Merry Christmas everyone! I wanted to say that I hope you all have a lovely holiday spending it with family, friends and loved ones, and I hope you all have time to relax and enjoy the time together. I will be honest and say I am not usually a fan of Christmas, but that’s usually down to the fact that it’s just like a normal day for me and I always feel bad accepting gifts from people. But I know it’s more about spending the day together and enjoying each others company, so I hope you all get to do that and have a wonderful time! What do you think of the Santa hat? I borrowed it from my brother, ha ha.
(Jeans – Exact, Jumper – Exact, Necklace – Exact, Shoes – Similar) I wore this outfit on Friday as I needed to review these jeans for DenimBlog, but I love how the look turned out and wanted to share it with you all here as well. I must admit it is getting slightly frustrating not being able to take decent outfit photos lately, they either come out blurry, dark or are just difficult to do due to the heavy rain, so it’s proving annoying at the moment. I’m wearing my Joe’s Jeans in Hot Pink X-Ray, a Zara Cable Knit Cream Jumper, a Forever 21 Owl Necklace and my Topshop Gabbi Nude Metallic Toe Cap Heels. I do know that these jeans make my thighs and hips appear a lot larger than they actually are, but I adore the print on them and think it’s really pretty and striking. Did you all have a nice weekend? And what do you think of my outfit?
(Coat – Exact, Jeans – Exact, Shoes – Exact, Hat – Exact, Cardigan – Similar) I’m sorry I haven’t posted much this week, the reason for that is I am spending a week before Christmas with my boyfriend, so we have been busy doing things here and there. Yesterday (while wearing this outfit) I went to Birmingham for the day to do some shopping in the Bullring and other things, but it was raining so much and freezing cold. I was wearing my Warehouse Colour Block Parka Coat, my Koral Merlot Skinny Jeans and a Yellow Cardigan, Aubergine Pom Pom Hat and Hidden Heel Accubusi High Tops, all from Topshop. I am thinking of doing a post on my hidden heel high tops actually, I live in them and have about 4 pairs now. Would any of you like that? Also, have you ever been shopping in the Bullring? I included some photos of lunch and the famous Bull statue in the post as well! What do you think of the outfit?
I have teamed up with BambooShoot.co.uk, one of England’s Cambridge Satchel Company stockists, to give one of you lucky Raindrops of Sapphire readers the chance to WIN a FREE Cambridge Satchel 13″ satchel in Vintage Brown. I have the 11″ version in these photos, so the 13″ is slightly bigger and has room for a name badge on the front, which you can see here. I have been in love with this brand for some time, I have a weak spot for the Cambridge made satchels! They are incredibly popular and they hold up really well in the rain as I found out the past two days. You can just wipe the raindrops off and the leather is unharmed. All you have to do to enter this contest is become a fan of both the Raindrops of Sapphire and BambooShoot FaceBook pages (click names to like) and then comment on THIS PHOTO (<- click the words) letting us know why you think you should win the bag. It’s as simple as that! The contest is open worldwide for 2 weeks and will close on the 1st January 2012 at 11:59:59pm BST so anyone can enter! The winner will be chosen by BambooShoot from those of you who have liked both FaceBook pages and left an entry on the specified photo. Good luck to everyone who enters and thank you to BambooShoot for holding this contest with me!
I named this post the one that got away because I realised I hadn’t posted this outfit back in the summer! I had the photos ready, but somehow I never got around to publishing them and it sort of became too late as Autumn came around, however I don’t have an outfit to post today, so I decide it would be nice to reminisce over the summer months when it was warm outside! I was wearing a pair of Agave Denim skinny jeans, a H&M white top, my Topshop Metallic Toe Cap Gabbi heels and an ASOS Butterfly necklace. I always find myself longing for summer, it’s my favourite season and it never ever lasts long enough over here! It’s nice to look back at my photos though, that’s what I love about having a fashion blog, it’s like your own personal diary which you can look back through and see how you spent your months. Anyway, what do you think of the simple summer look?
| 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | It’s sort of somewhat a yearly tradition for me to do my Christmas wish list post in December now. I have been doing it each year since I started my fashion blog, but this time I made collages with numbers instead of listing a long collection of pictures and links. Each piece is available to buy by clicking the corresponding number under each image. Most of these are fashion/accessory pieces as those are usually what I have on my wish list most of the time, and obviously a lot of the items are jeans too, like Rag & Bone and Current/Elliott as well as many Topshop pieces! A few of these are quite expensive, so I’m not expecting to get the majority of these items for Christmas at all, I would be more than happy with a couple of the little things. I’ve not actually asked for anything big this time round, so I have no idea what I am getting! What’s on your wish list? | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 |
(Jeans – Exact, Jumper – Exact, Shoes – Similar, Hat – Similar) As you know, black, white and burgundy is one of my favourite colour combinations, but instead of usually wearing a piece of burgundy clothing, this time I changed it up and had only burgundy accessories. I think the burgundy is nice against the blonde ombre of my hair as well, I feel like it brings out the colour. I’m wearing a Mink Pink Black & White Patch Jumper c/o Look Bible, my Citizens of Humanity Rocket Leatherette Jeans, my River Island Burgundy Hidden Heel High Tops and an unbranded Bowler Hat. I love this jumper, I think the contrasting sleeve detail and the pockets on the front are so cool. I’ve always been a fan of Mink Pink, but never tried anything from the brand. You can actually win this jumper and more in my £100 voucher giveaway with Look Bible. You currently have about a 1 in 5 chance of winning the full prize and there are also 3 runner up prizes. It’s worth entering! Click here to enter. Anyway, What do you think of my outfit? Do you like it?
I collaborated with Monsoon and Accessorize to put together a collage involving pieces that I think are essential for keeping yourself warm and cosy during this time of year. I know everyone is thinking about party dresses and what to wear to their events, but I sometimes prefer to opt for knitted winter dresses, snuggly pyjamas, warm slippers and comfortable knitwear! I selected a few of my favourite pieces from the sites, which I think are a must have right now. I did a cosy day at home post earlier in the year where I wore a big jumper, leggings and slippers and I personally think nothing beats snuggling up on the sofa and watching some old movies that you love while the rain pours down outside. What are your essentials this time of year?
