My Ohio, United States Photo Diary – Part 2

Mike, myself, and Sheila, at the Mix 106.1 radio station.

And here is part two of my Ohio, United States photo diary! I know it had been a little while since I shared the first one, but I have been super busy and getting all of the pictures ready to post took a long time! I must have taken thousands while I was in the USA for 5 weeks, so narrowing it down was pretty tough! There will be a part three coming too, and that will be the final one, but honestly, I had the best time of my life and looking back at the photos seems so surreal. It almost feels like I’m looking at someone else in the pictures, like it didn’t actually happen, even though I know it did! Does anyone else ever get that after amazing experiences?

Anyway, I’ve been back home for about five weeks and I’m really sad to be back. I got to do almost everything that I wanted to do over there, and I fell in love with America. It’s home to me. I made some amazing friends, especially at games night with Sheila and Mike (below). Mike’s wife knitted me two hats with my blog name on them, gave me a Coach wristlet, and Sheila gave me a little Ohio State Brutus mascot Christmas tree decoration. I got to experience some amazing food (Chipotle is my absolute favourite) and just feel so much freedom over there. We got into a routine of getting slushees at the gas station anytime we passed it, ha ha. I really cannot explain the amazing time I had there, so all I can do is share a tonne of photos with you all, and hope that they portray that!

In terms of coming home, I was due to leave on the 8th October, and I got notifications saying my first flight into Atlanta was delayed, so we set out to the airport slowly, but on the way, I got another message saying my flight was delayed even more, and that would mean I missed my main connection from Atlanta to London, so I had to reschedule. We ended up making a day of it and going to Polaris Fashion Place instead, after all of my anxiety and stress had subsided. I re-booked my flight for Sunday the 10th instead, so I actually got two extra days in Ohio! I can’t complain about that! Enjoy the photos! Lorna xx.

I got to attend my very first football game! It was a high school game, at Christen’s school, and it was also the Homecoming game, so I got to see the Homecoming Queen get crowned! The hot chocolate was delicious too!

Me posing with a bright red, iconic Target shopping cart, ha ha.

Two gorgeous views at night and at sunset in Mansfield, Ohio.

I got to go on the radio at Mix 106.1 with Mike and Sheila! I listen to their show back home, so it was an honour to be invited on! I also did some weather recordings for fun, and I was on Christen’s overnight show too! It was so exciting!

I will always be fascinated by the size of the aisles in stores! This is Meijer!

Some cool graffiti downtown.

A gorgeous sunset and a barn on an evening walk.

Posing for selfies at the mall after I just picked up my new sunglasses at American Eagle.

I finally got to meet Ashley and Jordan in person, and have dinner with them! I’ve known her for ages and she’s such a cool person!

Just a couple of selfies.

Changing room mirror selfie while shopping for sweat pants!

How cool is this? A Benefit vending machine at the Atlanta airport!

Having fun at the Ashland County Fair! I rode this flying machine, ha ha!

First time seeing a real Jukebox in person!

Here are the gifts that I got given, including the two hats that Heidi made for me!

New American Eagle shirt selfie!

Posing for some photos outside of Cracker Barrel after having breakfast there!

A delicious cauliflower crust pizza at California Pizza Kitchen.

This one is funny! After listening to The Cove Coffee Shop advertisement on the Mix 106.1 radio station so much, I wanted to go there and try their famous Nitro Tea. Turns out it was terrible, lol.

Shopping at Polaris Fashion Place in Columbus, after missing my flight. Christen picked up this really cool leather jacket at Coach.

Some cool views from the aeroplane.

An impromptu photoshoot at JCPenney, ha ha.

We had a crackers and cheese night, as well as made tacos on another night.

My two super cool Cleveland Browns hats!

An American Eagle changing room selfie. I love these jeans!

A stunning sunset outside of Texas Roadhouse, and the Summery views at Easton Mall.

It was our dream to try on Allsaints Conroy Leather Jackets in person together, ha ha. They didn’t work out for us, but at least we got to! They were pretty cool!
