Stylish Country Girl Outfit – Get The Look

A fashionable and stylish country girl inspired outfit

When it comes to Autumn and Winter, being the country girl that I am, there’s nothing I love more than this type of country inspired outfit. Layering a warm padded gilet over a comfortable sweater and then finishing it off with some skinny jeans tucked into wellies, it kind of becomes my signature. As I have felt the first cold days of the season now, I wore a similar combination to this on Saturday and I thought it would be nice to do a get the look inspired post, so you can create a similar country outfit if you like the look. You can see the pieces I chose below, by Barbour, AG Jeans, Joules and Hunter, so it mixes a combination of fashionable and outdoor inspired brands together, to create one look.

When it comes to rain boots, Joules wellies have an amazing selection if you are looking for something a little more fun and quirky. I have a pair of Joules with the pink ribbons on the back, but I chose a more classic pair in navy for this look, next to a pair of burgundy wellies in case you want to switch it up. You probably already know what an avid wellies wearer I am as I have about 8 different pairs now, but I can’t be without them around these parts of the country, especially not when it’s constantly raining. These photos are from last year and earlier this year, when my hair was a lot longer, but you can guarantee I will be interpreting a similar look to these sometime soon! I love the way that it’s so comfortable and casual, but put together at the same time. What’s one of your go to outfits for Autumn?

Yes, this last week has been so cold – as if someone somewhere has flicked an off switch. 😀 Though at the moment my only major concession to the season has been to switch over to woolly hats. I bought 5 the same (but in different colours).

Anyway, these layered combinations work so well for you that it’s not at all difficult to see why you think of them as a signature. I especially like the last photo. Those jeans are gorgeous. However, what really caught my eye is the hood. I love wearing things with hoods. I never (or almost never – it’d need to be really bad weather) actually use the hoods but I just like the look of having them there! Weird, I know. 🙂 I suppose that’d be my autumn kind of look. A woolly hat and a hooded jacket/fleece of some kind. 😀

Thank you Steven 🙂 I actually love hoots on my tops too, I think they add a little something extra to the look. Glad you like the whole outfit though, it’s a fun combination. Your hats sound cool, did you get one in green?

Yes, I went for bright green, pale sky blue, grey, pink and red. I’ve not worn the last two yet. The other three I have. 🙂 I might get more yet. I only paid £10 plus postage in total. 😀

8 pairs of wellies, wow! I think yours now with the waistcoat, are lovely, sweet color! I liked the inspiration, as I love autumn! You look always so sweet, you are very beautiful, everyday! I liked the colors of your outfit, the scheme is very elegant!

I love that vest with your many wellies, goes together well with them. I do think that a polo/rugby and some short shorts is the best outfit to wear with Hunter Wellies. Gives you that fall prep look and long legs look.

Maybe since I’m British it’s why I prefer this style of a padded gilet?

Love it! I love the burgundy colors for fall – yet I don’t have anything in that color…I think I need to change that ASAP! Skinny jeans tucked into boots are also my go-to style in the Fall/Winter!

    Have a great Sunday Lorna!
