All Saints Kit Biker Sweat Jacket with Grey J Brand Skinny Jeans

Time to start layering! That’s how I felt with this outfit on Saturday. It was cold enough to layer up and it was actually fun planning out what I was going to wear. I’m going to start with this All Saints Kit Biker Sweat Jacket as I bought this a couple of weeks ago from their website. It was a bit of a drama actually as I originally tried it in a UK 8, then a 6 and then a 4, and still the 4 was too loose in my arms and shoulders! They have done something with their sizing as they are now stocking a UK 2 which is a US 00 I believe and I’m fitting into that for this All Saints jacket and a leather one of theirs too when my usual size is a 6-8, so I had to send my originally choices back and get the 2, which seemed ridiculous, but it fits perfectly so I’m finally happy!

The Kit is made from a sweatshirt/jersey material, yet it has all the details of the classic All Saints cargo leather biker jacket, so it’s incredibly comfortable, soft and gorgeous! I can definitely see myself wearing this jacket all the time! I didn’t want to stretch out or misshape the sleeves on my biker jacket though, so instead of wearing a normal sweater, I chose my Bishop + Young Sleeveless Sweater to give the effect of knitwear, but without the sleeves so it fits me well still. It’s a great combination! For my jeans, I chose my J Brand Maria Skinny Jeans in Dove that you saw a couple of outfit posts ago. I’m addicted to the grey wash on these, it complements the grey of the sleeveless sweater nicely and it’s the perfect base for the biker jacket. I’m also glad the top is long enough to cover the back pockets on these J Brand jeans too. To keep with the monochrome theme of grey and black, I went with my Zara wedge boots that I’ve had for a couple of years now as they are really comfortable for walking and then finished it off with a subtle pop of colour with my pastel yellow 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Bag (similar here).

On a side note, I attended a really cool Ted & Muffy fashion bloggers event on Thursday and had an amazing time. I’m sure you have seen via my Snapchat and Instagram (@LornaRaindrops), but if you haven’t, I will have a post coming soon on the boots I chose and the store event. In the meantime though, what do you think of my outfit? I’d love for you to comment and let me know what you think of the All Saints Kit Jacket with the grey jeans and other pieces!

I already thought those grey jeans were terrific on you when you wore them a few posts back. 🙂 I actually like them even more in these photos! 😀 Wow!!! How perfectly do they work with that jacket and sweater? This is such an eye catching ensemble and shows just how fun and attractive the colour grey can be.

I’m baffled by the drama that you had in getting the right size jacket. Not baffled that you had the drama (it doesn’t surprise me at all as I have shirts and tops that range from “Small” through “Medium” to “Large” which all fit me the same and I have jeans in different waist sizes and leg lengths which fit me the same) but baffled as to why the clothing industry isn’t more standardized in sizes. Surely it’d be in their own interests if their customers had more confidence and certainty in what size fitted them?

Thank you! I think it’s a good pairing too, I love it! And I know! You would think there should be some sort of standard with clothing, it would be much easier, ha ha.

That’s a lovely jacket, worth all the hassles you had finding the right size! 🙂

And the yellow bag is a nice accessory with all of the neutrals 🙂

It’s about to be that fun time of the year in terms of layering. It’s still warm in California but I know it won’t be much longer before we take out the coats. You look great. I love your boots.

That biker is amazing. I’ve been lusting over leather versions for some months now, completely forgotten how awesome other fabrics work in it too.

I just got a pair of jeans in the same color and cannot get enough of them! Wish I had that problem with jackets…my problem area are my upper arms, ever since I reacted to cortisone and put on a lot of weight, they’ve been huge! I often have to size 3 to 4 sizes up for them to fit into jackets…and alter the jackets to fit the rest..

I saw the event in your snapchat and loved it! Sounded like fun (I mean, it had shoes!!!).

That’s so sad Rosie, I’m so sorry! That sounds horrible. I hope it will get better for you though. I’m glad you got grey jeans, I love grey denim!

The sizing sounds crazy, yes 🙂 It happened to me with shoes 🙂 But anyway you look lovely, I liked the jeans, the jacket as well, the top! And the boots and bag are so great! I always tell you that you look amazing abd that is because it’s true – and elegant! Hope you have a nice week!

I hear you on the size hunt hassle, hon. Not easy BUT you got a perfect jacket in the end and that’s amazing 🙂 It works so so well with those grey jeans (which I so loved in your previous posts & so tempted to get a pair myself). Love the sweater as well, it looks super cozy!
Was Ted & Muffy fashion bloggers event fun? Why am I not following you on Snapchat? Must fix it asap 🙂

Really love your style! So chic. I’ve been eyeing on that AllSaints jacket for weeks and so torn over which size I should get. I am also a UK size 8 so maybe size 2 will do(can’t believe I am getting a size 2 haha). Do you have any difficulties zipping up the jacket?? Thx a lot 🙂

It zips up ok on me but I never really zip up these types of jackets on me, I prefer them open! Are you normally a size 8 in All Saints? I’m between a 6-8 in All Saints and Topshop, but definitely needed the 2 on this one. If we are around the same size, the 2 should fit, but perhaps order a 4 just in case as well? It would be great if you could order via my blog too, then All Saints know you went to the site via my website and I’ll receive a little commission from it (doesn’t cost you anything more at all) if you would be so kind 🙂

Thanks for your insightful post! That jacket looks wonderful on you! I live in the US and am really confused with AllSaints sizing now. I bought the cargo leather jacket not too long ago and distinctly remember the smallest size was a US 0 (UK 4). Now, only a few months later, I see US 00 being offered for the same style (and for several other styles too). I am also really surprised at the inconsistency of the measurements for the same sized items. To be on the safe side, I ordered 2 of the same jacket (both in UK4) and was shocked when one was a whole 1.5″ longer in the sleeves and 1.3″ wider in the bust than the other! I understand that due to the nature of the leather, there might be some inconsistencies regarding colour and texture but I wasn’t expecting such large differences in the measurements. Even though I’ve only worn it a handful of times, it definitely feels like my jacket has stretched out a bit after each use. I’m a little worried that it might end up too loose but oh well…maybe I’ll wear it more in the winter, with a heavier knit sweater. And at least, I’ll be able to zip it up comfortably. 🙂

That’s crazy that you found the sleeve lengths that different! I’ve not tried the Cargo, but I have the Balfern and the Papin, and those vary in sizing too! There’s definitely no consistency here lol 🙂
