Currently Craving: October

It’s that time of the month again where I love to round up and share with you my favourite items of the moment, ones that make it to my Currently Craving Wish List! This month of October has me really craving some warm and season appropriate clothing in the form of coats, jackets, boots, accessories, and of course, new denim! You might have spotted from the collage above that I’m very into leopard print again at the moment. I’ve got leopard print scarves and tops, but I don’t own a coat, so I think that might need to change! I’m also very much into the velvet trend as you know, and burgundy is a huge weakness.

As the temperatures have been dropping drastically over the past couple of weeks here in the UK, I’ve been searching for an extremely warm coat that will keep me from freezing. Last Saturday was horrendous as I was so cold, my body started to shut down and I haven’t had that issue in quite some time. I’ve been looking at faux fur coats and I’ve got a couple ordered so that I wont need to suffer the cold much longer. Normal coats just aren’t warm enough for me no matter how many layers I put underneath, so I’ve come to find that faux fur makes me hot enough to sweat and that’s just what I need! What are you wanting right now? As always, click the corresponding numbers below the images to buy the pieces.

Topshop | ASOS

These two furry coats have been ordered and are on their way to me in the mail! I really hope they are going to fit the bill and keep me snug as a bug in a rug! I wasn’t quite sure on the Topshop coat as it reminded Adam and I of Del Boy (hopefully you get that reference if you’re English) and very 70’s inspired, but fingers crossed it looks ok on me! Have any of you tried it? I saw it in the Topshop store on the weekend and two ladies were trying it on, so I know it’s popular.

When it gets colder like it is now, there’s no room for statement pieces of jewellery, so I often find myself opting for dainty, more wearable pieces. Silver Sale have some gorgeous Opulent Opals which I think are so cute! I have a similar pair of starfish earrings with the blue stones in the middle, so a new pair wouldn’t go a miss! The price is great too since it’s always 30-70% less than other jewellers of their standards. Isn’t that snake ring just really fun? Have any of you got some of their jewellery?

I loved the selection, number 3 is my favorite! What for nice coats you got! I am sure they will look great, with a 70s look, something I like very much. One thing I love is “snake jewellery” 🙂 Loved that ring! I am eager to see you styling one of the coats! Hope you don’t feel that cold again, it’s not a good sensation! Hope you have a lovely weekend, dear Lorna!

Love the burgundy leather jacket in the first collage and the embroidered jumper in the last one! 🙂

Fingers crossed those coats work perfectly for you when they arrive and they keep you cosy!

Hope you’re having a good start to the weekend 🙂

      They are pretty aren’t they?

The thing I like most in these selections is the hat at #5 in the first panel. 😀 So nice!

I get the Del Boy reference but I think enough time has passed now for it to not matter so much. 😉 So long as you don’t wear it with a flat cap. 😀

The weather is certainly changing! I have 2 weeks off work next month – goodness knows what weather I’ll by enjoying then. Snow, at this rate? :O

    • November 1, 2016 / 12:17 am

Darn, I best put my flat cap away then, ha ha 😀

I think snow is a possibility, well maybe by you anyway. We never seen to get it down here, it misses us all the time!

Your taste is always impeccable Lorna! All the items are lovely. I’m sorry to hear you’ve been feeling so cold, and I hope the new coats you’ve ordered will keep you warm and cosy. I love the leopard print looks you’ve shown on the blog in the past (I did actually look systematically through them all one day, entering ‘leopard print’ in the search bar!). A leopard print coat would look fab on you!

    Lots of love Saba xx

Oh really? I didn’t know you did that! Do you like leopard print too? I think a leopard print coat would look really good, I agree!

      • November 4, 2016 / 11:23 pm

I’m a little obsessed with leopard print (you may recall from my blog!). I’m going to be getting my leopard print furry coat out again soon, it feels so comforting when I put it on! That would look great on you Lorna! You can’t go wrong with some tasteful leopard print! xx
