2019

Happy New Year everyone! Can you believe that 2019 is officially over now? This year flew by and it’s been the year of so many changes and so much growth for me! I thought I would do my annual round up of the months, sharing things that happened and my favourite outfits from those months, to reflect and take a look back on the year as a whole. I’ve done a lot this year in regards to working on myself, and I know 2020 is going to be my year! A very big year for me! I feel it! JANUARY January was a very chilled month, but I attended the Gillette launch party as Adam was an ambassador for the brand for a few months. It was really cool! I know you guys probably remember it, but if you don’t, you can click here to read about it. FEBRUARY February was the month that I changed my blog theme around, started editing my photos differently, and stuck with a more classic, clean, simple approach that I’m still using now. I love it! It snowed too, which was incredible as we managed to get some amazing shots, but this month contained some of my favourite outfits entirely! MARCH Spring was approaching and I worked with Amazon on my body confidence post for the lingerie, and The Cambridge Satchel Company for their Emily tote! I remember looking around for ages trying to find blossom or purple flowers to complement the bag in photos! APRIL April was one of the best months for me in 2019! I finally attended my Shawn Mendes concert…

The Faviola Geometric Boots Outfit

It’s always been constantly raining here in England. I know that’s a cliche, but it actually has. I swear it’s rained 90% off this year! Taking outfit photos has been pretty tricky, waiting for the rain to stop, the light to be right, etc. but I actually think the wet ground added a pretty element to these photos. This was the second set of photos from my GEOX collaboration on Instagram (see the first here) and it features a look I put together, centered around the Faviola Boots. They have such a cool geometric design in suede, using burgundy, grey, and navy, to make a statement. I paired them with my Reiss Scarlet Teddy Coat, my Topshop Faux Leather Skirt, and a Mango Tank Top. It’s a pretty simple combination and one that I think turned out quite nicely, as it’s chic, put together, smart, yet still stylish and fun. So, this rounds out my last outfit post of the year 2019! My next blog post is going to be a roundup of the year, and looking forward to 2020. Can you believe how fast it’s all gone? I think this look here though, with GEOX, is a great way to end the blogging year! What do you think? Lorna. *AD – I wasn’t paid for this blog post, as my collaboration with GEOX was for Instagram only, however I love the way the photos turned out so I’m sharing them here too!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

It’s Christmas! Are you hanging up a stocking on your wall? It’s the time that every Santa has a ball Does he ride a red-nosed reindeer? Does a ton-up on his sleigh? Do the fairies keep him sober for a day? Christmas came around fast this year, didn’t it? I haven’t really put up any decorations this year, we haven’t really been feeling entirely festive. I was sick for a while with a cold and a flu, so that put things on hold a little bit, but instead of a Christmas tree this year, we’ve put up lots of different light ornaments and candles, which feels festive, but not over the top. I’m sharing two different looks this time, one of them is a Christmas fair isle onesie that I picked up from Pretty Little Thing, styled with a sparkly Christmas hat. I thought this would be ideal for lounging around on Christmas day! The other look is something more suited to the New Year or an evening out on Christmas. Again, I purchased it from Pretty Little Thing, and it’s a deep red satin dress with ruched detailing to it. I think it’s incredibly sexy for an affordable dress like this, and I’m in love with it! Out of these two, which is your favourite? Anyway, I want to wish you all a very, very Happy Christmas! I am so thankful and grateful to all of you for your continued support! I plan on doing more of a New Years roundup, with my thanks and more in it, but as it’s Christmas, I wish you all a happy holiday…

Currently Craving Wish List: December 2019

This is going to be my last Currently Craving Gift Guide of the year 2019! I can’t believe it’s already the 19th of December and in just a few more days, we’re heading straight into 2020! That’s crazy! I’ve included a few pieces here which are usual in these wish lists, like clothes and things, but also a few gift options too! Starting out, I have the Rebecca Minkoff Brown Suede Edie cross-body bag and I think that’s gorgeous! I want that myself! Then there’s a delicious smelling Holiday scented candle, which I own and love, the smell is divine! Then there’s the L’AGENCE Foil Metallic cami top, perfect for New Years Eve. I also chose this COACH 1941 camera bag as it’s petite and the print is gorgeous. I thought this Versace Printed Button Down Shirt was really cool too, if you have a little more money to splurge on an outfit. Now getting to denim, I’ve selected these Citizens of Humanity Emery Jeans, which are a boyfriend mom style and a pair of their Olivia Jeans, as well as their new Chrissy high rise skinny jeans in grey. I think any of these three will be fantastic! I’ve also selected the R13 Western Cowboy Boots because they’re super pretty and cool, I’d love to wear those! If you want something a little more feminine, I’ve chosen this Shashi Desire Bracelet, as it’s beautiful. Then I can’t make a list without including anything from the Allsaints sale, can I? I selected their Allsaints Dalby Dark Raspberry Leather Jacket, a pair of their Leopard Boots, a Blush Pink Scarf, and…

An Autumn Burgundy Duster Look

A Burgundy Duster Coat With Snake Print Boots We shot these photos in the churchyard in Bristol in the Redcliffe area. We hadn’t known that there was a church there until we spotted it out the view from the hotel window, and it was absolutely beautiful, especially during the Autumn time as these were shot around 5 weeks ago. Doesn’t the scenery look stunning? I thought the old fashioned lamp post would make a great backdrop. It was absolutely freezing though! I don’t think I wore the most sensible outfit for these photos! I was frozen by the time we went back to the hotel, and I couldn’t take anymore of the bitterness without getting angry! Does anyone else get really angry when they are frozen cold, lol? For my outfit, I was wearing my Oasis Burgundy Duster Coat (you saw it before here) which I styled with my new L’Academie Katlyn Top that I was gifted from Revolve. I love the tobacco, bronze, metallic shade it has to it and the ruched neckline. I tucked it inside my Topshop Cream Corduroy Skirt, which I put my Louis Vuitton LV Monogram Belt around, to make it pop and finish it off. For my accessories, I opted to wear my Topshop Snake Print Boots and that matched up nicely with my ASOS Snake Print Bag, to complete the accessories. I paired these two snake print pieces together in this outfit here before, and I quite like how it turned out, so I thought I would wear it again with this look. I think this outfit here is the perfect Autumn style…

Autumn Country Walks With Geox

I wasn’t intending on sharing these photos here as it was an Instagram collaboration between myself and the wonderful GEOX brand, without a blog post being needed, however, I loved how these photos turned out so much that I had to share them! Isn’t the Autumn scenery stunning? These photos were shot about 3 weeks ago or so, and now we’re in Winter so there’s no orange left anywhere. Looking back at these though makes me feel really happy and relaxed as I just adore Autumn. If you’re wondering where these photos were taken, they were shot up at Lansdown Crescent in Bath. There’s a little woodland walk close by and it’s incredible. There’s hardly anyone there every single time I have been, so I appreciate that it’s quiet too. For my outfit, I had on a GEOX Padded Coat, which I have actually been wearing all the time since it’s freezing. I’m wearing it daily as my casual coat as it’s lightweight and breathable, but also warm. I also got it a little bigger for layering underneath. I styled it with an older Topshop Grey Sweater, my Beyond Yoga Leggings, and a pair of the GEOX Nebula Purple Trainers. How cool are they?! It’s a super comfortable and casual outfit, perfect for a casual day out. What do you think of it? Sorry I have been absent again as well, I got sick on Saturday and am only just getting back to normal. I hope you’re all well! A Leather Jacket And Knitted Dress

Isn’t Autumn just the most stunning time of year? I can never get enough! Luckily, we still have a few orange leaves left on the trees here, but these photos were taken in Bristol about 3 weeks ago now. Those rich, golden tones make me so happy when I look at them and breathe in the crisp air. For my outfit, as you know, I’m really feeling the Western rock inspired vibes, which is why I put this together. I opted to wear my Topshop Column Knitted Dress in Cream, and I layered my Allsaints Dalby Leather Jacket in Black over the top. For the boots, I went with my Topshop Western Boots, and then finished it all off with a Brixton Black Hat. I love how this combination turned out! It’s a style I feel very comfortable in and enjoy wearing. I went with the Allsaints Dalby (buy it here) purely because it’s cleaner and has a sleek silhouette to it, making it the perfect leather jacket to accompany a look like this. If I went with my Allsaints Elva Leather Jacket, I think it would have been too detailed and masculine, whereas the Dalby has a very feminine, sleek edge to it, which is perfect for adding a girly vibe. What do you think of this outfit? Lorna xx. *This post contains affiliate links to help keep this blog running.

Attending The Last Christmas Premiere In London

On the 11th November 2019, one of my dreams came true. I was invited to a movie premiere in London and it was one of the best experiences of my life! The movie was ‘Last Christmas‘, which is the film of the year for Christmas right now, and it features Emma Thompson (I’ve always been a huge fan of her), Emilia Clarke, Henry Golding and many more! I got to walk the red carpet (it was actually blue for Christmas) and actually watch the movie. Kylie Minogue was on the carpet with us, and we met her, which was incredible! We got to listen to Emma Thompson and Paul Feig (the director) introduce the movie on stage before it started, and it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life! I shared it all in a highlight on my Instagram stories (click here for that) and I will never forget it! It was always a goal of mine to go to a movie premiere as I love the film industry so much! The next day, I was also invited to the Christmas lights switch on in Covent Garden, as a last minute thing! I was due to go home, but I hung around instead and came back really late at night. The cast were there on stage, along with Ronan Keating, and we got to do a singalong to the song ‘Last Christmas’ as well, which was so much fun! To anyone who has seen the movie already, what did you think? And if you haven’t, it’s a cute, fun, feel good movie that I recommend! For my…
