Some Current Inspirations, Changes & New Things

Happy Christmas Everyone!

Happy Christmas Eve everyone! I know I’ve said it a lot, but I can’t believe how fast the time has gone towards the end of this year, Christmas has really crept up on me and because I’ve been so busy, I’ve not really gotten into the Christmas spirit just yet. I’m hoping that will change tomorrow though on Christmas day! How are you all feeling about it?

For this blog post, I had planned on doing a roundup of my week with the festive celebrations, but I never ended up doing anything like that as I had other things to do instead, so I’ve made this blog post into a round-up of the current things I am doing. I know I already did a December life update, but this is different as it’s including changes that are coming for 2019 as well as some other updates that I missed out on the last one because they hadn’t happened yet. So, I will get to it!

The shot above is of my new Senreve Belt Bag that I got in Burgundy from Shopbop a couple of weeks ago. It’s SO cute! I love that you can wear it numerous ways. I was choosing between the burgundy and the brown (you might have seen on Instagram with the poll) and went for this option as I have a lot of brown bags as it is. I have an outfit of this look to share with you soon. If you like it, you can click here to shop it.

This isn’t me, obviously, but it’s a girl I have been inspired by called @LRadwell on Instagram and I’ve been wanting to do more detailed, close up, fashion angles for quite some time. I love what she’s done and she’s proven that you can make it work and look classy even if you have a larger chest as well. Plus, she has that Louis Vuitton belt on that is on my wish list! I am hoping to get it next year if I can save up enough for it! Isn’t it gorgeous? So you will be seeing more angles similar to this (in my own way) going forward!

These are some new iPhone cases that I got from Velvet Caviar and I love them! Marble is something I am really into, as is galaxy print, and these two combine both. Plus, with the ring on the back, it means I wont drop my phone which I have done numerous times before and currently have a smashed bottom of the screen! Are you a fan of these cute phone cases?

Here are the only few festive things I can share with you in this post! My light up glow jar from Urban Outfitters that I picked up in the sale. We did some gluten free biscuit baking, which turned out ok, but not amazing, and then a shot of our tree as well. This tree has been up since the 1st December though, ha ha!

Now this is the exciting part! I finally got my ears pierced again. You know I have been waiting for this for months and have been on the wait list for the white gold moons to come in stock, and they finally did so I got them pierced on Saturday. It was a huge achievement for me and I’m proud of myself as I’m extremely needle phobic (I had my others pierced by the gun when I was 14). I felt sick, was very scared, but I did it without putting up any fight. I wont lie, it hurt so much more than I thought it would, and my ears were sore for the rest of the day, but they’re doing good. I’m on top of the after care and keeping them super clean, not touching them etc. so hopefully they heal up nicely! I love them though and am happy I had them done. They match my stars nicely! I’d consider a third in the future for sure, but I will stick to cuffs for the upper ears as no way would I go through that, ha ha. Do you like them? You can watch my story highlights on my Instagram, although I wasn’t allowed to film having them done, just before and after. I got them done at Broad St Studio here in Bath and the guy Mike who I’ve been chatting to for months is so kind and nice, I recommend them to you if you’re in the area and need piercings, they’re amazing!

This was some Christmas inspiration I found on Instagram by @ThePixieCut and I loved it! I would love to have a photo in front of that! It’s gorgeous!

Now this wont come as a surprise as I’ve been saying since the summer that I want some tattoos too, and I’ve got a few in mind. I’m considering a sapphire raindrop on my wrist, for obvious reasons, but I also want some moons and something space related on the collar bone (really small) I’m just not sure how I want it at the moment. Another is on the back of my arm, a galaxy print shape or wolf, but obviously this is going to take a lot of preparation for me. I have heightened nerves, so finding my piercing painful was a shock to me, and I think it would be extra painful with the EDS having a tattoo, so I have to psyche myself up for that one! I’ve always wanted a tattoo but never thought I had the guts to go ahead and do it, so we will see if 2019 will work out for me!

And finally, inspiration for my room. What I had been doing all week was cleaning and tidying. I am trying to make my bedroom into a closet/bedroom/studio combination entirely. So I’ve got a lot of moving more things to be done, finding home for others, then trying to part with items etc., but the biggest thing is saving up for a huge mirror, a shelving unit to house all my knitwear and my jeans, a rug, a lamp, a studio light and more, so I can take mirror photos (like the one above) and do my own detailed close up outfit shots when Adam isn’t here, as I can only usually take the photos 3 weekends a month as he uses the camera for his work and obviously takes my photos usually. I was hoping to get that done in January, but at the moment due to my funds, it’s not looking likely, but hopefully sooner rather than later!

Anyway, I hope you’re well! I’m doing something I have never done before as well, I’m taking a week off. I want to actually have some downtime and rest up after being so busy, so I will be back with my next post here on my fashion blog on New Years Eve as a round out of the year and my outfits. Merry Christmas everyone! I love you all and can’t thank you enough for supporting and following me this year, and for the previous years, I’m eternally grateful. Lorna xx.

Merry Christmas to you and Adam! These are awesome inspiration and kudos for getting your ears pierced! Love the piece that you selected for the piercing. I have seen the LV and Gucci belt for quite some time. I am obsessed with both. It’s such a great way to instantly add sophistication to any outfit! See you next week and enjoy your break!

Yes! I love the Gucci belts, I own the brown and black ones as you’ve probably seen, so LV is definitely next on my list! Merry Christmas!

A shelving unit to house all of your jeans sounds like quite a challenge! LOL

The baking looks good to me. It’s nice to make things in those festive shapes. What was it about them that made you feel they were only OK?

I hope that you are having a lovely day. I feel a bit more like Christmas now that the actual day is here but I think it might fall a bit flat again later on this evening when I go home because I have to work tomorrow.

Yeah, I think I’m going to have to get rid of a lot or at least move them out of my room, there’s too many, ha ha.

And the biscuits were only ok because I just used a basic recipe mostly, never really done them before, so they didn’t have an amazing taste, just a general biscuit taste. Don’t know what I was expecting really!

That light up jar looks so cute and your new ear piercings are awesome! 🙂 The biscuits look yummy even if they didn’t turn out like you hoped!

Hope that you had a wonderful Christmas 🙂 It was a busy but fun one here as I hosted it this year for my family. Now we are enjoying some quiet time at home and eating lots of delicious leftovers, and I’m doing a little bit of blog reading after my break from blogging for a few days!

Those are some really pretty tattoo ideas dear. I personally love the minimalist ones, but can’t go wrong with those colorful ones as well.
