s crazy! I don’t often come across a new brand that I am smitten with from the off, so I’m very happy to be able to review and style these jeans as well as interview the founders for DB. I love the pairing of black and white with a deep red, there is something about it that I am always drawn to, so this outfit just fell in place when I was putting it together. I’m wearing my Koral skinny jeans in Merlot, an Urban Outfitters Stitch To Wear t-shirt and a black blazer, black heels and Lamb bracelet from Topshop. So what do you think of the outfit? Also, just to let you know, London Fashion Week is starting on the 14th and I will be live streaming all of the shows here on my blog. You can find the advert at the top of my side bar to the right which will take you to the page which will have the video stream. I love watching the catwalk shows live from the runway! Don’t forget to watch and let your friends know they can watch live too!
(Jeans – Similar, Jacket – Similar, Top – Exact, Shoes – Similar) The weather was cool enough on Saturday to wear my new Pull & Bear jacket so I decided to pair it with a casual outfit. I kept it comfortable with my Bleulab jeans, a simple vest top and my high tops and I sort of colour coordinated for Autumn. I have actually fallen in love more than I thought I would with this jacket. It’s so cute and easy to wear! I love the drawstring in the middle so that it doesn’t hide your waist. It helps to keep it feminine. I’m wearing my Pull & Bear Khaki Jacket With Faux Leather Sleeves, my Bleulab Reversible Jeans, a Miss Selfridge Burgundy Tank Top and my River Island Hidden Heel Burgundy High Tops. Did you all have a nice weekend? I usually include my lunch photos from when I go out with my boyfriend, however this time around I was really hungry so I didn’t worry too much about taking the photos. You have seen what I ate before though, I chose my usual pizza with no cheese from one of my favourite Italian Pizza places. So what do you think of the outfit? By the way, don’t forget to follow me on Twitter, FaceBook, Pinterest and Instagram (@LornaRaindrops) to keep up to date with my photos and things!
Ever since I was little (aside from my tom boy years), I have always had a thing for unicorns. I think they are so intriguing and magical, I always have a smile when I see anything with a unicorn on when I am out and about and am always tempted to buy it. I love the mythological fantasy world they are from and I’m slowly starting to build up a collection. I don’t mind at all if they can be deemed as childish as usually I like what I like without worrying what others think, so I wanted to share with you my two new necklaces that I picked up on eBay and my new shopper/tote bag from Topshop. Do you love unicorns too? (Follow me on Twitter, Bloglovin and Facebook)
(Jeans – Exact, Shirt – Exact, Shoes – Similar, Necklace – Exact, Rings – Similar & Similar) So here is the outfit with the swallow print shirt that I got. I decided to name it ‘inspired by the birds’ because I went down the route of having a bird theme with my jewellery as well. Since this shirt is satin, the light reflected off of it quite badly so it made it hard to capture correctly in the photos, so I apologise for that. I’m wearing my James Couture Jeans in Vesper, my Forever 21 Swallow shirt and Owl necklace, Rings from Urban Outfitters and ASOS and my Kurt Geiger Eleanor heels in Nude. So what do you think of the outfit? I really like keeping things neutral and simple sometimes, even though I love my bright colours. It can work just as good both ways in my opinion. Also, I never watch Big Brother usually, but this years show has some how really caught my attention. I think it’s because of The Situation, have any of you been watching it?
So as promised, here are my purchases from London from the weekend. For those of you who missed the post (you can see it here). I said I would reveal what was hiding in the shopping bags as soon as I could and here everything is! Since everything was insanely hectic in London, I never tried anything on, I usually just analyze the item and I can tell from looking at it if it will fit me, so I just take what I think will fit and hope for the best. Luckily everything worked out perfectly! Above (left) is a LOVE burgundy maxi skirt which I picked up at Topshop on Oxford Street and (right) an elephant necklace from Urban Outfitters. As you know burgundy is a weakness of mine and I couldn’t resist the colour and the elephant is just adorable! I have had my eye on it for some time. Above is a Pull and Bear khaki jacket with faux leather sleeves. Again, I got this on Oxford Street as I passed by the store. It’s much better suited to me than the Topshop version that I wanted in my wish list because this one has a drawstring waist and the other one doesn’t, so it looked too boxy. I much prefer it when brands take masculine items and make them feminine. If you want a masculine item you can just buy a men’s version, so that’s why I favoured this one instead. I did give you a preview of this worn on Instagram (@LornaRaindrops) and I love how it fits! Above are two swallow print shirts/blouses from…
(Dress – Exact, Heels – Exact, Watch – Exact, Bracelets – Exact & Exact) I took these photos last weekend, but I hadn’t got around to posting them yet. You may remember this dress as I had it on my Autumn/Fall wish list (here) so I snapped it up at ASOS and didn’t regret it at all. I had always wanted the perfect high low dress in black as I think it’s so classic and this one works so well. Luckily it was actually really windy so it made the tail end of the dress float nicely in a lot of the photos, even if it did blow my hair in my face a lot, ha ha. I’m wearing a LOVE Hi Lo Black Dress, my Sam Edelman Yelena heels, my Marc by Marc Jacobs Rose Gold Blade Chrono Watch and bracelets from River Island and ASOS. You may have noticed that I am wearing this watch a lot with similar colour bracelets, I’ve sort of become addicted to the combination. The watch was actually one of the best clothing/fashion purchases I have ever made. I love wearing it all the time and it’s just so beautiful! I hope you are all enjoying Labour Day if you are in America! What do you think of the outfit? Do you love the dress too? You can click the ‘Exact’ words under the main image to purchases what I am wearing.
Above is British Vogue editor, Sarah Harris, myself and Paige Denim’s, Paige Adam’s Geller. As you know I was in London yesterday with my boyfriend covering a Paige Denim event at Selfridges for DenimBlog.com. Paige was launching her exclusive scarf print jeans for the store as part of their Destination Denim month. British Vogue editor, Sarah Harris, was also there with Paige helping customers choose their right fit. There were so many cute styles available and I loved catching up with Paige and Michael again and actually meeting Sarah in person after corresponding via email. She’s so pretty! After the event, we had some time spare before our train home so we walked along Oxford Street to have a look at the shops. It was really crowded and so busy, like usual, so it’s actually a really stressful thing to do. I managed to find a few cute things though! I was actually able to go in a Forever 21 and a Pull and Bear store since I don’t have those shops anywhere near me. They have amazing clothes in both! I also stopped in the Oxford Street Topshop, which was even bigger than I remembered last time, and also quite stressful. I looked in Mulberry, Tiffany’s, The Shoe Galleries (including Christian Louboutin) and the huge denim section, as well as passing by Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Miu Miu and Balenciaga all inside Selfridges. You can’t help but pass by these places while you are inside Selfridges waiting for the event to start. Anyway, I have included lots of photos from my own Instagram (@LornaRaindrops) as well as DenimBlog’s Instagram…
