The Cupcakes & Cashmere Faux Fur Leopard Coat Outfit

I came across this Cupcakes & Cashmere Elvina Faux Fur Leopard Coat last month and fell in love with it. You all know I have a weakness for leopard print and as it’s freezing right now, faux fur is a must for me. I didn’t know it came in a size XS though as I could only see sizes S, M and L in stock, so I was debating whether or not the S would fit or be too big. The next morning, my basket was empty as it had sold out! I didn’t know until later that day that Emily had worn it on her blog, and that’s why everyone had gone to purchase it and it had sold out completely, which I was gutted about.

I kept checking back daily and it still wasn’t in stock, then to my surprise about 10 days ago, an XS had come in stock, only one left (I assume someone returned it) and I purchased it during the Black Friday sale on Shopbop. Talk about meant to be, right? It’s perfect! The colour and print is amazing, the faux fur isn’t too thick, and it fits really well with a much appreciated zip up instead of hook and eye.

I’ve never actually purchased another bloggers clothes before as not many of the pieces have been my style or have either been a bit too expensive for me, but Emily’s Cupcakes & Cashmere line is one that I love. The clothes are so wearable and they have a more affordable price point, so I’m happy about that. I’m sure I will probably gravitate towards more of her clothes in the future. Have any of you ever bought any fashion bloggers clothes before? I know a few of you purchased my PAIGE Lorna Jeans that I collaborated on with Paige Adams-Geller, but what about an actual proper collection from a blogger?

Anyway, I wanted this Cupcakes & Cashmere Faux Fur Leopard Coat to be the focal point of the entire outfit, so I styled it with all black pieces. I chose my Citizens of Humanity Rocket in Axel, a GAP Long Sleeve Jumper, my Jimmy Choo Melba Booties in Black, and also my new Chanel Wallet On Chain Bag in Black, to glam it up. As the temperatures are much too cold at the moment, I also added in my Topshop Faux Fur Leopard Hat to bring a little more colour and print to the outfit. I will admit though this coat was zipped up to the top when I was walking around, it was too cold to wear it open for longer than 10 minutes. What do you think of my outfit? And do you like the coat?

Oh my gosh Lorna! You look positively lovely and these images are delightful! I adore the coat, and it looks like it was made for you! I wasn’t aware of Emily’s collection and this is the first time I’m seeing the coat, and it’s gorgeous! Wearing all black underneath really allows the coat to stand out, and I love the amazing booties too! Although this coat looks lovely on Emily too, you’ve styled the coat in a very imaginative way and definitely made it very much your own!

    Lots of love Saba xx

Thank you so much, Saba! So happy you like the way I styled it. I love the way Emily wore it too, and it’s something I’d definitely wear it with, but I wanted to put my own take on it, so I’m really glad you love it!

Lorna, I love animal print … this looks so good on the jacket, you look amazing in the jacket, I too love a zipper over hook and eyes for closing a jacket… It’s so nice you were able to get the coat and get a deal on it too xox

The coat certainly looks very warm and I’m sure you’ll have plenty of suitable days to wear it on over this winter. 🙂 It looks so good alongside all of the black in the rest of your outfit. I especially like the boots though – and you know how bad I am at noticing footwear! 😀

Thank you, Steven! Do you think you would have noticed them if there wasn’t a close up of the boots which you had to see? I’m just intrigued! Ha ha 😀 Really pleased you like the whole outfit though 🙂

      • December 9, 2016 / 11:34 pm

I would like to say that I probably would have because they are so distinctive. 🙂 It’s not so much that I don’t notice shoes at all – it’s more that they’re usually the least likely element of an outfit to grab my attention. 😀 But these did jump out somewhat. 🙂

That’s good then 😀 They are quite statement making! I’m sure my velvet Chloe boots would stand out to you too though, ha ha!

Ha ha, because of the furry hat? 🙂

  8. December 9, 2016 / 7:31 am

It is a beautiful coat – looks great with the monochrome black outfit too! 🙂 It’s wonderful when something was sold out but pops back up in your size – even more when it’s on sale!

Hope you have an awesome weekend ahead 🙂

Here is also very cold! I am sure this coat is good for serious winter weather, and the same about the hat… I really loved them both and the way you have styled it along with those beautiful shoes 🙂
I read the blog of Emily from time to time, although recently rather often, so I had no idea about her faux fur 🙂
