Currently Craving Wish List: November 2017

In just a couple of days time it’s going to be December and that’s one of my favourite months! Not because of the weather, I really dislike December for that, but because it’s a festive month and everyone has an excuse to be jolly and kind! I know us Brits are known for being grumpy, so the Christmas period always comes with that reason for people to be silly and wear funny Christmas knitwear, or just to be kind because there’s a reason. I feel like this should transition to every month though as there’s always reason to be kind. It’s also the month that Adam and I get to spend extra time with each other, away from work, so that excites me! Plus… there’s Christmas lights everywhere! We even have fake snow every hour in Southgate here in Bath!

Don’t worry though, this isn’t my last wish list before Christmas! I will be doing an actual Christmas gift guide in December, around the 10th, and this time it’s a bit different. I’m including a collage from myself, one from my mum, and one from Adam. That way almost all the bases are covered when it comes to gifts for different people and ages. I thought that might be more fun than just giving my own opinion on everything, as after all, no one of us is the same!

So, what’s in my Currently Craving Wish List for November? A lot of interesting things! It’s no secret that I really love Joules (as I’m sure you all know) so that grey and white jumper with the pink on it is one that I’ve had my eye on for a while! I did try it on and unfortunately it’s itchy (I’m sensitive to wool), so it’s a no go for me, but the red version of my Gosfield coat in burgundy/purple could be! It’s so striking! Then there’s 2 pairs of jeans, one from Moussy and the other from J Brand. I was so attracted to the blue and the distressing on both of them that I had to include! Or if you can find any other jeans here, let me know your choices! Then I think the Topshop faux shearling coat needs no explanation – it’s beautiful! And finally, that purple velvet blazer coat from Reiss… Do I really need to explain how in love with that I am?

Getting to the accessories, I thought the Nixon watch was so pretty and unique with the oil slick inspired dial. I love iridescent things like that! Then those Jeffrey Campbell boots are a little out there for me as I wouldn’t usually wear something like that, however, I think they’re really intriguing and would literally jazz up any plain skinny jeans! Sometimes a pop of bold footwear is what you need. Then as it’s freezing out, hats are something I live in, and one with 2 pom poms on top is missing from my collection, so I might need to add this one in! Also, gloves. These are the white ones that I own and you saw (here), but they come in other colours which I need to snap up! Finally, the little faux fur owl coin purse – how cute is that?! I saw it and had to include it! I have been on the look out for a new wallet – any here that take your fancy?

I also wanted to take the time to mention Cornerstone here. I always have issues with shavers as I get a lot of ingrown hairs. I use my Philips electric shaver for my legs, but it doesn’t work at giving me a clean shave elsewhere. I received this Cornerstone shaving kit and I love it! I know it’s for guys, but I find that the best razors are made for men anyway, so it’s fine. Mine has been engraved on the handle with my initials of L.B and it’s so cute! It’s really good too as the handle is nice and weighty, as well as sleek, so it makes the shaving easy. If you’re looking for a new razor or even want to give one as a gift to someone for Christmas, I definitely recommend their products! The engraving is such a personal touch and you can replace the razor heads so you always keep the special handle. They have multiple different face products, as well as leather bags to keep everything in, so it’s a luxurious gift for a man in your life! Have any of you tried them?

Oh you’re right, that coin purse is adorable! πŸ™‚ It’s a shame that first striped jumper is itchy as it is my favourite piece of all the things you shared! πŸ™‚

Hope you are having a lovely week! I’m getting excited it will be December this weekend! We are going to put up our tree then. I agree with you too, everything is just so much more festive and people much happier in December! πŸ™‚

It might not be itchy for you πŸ™‚ It’s just me and my wool issue!

That’s exciting you’re putting up your tree! Will you be sharing photos?

That owl coin purse!! Oh my gosh, it’s too cute. As always, I want everything on your list, haha. And thank you for the tip on Cornerstone! My husband was actually asking for a nice shave kit for Christmas this year…and he is SO picky about his shaving kits. This sounds like an awesome one!

Weirdly, I often as not buy razors marketed to women, probably because the high-zoot men’s products all look like spare parts for Range Rovers.

Awesome wishlist dear! I loved both of the ripped jeans, the cute beanie and that warm red jacket. Also, thanks for introducing us to Cornerstone, I didn’t know the brand so it was interesting to hear about them! πŸ™‚

I love that you’ve included so many colourful items in this selection. Colour really makes such a difference to these winter months. My favourite item in your selections this month is that cute hat! Having two pom poms is a funny idea (I’ve not noticed if it’s a trend… I’ll have to keep my eyes open and see if I notice people wearing such hats) but it works. πŸ˜€

The colours in the boots are very vivid and cheery too though I’m not sure if there might be slightly too much going on with them? I think I’d have to see what they were being worn with to judge those.

The watch is so nice too. Like I often say when you you post about watches – I like the the simple but elegant ones best… and this certainly fits into both of those descriptions. πŸ™‚

Really glad you like the items! I think you will notice the 2 pom poms, it started coming about last year and I’ve seen a lot of it this year. Like bear ears!

      • December 4, 2017 / 7:11 pm

Yeah… I bet that now I’ve seen it on your blog I’ll notice them more out and about. It sometimes happens like that. πŸ™‚

Yep! I remember when I was younger and found out what a Rolex was, I was hearing it everywhere like it was stalking me! Ha ha πŸ˜€

Hi Lorna! I hope you’re well. I really like your wish list, and the owl coin purse is my favourite thing ever! I also love the watch, the colours on the clock face are beautiful, and the deep purple blazer. Your choices are always lovely. And I adore the pom poms on the hat, they would definitely lift my mood on a cold day. I’m excited to see the detailed gift guide you have planned with your own gift selection, and input from your Mum and Adam as well!

    Lots of love Saba xx
