Waterfall Coats & Thigh High Boots

All Saints Ora Coat With Thigh High Suede Boots

I always feel like I never have much good news about my health lately. On Saturday I started to feel unwell and I went to the doctors on Monday, it turns out that I have a kidney infection. I’ve been on antibiotics, but I still don’t feel well so I have to go back to the doctors as I don’t think it’s cleared up yet unfortunately. I’m thinking I might need some stronger antibiotics, but the thing that’s most annoying is the back ache, the nausea and the shivers, combined with the constant need for the bathroom. I’m honestly trying my hardest to look after myself by eating clean, drinking lots of water etc, but I guess I’m going through it at the moment and it just seems to be one thing after the other. I just hope it clears up really soon so I can start getting things back on track.

Putting my health aside, this is an outfit that I put together on the spur of the moment and actually turned out to love. I decided to wear my All Saints Ora coat (they have 20% off it at the moment with the code Extra20 here), which you saw me wear before with white skinny jeans and heels, but this time I paired it with my new Oasis The Perfect Crew, which I am obsessed with, and my J Brand Maria skinny jeans in Dove Grey. I then decided to wear my Ted & Muffy Empress thigh high boots in Black Suede (similar here) as I thought they would really glam up the outfit. Finally, since there was no colour but the light shades of black, grey and white, I wanted something to stand out and chose my Louis Vuitton Alma BB in Fuchsia Epi Leather. I definitely feel like my style has evolved even more than when I mentioned it last time. As I get older and the months go by, I find myself really gravitating towards staple and key pieces and I absolutely love boots and coats, with a more neutral colour palette. What are your thoughts on my outfit? I’d love to know.

    Feel better soon Lorna!

I love your outfit, everything goes together so well and looks so chic (without looking like you tried too hard).

I find it interesting that you’re making a link between getting older and your style evolving. I can certainly understand how they might be linked. Though in my own case I feel that they are two largely independent processes. It’s thought provoking either way. 🙂

Anyway, I love the outfit. As you know, I always enjoy seeing you doing your bit to raise the profile of the much misunderstood and neglected colour that is grey. 😀 This is a great outfit combination and my favourite aspect this time is the shape of that coat and how it falls. I remember liking it a lot the previous time too.

I’m sorry that you’re unwell at the moment. I hope that the infection clears up soon and that you can really get stuck into 2016 feeling a good bit better. I’ll be thinking positive thoughts and wishing you well. 🙂

Thanks Steven, I am actually feeling quite a bit better now as thankfully the antibiotics have worked! Yay! I hope I can start mending now. Really glad you love the outfit and the grey tones, of course! Yeah for me I don’t feel like it’s independent, I definitely feel a correlation between the two for sure! Maybe I should do a post on it, showing how my style evolved! 😀

I think that’s a fabulous idea. It would make such a great post. Especially for people such as myself who only been reading your blog for a year or so. I’ve dipped back a bit and seen a few of your early entries, of course, and I can certainly see the differences but it would be fascinating to get your take on your evolution and what has influenced your choices over the years. 🙂

You look absolutely exquisite Lorna. You have a real talent for putting things together beautifully. The boots are really foxy, and I love the handbag and cute earrings.

I was so sorry to hear you’ve had further problems with your health. It must be really worrying. I hope you feel better and get back to your full strength again very soon. I’m always impressed by your ability to produce lovely, inspiring content for your blog, even with challenging health problems to contend with. You amaze me!

Sending lots of positive wishes your way for a speedy recovery.

I feel like today all I’ve been seeing are clothes I’m falling in love with. Which is a positive thing, but a negative thing at the same time (my wallet can’t handle it to be honest ahaha). With this what I wanted to say is that I absolutely adore the outfit. From the coat, to the bags, to the boots. And wow. So beautifu. You have a very elegant figure.
