Burgundy Velvet And Black Denim

My Chloe Susanna Velvet Boots & Celine Bag Outfit

I just shared with you my Chloe Susanna Boots in Burgundy Velvet and I couldn’t be more in love with them, as I’m sure you established from my blog post. I wore them out a couple of weekends ago with this outfit here as I couldn’t wait for them to make their debut on the blog. I chose to style them with my Citizens of Humanity Rocket Jeans in Axel, my River Island Roll Neck Jumper/Sweater, and of course my favourite Celine Nano Luggage in Dune. I thought a black and white combination would be the perfect pairing for the boots so that the burgundy velvet could really show through, plus the golden tones are somewhat complementary to the beige colour of my bag.

Some of you might actually recognise this location though as it’s quite famous. Adam and I decided to do the photos at the Royal Crescent in my City of Bath, which is absolutely gorgeous! For those of you not familiar with it, it’s one of the greatest examples of amazing Georgian architecture in the UK, built in the mid 1700’s. This location has been featured in many films, especially period movies around the Jane Austen era as well since she was born in Bath, so it’s definitely an iconic location to visit if you’re ever here. I thought that given how elegant and beautiful of a location it is, it would work perfectly for my Chloe Susanna Velvet Boots and the overall outfit. I’m really happy with these pictures. What do you think of the look? If you have ever visited here, definitely let me know as well!

Those boots surely make a statement and work very well with the pants. I was just shopping for a roll neck sweater today. I like the story behind the location, amazing. Your pictures are always so beautiful Lorna. And that Celine bag, mm mm mm.

Elegant as ever, you always look good. Yes I have been to the Royal Crescent and many other places in Bath mainly shopping and to the many excellent restaurants. They are all better than those here in Swindon.Bath is always a lovely city to visit as you can tell by the number of foreign visitors that are there everyday.

Yeah, we definitely have a huge amount of tourists all the time, they definitely love it here. I’ve been to Swindon many times and I’m definitely not biased, but I don’t find there is much rich history there, but it’s got a great shopping outlet, that’s for sure!

I’ve never been before but that does look like a lovely spot 🙂

I really like your boots too! I have a soft spot for these boots although I’ve never bought them. They look so nice in velvet, especially in the burgundy! 🙂

    Hope you’ve had a great weekend 🙂

This outfit is lovely Lorna, and you look beautiful as always! I can see why you were excited to take your beloved new boots on their very first outing, and this is the perfect outfit to really show them off! With the classic colours and sophisticated handbag, the look is very elegant and grown-up. I like the location you chose for the photo shoot. I’ve seen Pride & Prejudice (the tv adaptation) and studied Jane Austen novels for English Literature, so it’s really nice to see this iconic backdrop featured in your blog post.

    Lots of love Saba xxx

I’m so glad you liked the location, Saba! Jane Austen was definitely a great woman! Happy you love the outfit though and the photoshoot as a whole, that means a lot to me!

This is an excellent outfit to showcase the boots. They look really good with the black and I’m sure that plenty of people must have noticed them as you were out and about. 🙂 The boots also look good against the colours of the paving slabs – especially in that first shot with the slightly red hints.

I’ve never been to Bath but I’ll be sure to check out this location if I ever do go. 🙂

You should! You would love it there 😀 And I’m happy you love everything! You are right, a few ladies definitely were checking out my boots, not sure if that’s because they’re bold or because they liked them, but I love them so that’s what counts 😀

      • October 26, 2016 / 8:00 pm

Oh both, I expect. The boldness drew them in and they liked what they saw. 🙂 But you’re right, it’s your view of them which matters the most. 🙂 Though, of course, unless you look down as you walk then you’ll not see them as much as everyone else can. 😉
