The Navy Knee High Boots Outfit

Ted & Muffy Blade Knee High Boots in Ink Navy Suede

As you all know, I am a huge lover of over the knee and thigh high boots, so much so that I own quite a few pairs of them. Since I have very small calves (they measure 33cm) and a larger foot size of a UK 6 or 7, it means that regular boots never fit me correctly as the calf area is always too big and sloppy. I’m a huge lover of the brand Ted & Muffy (formally known as DUO) since they do boots in all different calf sizes and foot sizes, meaning I can get tall boots that actually fit. As I said before, all of my tall boots are from Ted & Muffy since they are the only brand that fit me perfectly (see all my DUO posts here and Ted & Muffy posts here) and these brand new Ted & Muffy Blade Knee High Boots in Ink Navy Suede are my newest addition to my collection.

I’ve never owned any navy coloured boots before, other than my Hunter Wellies, but it was about time that I did. I am always wearing jeans and navy suede complements blue denim perfectly. Not to mention it’s nice to have a pair of tall boots without a heel too as flats can often be a lot more comfortable during the wet weather. I decided to pair these Over The Knee Boots with my Oasis White Jumper, my ALLSAINTS Grey Coat, my Citizens of Humanity Rocket Crop Jeans, and my Chloe Mini Drew Bag. I thought the combination of blue and grey was a great neutral base, but in a brighter way. What do you think of the whole outfit? And are you a fan of Ted & Muffy boots too?

Love those boots! I never liked the over the knee boot trend but the ones I’ve seen you wearing definitely make me want to try it…they look so much better to me when they are nice and tight and sleek like leggings!

Yes! I refuse to wear any over the knee boots that are loose, it just doesn’t look good as it looks really sloppy like that. They have to be fitted to the calf nice and tight, so they look sleek with jeans!

These boots are so pretty! They will be so cute with tights and dresses for winter!

They are definitely pretty! It was about time I got some navy suede!

I think it’s a fabulous combination. 🙂 The first thing that came into my mind as I browsed through the photos was “sky”. These are all different sky colours – the blue of the jeans, the white of the top and the grey of the coat. I suppose the boots are not really a sky colour but, overall, it’s a strong sky vibe that I’m getting.

The boots and jeans look lovely together and I also like how the coat flows. There are some really nice shapes in this outfit as well as gorgeous colours. 🙂

Oh, but when you say things like “I have very small calves” and then go on to talk about a calf area I get instant sentimental flashbacks to my farm days. I fed lots of very cute small calves in the calf area over the year… OK, calf shed… but calf area is close enough. 😉 LOL

    • October 11, 2016 / 12:49 pm

Oh I never thought of it as sky! I can see what you mean now, it’s a very British sky colour palette with the grey in there though, isn’t it? Perhaps the boots can be the midnight sky? Close enough 🙂 Really glad you love the whole combination though!

Those calves sound so cute! I love baby cows and having a shed full of them would be fantastic!

      • October 11, 2016 / 5:16 pm

Oh absolutely! Yes, the boots can certainly represent the night sky. I wish I’d had that thought myself. 😀 And, of course, you have stars in your ears. 😉

        • October 11, 2016 / 7:31 pm

I do! Starfish, but they count as stars!

“Ink Navy” is the perfect description: they’re almost, but not quite, black.

    • October 11, 2016 / 12:51 pm

Yeah, in some lights they are like black, but other lights they are blue!

This whole outfit fits you perfectly Lorna. And i love these long boots. You had to take size 40 ? The color is superb and these boots make you look taller. Superb !

    • October 11, 2016 / 7:30 pm

Yes, I had to take size 40 in these as they ran smaller. Glad you like the outfit!

You styled those OTK boots perfectly in combination with that grey oversized jacket. I just ordered a similar one in pink and can’t wait to style it (jacket not boots =P) Always a pleasure reading your posts!

It’s very nice that Ted & Muffy boots fit well! I always have the other problem, I have very muscular calves (due to some sports – roller skating for decades and flamenco dancing) and I find it difficult to find boots – so when I find one, I buy some pairs of the brand! I looove boots and your navy one are very beautiful! I didn’t notice that they were navy, it is a nice color and I loved the coat! All very well matched, you look amazing! Hope you have a very nice day!

I think it might depend on the screen and how it shows colours, but they’re definitely navy blue! Ted & Muffy go up to 50cm calf width so I think you would be able to find a pair there that fit you well too! So happy you love the look!

Wow those boots are totally fabulous Lorna! The navy really suits you and is a stylish alternative to basic black, and I love the detail on the back of the boots. The combination of colours in your outfit is lovely, and it’s nice to have some blue tones to brighten up a classic look with neutrals. This is such a chic outfit, and you look stunning as always!

    Lots of love Saba xx

That’s a really cute outfit! Love the purse, too. I’ve never worn boots like that. I’m not sure if I’d think they were comfortable.

    • October 14, 2016 / 11:31 am

They are, they are elasticated at the back so they are quite comfy!
