I was recently introduced to the brand HOUSE of BOTTA and I’m pleased to say that I think the concept is incredibly cool! So much so that I wanted to share it with you. The company was founded by two people that believe in female empowerment, wanting to bring more women into business, so they launched in 2017. But what is HOUSE of BOTTA? Let me tell you!
The founders were unimpressed with the high street shopping here in the UK as the choices were very limited in style and quality, unless you are ready to pay the high end prices for Gucci, Chanel etc. Being tired of disposable shopping (where nothing lasts more than one season) with every shop offering their own take on specific trends, the duo decided enough was enough and HOUSE of BOTTA was born.
Understanding how difficult it is for new starting brands and designers to get stocked in big retailers, they decided to create a place where quality ideas and collections can be sold straight to the customers. HOUSE of BOTTA contains a selection of 36 brands (and growing) from upcoming fashion designers who are selling their unique clothes and accessories. None of these are available on the high street and every piece is unique, from all over the world.
Quality is key though, they don’t just accept anyone! They hand pick the best brands with a level of quality and uniqueness so it stands out among the crowd. You could say it’s a bit like eBay or Etsy, but for fashion only and from new and upcoming brands, not already established ones. They have brands from all around the globe including France, Spain, Ukraine, Iceland, Denmark and Lithuania, hoping to double this number by the end of the year. How cool does it sound?
As I was browsing around HOUSE of BOTTA and seeing how pretty some of the products were, I wanted to share them with you in this wish list! They really do have some amazing things and the fact that you can’t find them anywhere else online or in the high street makes them even more coveted. I put together a selection of 11 pieces just above, from scarves, skirts, jewellery, accessories, bags, and shoes etc and I love every single one of them! Everything is so colourful, bright and intriguing, I would love them all!
I could see myself wearing so many of these, especially the pink and blue heels – those would look fantastic with black clothes to really pop. The floral skirt has such a wonderful colour palette. Those mirrored purple sunglasses are a dream, they’d be ideal for St. Ives. I can never be without cute scarves and yellow ones are just so reminiscent of the Summer months. I always love a good backpack and can never be without one when I travel, or a cross-body bag, and both of those are too cute! The necklace and ring are statement pieces which I know would embellish any evening look. Then finally, that iPhone case is too pretty for words – it’s feminine, chic and bright!
There was one designer in particular that really caught my eye though – IIIIT+SARKISIAN – as the drawings and prints on the t-shirts and phone cases are so intricately detailed and stunning, I fell in love with them all. The iPhone case above is from the same brand, and they’re definitely pieces that I would love to own, but narrowing down the selection is too hard. I had to choose 6 t-shirts just to showcase to you above as I couldn’t choose just 1, they’re all too nice. The prices are pretty reasonable too as the t-shirts are around £26, and for illustrations like that, I would have expected the price to be a lot higher, wouldn’t you? I’m so happy to collaborate with this store.
– So, what’s your opinion on HOUSE of BOTTA and the items I chose for my wish list? I’d love to hear your opinions on what items you like and the concept of the online store in the comments below here on Raindrops of Sapphire. I’m all for empowering new designers and encouraging women as well.
