Black Skinny Jeans With Nike Roshe & A Gucci Belt

A Gucci Double GG Belt Styled With Nike Roshe & Skinny Jeans

A casual, yet styled outfit is something that I am often finding myself gravitating towards lately. Of course I love dressing up with heels and fancy pieces for a tailored and structured look, but more often than not now I am leaning towards flat shoes and comfortable items that just make my day easier. I usually call it my ‘Blogger off duty’ look as I don’t usually take photos of it, but for this outfit, since I had some fancy accessories and I really liked the colour palette and proportions of the entire ensemble, I had to share.

This entire outfit was centered around my new Gucci Double GG Tan Belt as I wanted something to show it off. This was actually the first look that I wore it with, but due to my schedule, I had to share another one first (the Topshop outfit). Since it’s such a standout piece, I wanted to make sure that everything in this look was a different colour to the brown of the belt, so I chose my Hudson Barbara Skinny Jeans in Bazooka, a Zara Cream Knit, and my beloved Nike Roshe Trainers. For the accessories, I went with my Celine Nano Luggage in Dune and I borrowed Adam’s Casio Retro Watch, as the gold played off the GG buckle nicely. I then finished it off with a little bit of glam with a pink lip and my Kyoto Pearl earrings. Pearls always work for dressing things up!

For an easy wearing look, I have to say that I think this one might be my favourite so far and I can’t wait to replicate it on numerous occasions. Somehow it has the perfect balance of casual, but styled, and I think that has a lot to do with the Gucci GG Belt breaking it up in the middle and the Celine adding some luxuriousness to it. I feel like if it was just the jeans, trainers, and top, it wouldn’t work so well at all. But on a lighter note, I’m so pleased that the weather is warming up so I can wear less layers and focus more on my accessories again. That’s the one thing I love about Spring/Summer! What do you think of my outfit?

P.S. – An update on my Symprove regime. I’m on week 7 and bottle 6 of the 12 week programme, so I’m about halfway through now. My digestive system is so badly damaged though that it’s taking a lot longer for me to notice any drastic changes and results, so I will probably need the full 12 weeks and more of the probiotic to see a difference, but so far I would say that little minor improvements have happened. My bowels don’t cramp as much anymore (unless I’m stressed and anxious or eaten something I’m intolerant to) so they are quite calm unless I’ve aggravated them. I would say they’re feeling a lot healthier each day now too since I’m not suffering with constipation anymore and haven’t for quite a few weeks now. TMI I know, but I’m always open and honest with my health, so there you go! I will keep you updated more as the weeks go by though. Lorna xx.

This is a great casual outfit! I agree, the accessories really make it that little more special than an everyday look, it’s nice! I basically wear a variation of this but without the pretty belt for running around doing errands when it’s cooler! πŸ™‚

Hope you’re having a great end to the week with a lovely weekend ahead!

I admit, the first thing I thought was “What’s she gonna do with a Gucci belt?” I thought it might be obtrusive, with that big double-G thing up front. But this works wonderfully well, especially playing off that vintage Casio watch. (I have one of those, circa 1982, in a silver-ish colour.)

It’s definitely an amazing belt, I think it makes a statement in the right way and adds so much more to my outfits. I wore it again today! That’s cool you have a Casio too!

Lorna I love this casual but stylish ensemble on you! I know what you mean about comfort, as I walk long distances every day and have a physical job handling books in a library, so trainers are a must. But I try to keep the other elements of my look sophisticated and always wear elegant jewellery, for a stylish look overall. I think you’ve mastered the smart-casual look here, and I love the neutral colour scheme, with the belt making a real statement.

I also hope your digestion problems improve soon and you see positive results with Symprove.

Wishing you a positive week ahead!

    Lots of love Saba xx

A great combination of items coming together to make a fabulous outfit. πŸ™‚ The belt is certainly the most stand out item but not to the extent of totally dominating – all the other garments looking great too. I especially like the trainers – they are such a lovely colour. πŸ™‚

    • April 10, 2017 / 7:09 pm

Thank you so much, Steven πŸ™‚ So glad you like it all πŸ™‚ I don’t often wear trainers on the blog, so it was different!

      • April 10, 2017 / 7:29 pm

Yes, I hope you wear these ones more as they will go well with so many different items. πŸ™‚ I like the look of flat shoes more than heels anyway (as I’ve mentioned before to your, then, surprise). πŸ™‚

        • April 10, 2017 / 8:00 pm

Yep, I remember you like flat shoes more. I think you are in the minority of guys there though! But I definitely plan to wear them more on the blog. I’m trying not to worry too much about what to wear and just go with what I want to wear rather than strategically planning everything, it gives me too much stress!

          • April 10, 2017 / 8:15 pm

Yes, I can’t really begin to imagine the stress of all that planning. I usually decide what to wear not much further ahead than half an hour before wearing it. I have a similar policy with planning meals. πŸ™‚

            • April 10, 2017 / 8:31 pm

Ha ha πŸ™‚ Well it works well for you, you always look cool on Instagram!
