Gucci Princetown Loafers With Floral Embroidery Review
As you know, I have wanted a pair of Gucci Loafers for ages! This pair in particular – the Gucci Princetown Embroidered Floral Loafers. I saw these on their website months ago and thought they were incredibly cute, but I wasn’t sure on the pricing of them as they were quite expensive, then as I was thinking it over, I got stung worse with a price increase! They put the price up by £50 from what they originally were which meant that I put these shoes out of my head for a while, well I attempted to… but everyday I found myself back on the website admiring their beauty and checking if my size was in stock.
A week ago, I decided to just go for it and ordered them. I realised I was waiting for nothing in particular and was probably going to get them at some point anyway, so why the hesitation? I put them on my credit card and the rest was history, or so I thought. I wasn’t sure on the sizing originally as I did have a 39.5 in my basket since I’m between a 39 and 40 and thought going in the middle would be ideal, however I kept hearing that they ran really small and I needed to size up, so with hesitation I reluctantly ordered the 40 instead and hoped for the best.
I knew I should have listened to my gut though because when the 40 arrived, they were much too big on my feet and didn’t fit at all, which then left me pondering whether I needed the 39.5 or a full size down of a 39. I went over this for quite a while, then eventually decided to exchange them for the 39.5 and go from there. They arrived last week (the shipping was 2 days from Italy, it’s crazy fast!) and luckily they were absolutely perfect. They couldn’t have a better fit and I regretted not listening to my instinct the first time around. I think they run small for other people because the shoes are narrow, but I have extremely slim feet so that’s not an issue for me, they fit true to size instead. I would say, if you have narrow/slim feet, don’t listen to the sizing up as it’s not needed.
I’m sure you can see what attracted me to these Gucci Princetown Loafers in the first place though, right? It’s the floral embroidery. They’re so stunning! I’ve always liked the plain leather styles, but I wanted something a little more feminine and elegant with some quirkiness to it, so the pink flowers seemed like the perfect choice, and in person they are even prettier than they look in photos. The embroidery is incredible well done and symmetrical, plus as they are lined inside, there’s no hint of the underside of the stitching showing through anywhere. I can’t love them anymore than I do!
Other little details like the little hearts on the inside of the shoe are beautiful too. There’s so much attention to detail, not to mention they are comfortable, they don’t slip off your feet, they don’t give you blisters, and they are so light on your feet that you don’t really feel like you’re wearing shoes. I can safely say I am obsessed! I wasn’t sure if they made my feet look too long originally, but I don’t think they do. I love them. I can’t wait to wear them with my Gucci GG Belt and match them up! What do you think of my Gucci Princetown Loafers with Floral Embroidery? I’d love your opinion!
