(Coat – Exact, Jeans – Exact, Cardigan – Similar, Shoes – Similar, Bag – Similar, Umbrella – Exact) Those of you who live over here in England will know that some parts have been hit terribly with stormy rains and winds which have caused a lot of flooding and problems, my city is one of those, but since I live on a hill, I haven’t been too affected, but others have. It was really difficult to get some good photos on Saturday of my outfit as the rain was constant, it was cold and it was just one of those annoying days where you want to go home. I did stay in town for lunch with my boyfriend though, we ate in my favourite pizza place! I’m wearing a Colour Block Parka coat c/o Warehouse, my James Jeans Couture skinnies, a t-shirt and Mustard cardigan from H&M, a Forever 21 Purple and Blue bag, my Bronx Glitter slippers and a Lulu Guinness Bird Cage umbrella. I got this coat as a gift from Warehouse to style in my outfit post and I actually love it so I have worn it numerous times already. I love the fact it’s got elasticated fabric at the wrists (inside the sleeves) so it keeps a snug fit to your arms without it showing and it’s just really warm and interesting. The collar is detachable, but I think it adds more to the two colours in the coat. I really like it. What do you all think of the outfit? I do apologise for the photos being blurry.
Ok, as you know I have been wanting to ombre/dip dye my dark blonde hair for some time, but I was really scared to do it. I didn’t have the money to have it done at the salon as that costs a lot and I don’t have the patience to sit there for hours, so I bought the L’oreal Wild Ombre’s kit in shade number 3 for blonde hair. I read a few reviews on this product and some were bad, some were good. Mostly they were about the dye drying out the hair and ruining it, however that didn’t happen with mine, my hair is still really soft as you can see. My biggest issue with the Loreal Wild Ombre is the colour though, it really hasn’t come out the way I wanted it too. I was hoping it would be like the colour on the box below, an actual blonde with white undertones, but I guess nothing ever does what it says on the box… Mine has turned out blonde with orange/yellow undertones and since I have dark mousy blonde on top, that tone doesn’t suit me, I really need the white undertone blonde at the ends of my hair. As far as applying the hair dye goes, it’s very easy, you just mix up the dye, squeeze it onto the plastic brush and brush it through the lengths of your hair. I did mine the first time and left it on for about half an hour, however it barely did anything, all it did was slightly lighten the ends, but it made my brown at the back…
(Jeans – Similar, Jumper – Similar, Shoes – Similar) I was thinking to myself, can you really make camo print feminine? So I wanted to pair these Vanilla Star jeans that I got sent, with heels and see if it would work out well. I kept the look simple with my old jumper so it wasn’t too feminine, but I think these jeans work well with the black heels and camo print is much more versatile than I initially thought. I’m wearing camo jeans C/O Vanilla Star, my old All Saints white jumper and my Topshop black suede heels. I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving and are snapping up lots of deals today for Black Friday! I know Shopbop have some amazing discounts going on, as do Urban Outfitters, ASOS, SSENSE, and Topshop has free worldwide shipping! Anyway, do you like the outfit? Comment and let me know!
(Gilet – Exact, Jumper – Similar, Jeans – Exact, Shoes – Exact) I wore this outfit last week when I went to get my hair cut. I remember wearing gilets in the 90’s when I was growing up and I thought I would never want to wear one again, however I saw this one at Topshop and fell in love with it! I think it’s really versatile as it’s black, but it has those extra elements like the faux fur collar and winter print at the top. Plus, it’s incredibly warm! I’m wearing my Merlot Koral Los Angeles jeans and a white jumper, winter gilet and velvet hidden heel trainers, all from Topshop. I can tell that I am going to be wearing this gilet a lot actually as I crave the extra warmth. When I am out and about I do favour the more casual looks like this, so I think it will work well in outfits to come. I also wanted to wish my American readers a Happy Thanksgiving for tomorrow! I hope you all have a lovely day with your families! What do you think of the outfit?
The gorgeous view from where I live at the end of summer. Sorry that I haven’t done an Instagram photo collection post in a while, I have had so many other posts to do which involved collaborations, events and important outfit photos that I didn’t have time to put one up last month. Anyway, here are some of my snaps from last month on my Instagram! You can follow me @LornaRaindrops to keep up to date! My bag from Forever21.
(Jeans – Similar, Top – Exact, Blazer – Exact, Shoes – Similar, Necklace – Similar, Ring – Exact) I got these jeans a couple of weeks ago from Rag & Bone and I have been absolutely obsessed with them since! I recently reviewed them on DenimBlog and I have been wearing them with so many different outfits. This combination here is one of my favourites though and I really like how it turned out, I think it really represents Autumn! Especially with the leafy background. I’m wearing Rag & Bone skinny jeans in Chester, a Burgundy top and Faux Leather Sleeve blazer from Zara, my heels and rings are from Topshop and my Key necklace is from ASOS. I watched the Lion King yesterday live on stage and it was absolutely incredible! I loved it so much! It’s quite different to the original Disney cartoon, but the interpretation was just beautiful! Have any of you seen it? I was right at the front so I almost had a giraffe on my head and one of the hyenas tried to scare me lol. I have recently just had my hair cut and I was planning on doing my ombre today too, but I’m really unsure if I am brave enough to go through with it! Anyway, do you like the outfit?
(Jeans – Exact ON SALE, Jacket – Exact, Top – Exact, Shoes – Exact) Ok, so this is the outfit that I wore yesterday while travelling around London for the last SS13 press day. I wore something comfortable and casual and the jacket is really warm. I was expecting it to be really cold, but the weather suprised me yesterday as it was blue skies and fairly mild out. I have included my outfit photos that I took at Somerset House and I have also included some great snaps of famous landmarks like Big Ben and Buckingham Palace, which I passed during my travelling. I’m wearing a Fleece Denim jacket and Burgundy Linen top from Zara, my Citizens of Humanity Rocket jeans and my Topshop Hidden Heel Acrobatic Velvet Wedge trainers. I’m actually glad that I don’t have to make another trip until the AW13 collections are due for previewing. All of the travelling is something that I just can’t get used to, I really dislike it, but when I am in London, I just adore seeing everything as it’s amazing. My mum even saw the Queen and Prince Philip as they were out on their horse and carriage with police escorts, but as we were in the taxi I was too slow and only saw the back of the carriage. Anyway, what do you think of the outfit and London photos?
I collaborated with online store Katie’s to choose some of my favourite items, however I wanted to make this post a little different, so I decided to re-create one of my favourite outfits of my own with a couple of items from their store. I chose my black hi low maxi dress that I wore back in the summer months, to use as an inspiration for this outfit. I got the look with a Katie’s long length black Maxi Dress and added a gold necklace for detail. I know that I didn’t have any neck jewellery in my outfit, but I did have a lot of gold arm candy, so I changed it up. All you need now is a pair of heeled sandals and you will have the look. I know we are currently in autumn and almost winter, but I love looking back to summer and thinking about the warmer weather, it really cheers me up! Plus, this would be perfect for any hot country holidays you have planned!
