Nordgreen Native Mother Of Pearl Watch & Megara Bracelet Review

Nordgreen Native Watch & Megara Bracelet + 15% Off

Those of you that read my blog regularly might remember an article that I wrote last year titled ‘Nordgreen The Unika Watch Review‘ and quite a lot of you purchased the watch. I’m back with another Nordgreen timepiece, and this time a little something extra for the festive season. Christmas time is all about giving and I have the perfect options for your loved ones. Creating those long lasting memories. With that in mind, I shot these photos with lots of lights and decoration, as I’m really in the festive mood, but in a very classy and minimal way – just like this watch.

The Nordgreen Native design comes in rose gold, yellow gold, and silver, in sizes of 28mm or 32mm, with many different dial options as well as strap options. I’m reviewing the Nordgreen Native Mother Of Pearl 28mm Watch as that’s what I chose, along with the silver mesh strap, and I love it! It’s so classy and elegant – its simplicity is stunning.

Nordgreen designed the Native to be minimal, with the minute marks only appearing when exposed to direct sunlight, to keep the watch face simple, while the hour marks of 3 and 9 are gently prolonged evoking an understated feeling of serenity. The watch case itself is slim and slightly elevated on the lugs which adds an elegant feel to the wrist, allowing it to sit comfortably. The inside mechanisms are powered by a Japanese quartz movement, and designed with long-standing precision and functionality in mind.

I adore this combination on the Native watch and am so glad I chose it. Even though I would absolutely love the rose gold or yellow gold, I have been feeling silver jewellery lately! This design retails at £164, but the gift sets already have 20% off on their website, ahead of the holidays. Plus, on top of that, I have a discount code that allows you to get 15% off as well, so you can use the code: RAIN at the checkout for an extra 15% off your order! Also, if you order by the 18th December, you will receive it in time for Christmas.

Now moving onto the Nordgreen Megara Bracelet – I chose this one in silver, however it also comes in rose gold and yellow gold, and retails for £44. Nordgreen just introduced jewellery to their collection, so it’s completely brand new, having just launched, but I chose this specific bracelet because of the simplicity and beauty it holds – making it perfect to pair with my Native watch. The mother of pearl inside the raindrop shape matches the watch dial and of course, with my blog being named Raindrops of Sapphire, this couldn’t be more perfect! It really is a great gift, for yourself or someone else.

Elegantly crafted with natural mother-of pearl, the Megara bracelet combines a modern and minimalist design with timeless aesthetic appeal taking inspiration from the ocean with the pendant’s rounded marine shape. This modern bracelet is crafted with 38% recycled stainless steel and finished with a long-lasting polished plating for a premium feel. The Megara bracelet is envisioned to be worn on its own or together with the Megara necklace and earrings for a complete statement look.

I’m not leaving you guys out either though, I know I have many male readers and Nordgreen make men’s watches as well as women’s watches, so you’re in good hands! They also come with a little metal strap adjuster rod for the mesh straps, which is super important! I had to mention that because any other watches I’ve gotten with a mesh strap never have an adjuster rod – which I hate! I’ve ended up scratching watches trying to do it in my own DIY way!

Another amazing thing about Nordgreen is their eco friendly approach. I know I mentioned this before in my last blog post, but along with their inspirational Scandinavian design and a timeless aesthetic appeal, they also use responsible packaging made of oeko-tex certified cotton and FSC-certified paper.

Sustainability and protecting the environment is a huge part of the company’s heritage, so they also offer vegan watches as well as a giving back donation programme! This is done through global NGOs: CoolEarth, Pratham UK, & WaterForGood, so with every purchase, they provide 1 month of clean water to a family in Africa / 2 months of free education to children in India / funding for preserving 200 sq ft of rain forest in Latin America. Even returned watches are refurbished to the same standard as new to reduce waste. They use a carbon-neutral shipping partner, and are planting thousands of trees to offset carbon emission generated by the office in Copenhagen.

This is another reason why Nordgreen watches or jewellery would make the perfect gift! Not only are you giving a stunning item to your loved ones, but they can give back to a charity with the brand too. You can check out the link to the gift sets below with 20% off, and get the extra 15% off with my code: RAIN at the checkout. What do you think of this timepiece and bracelet? Happy Holidays! Lorna xx.
