Christian Dior MetalEyes 2 Sunglasses in Havana Black
If you have followed my fashion blog for some time now, you will probably know that I have a love for Ray-Ban sunglasses, especially with mirrored lenses. I think I am close to owning 15 pairs of Ray-Ban, so I thought it was about time that I branched out and tried something different! That’s where these Christian Dior MetalEyes 2 Sunglasses in Havana come in! Aren’t they just gorgeous?
I got these Christian Dior sunglasses from OCO Glasses and I’m really glad that I did. Not only are they gorgeous, but the box that they came in is beautiful too. It’s a white rectangular cube with criss-cross detailing over it which opens and closes with a magnetic flap. Inside is a dainty little dust bag to keep the sunglasses in and obviously the frames themselves. It’s really nice to own something unique like this and with expert detailing in the packaging as well.
The frames themselves are different to what I’m used to as well, I’m very much used to the classic aviator shape and these are more of a twist on the cat eye and square lenses. They aren’t too big or too small for my face and they sit really nicely too, which is a bonus. I love comfortable sunglasses that don’t slip down and these are just right. I think this frame shape on these sunglasses is so unique and edgy, it brings such a different look to my face which I actually really love! The plastic on the arms and around the lenses is quite dark, so you can only see the Havana/tortoise shade if a bright light shines on them, but that just adds to the subtlety of them. I also love the curves on the arms and the little Dior logo, I think minimal detailing like that just sets them apart from others.
I’m really glad that I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried Christian Dior sunglasses actually, it’s definitely put the brand on my radar as this is the first piece that I own from the fashion house now and I’m glad that I made it the MetalEyes 2 frames. I can safely say that I am impressed with these and unlike some sunglasses which make everything tinted or a funny colour, these don’t do that and just give a bit of a tan to everything you look at, which is a bonus. Despite the frames looking quite thick and bold, they aren’t heavy either, but they feel really durable, so I honestly can’t fault these sunglasses. I have worn them a few times already and I hope the sunshine lasts a little longer so I can wear them more! I’d love to know what you think of these Christian Dior sunglasses? Comment and let me know!
