Hey everyone! As per tradition, like I’ve been doing for around 5 years now, here is my Halloween costume for this year! I’m sure you’ve already guessed what I might be, based on the title or by my iconic red cape, but if you scrolled right past all of that… I’m Little Red Riding Hood!
When it comes to my Halloween costumes, I absolutely love dressing up and I start thinking about what I want to be months in advance. You already know that I don’t celebrate the actually holiday itself, neither do my family, but the part I love is being a character and wearing a costume for a fun photo shoot – all for you readers!
So far I’ve been Cat Woman, Tinkerbell, Wonder Woman, Miss Captain America, and now Little Red Riding Hood is added to the mix. It’s hard narrowing it down to what might be my favourite from all of the years and I know last years Cap costume tips it for me, but this one does come close. I just love them all and I find them all unique in their own way.
I actually purchased this costume a few weeks ago and luckily it wasn’t too cold in the woods when we shot these photos. I did have to do a bit of hiding though when some walkers went by as the skirt area on this costume is incredibly short, but it was all fun! I thought the Little Red Riding Hood costume would suit the thigh high boots though as it gives it more of a mature, darker edge. Plus I loved the velvet material in the burgundy shade, it’s really luxurious for a cheaper costume.
So here I am, in all my Little Red Riding Hood glory, getting into character in the woods. Naive and innocent, then further along, shock and fear sets in as I’m approaching the wolf at grandmas house… and on that note… my what big teeth you have…
