They have everything from Michael Kors and Ted Baker to Armani Jeans and Hunter Boots, so there’s something for everyone! My Top Fashion Picks
My Fashion Inspiration
My Michael Kors Selma cross body bag is one of my favourites! It’s the perfect go to bag when you are travelling and definitely one of the better looking Michael Kors bags that I have seen! I have it in the classic brown as you can see, but I definitely want to add a new colour to my collection!
Lace is a fabric that I am obsessed with lately. You may remember this RARE lace skirt and crop top outfit that I wore a couple of months ago, or this gorgeous burgundy lace dress from Opulence. I think lace is such a classy fabric and it’s something that everyone should own!
Now where would I be without my watch collection? You might have noticed that I have a fair amount of Marc Jacobs watches and Michael Kors watches, especially in gold and rose gold, so it’s no surprise that I always gravitate towards new ones! Especially Michael Kors!
Levi’s! The most classic pair of jeans since the 1800’s! I’ve got many pairs, so of course I would include Levi’s jeans in my selection! These ones here are my 501 CT boyfriend jeans, but I’ve included some Levi’s Curve ID jeans up the top as those have an amazing fit for every figure!
Hunter wellies are something I tend to live in during the colder months, and in the Summer actually since it’s raining a lot lately! I’ve chosen the burgundy Hunter wellies in gloss as it’s no surprise that I adore burgundy! I think they will be more versatile then you think!
And finally, some sunglasses! These are of course my Ray-Ban aviators, but I have chosen two other options with more of a cat eye look about them. I think cat eye sunglasses can look really fancy in a classic way, dressing your look up no matter what you’re wearing!
Psyche was launched in 1984 by Steve Cochrane. He had realised he was great at business and fashion after launching another business named Sliced Tomatoes in the town of Redcar in 1982. Steve wanted to bring high end designer brands such as Helmut Lang, Gucci, Dries Van Noten and Prada to the North East of England for the very first time, which he did, and customers couldn’t get enough! Due to demand, he opened a second store in 1988 which quickly became a landmark for the industrial town of Middlesbrough.
In 2002, it came to his attention that a local department store named E. Upton & Sons had gotten into financial difficulties and went into liquidation. Never one to miss an opportunity, Steve sold everything he owned in order to create his dream, this being a department store fashion destination with the feel, style and individuality of an independent boutique. He did just that. Steve created a 35,000 square foot dream!
Over the years Psyche has has won a string of awards along the way, including the much coveted Drapers Fashion Awards on two separate occasions, FHM magazine’s Retailer of the Year, GQ Magazine’s Best Menswear Shop and runner up to Harrods in Department Store of the Year 2012, so it’s a fantastic shop. Psyche is now also among Vogue magazine’s Top 100 Best British Shops voted ahead of Selfridges, Birmingham, and Harvey Nichols, Leeds, and has even achieved the accolade of 34th Best Shopping Website in the World by The Times. How cool is that? The store now carries over 150 brands!
