The Suedette Skinny Jeans And Biker Jacket

7 For All Mankind Suedette Jeans & River Island Suedette Jacket

Happy Friday everyone! I’m really excited as tomorrow I am off pottery painting for my birthday! It’s something I have always wanted to do and I can’t wait! I know it’s a bit of a strange way to spend your birthday, but I’m not really one for doing things normally as I don’t like parties.

As you probably know, suede is one of my favourite fabrics. I have always preferred the look of suede over leather, but I generally don’t like the idea of wearing real suede as clothing. When I saw that 7 For All Mankind had brought out a suedette version of their skinny jeans (meaning faux suede) I was instantly drawn to them! The same goes for this jacket that I have too! I’ve gone for an Autumnal colour palette with the various shades of brown here and the luxurious look of the fabrics, but added in a pop of colour with my bag.

In order to make my posts more detailed and better for you though, I’ve decided to lay them out a little differently now. I’m going to be posting detailed photos of each item and then writing about each product underneath, so you can really get an understanding of them, in a mini review sense. You can buy each piece that way too and of course, if you scroll to the very bottom before you comment, all of my items are listed in one group with links there too for purchasing. I hope you like it! Please do comment and let me know your thoughts on my outfit!

7 For All Mankind Suedette Skinny Jeans –  Like I said, when I saw these faux suede skinny jeans a couple of weeks ago I was completely smitten with them. I have always wanted a suede skinny pant and these are just perfect! They are really light weight and the suedette fabric is really thin and soft, but not to mention super stretchy. These actually feel like super stretchy suede leggings! That’s how amazing they are! I can literally move around freely in these without any trouble at all. I got them in my usual size of 26 and they are true to size, but I could size down to a 25 given the amount of stretch. The brown suede colour is really nice too, very vintage looking and it almost has a faux leather appearance to it. The front pockets are faux to keep things streamlined, but that doesn’t matter! These are definitely amazing and have filled that void I had for suede jeans! (Click here to buy these).

Louis Vuitton Alma BB in Epi Fuchsia Leather – I’ve done a review on my Louis Vuitton Alma BB before, which I know you read and watched on YouTube, but I couldn’t showcase it here with this look and not tell you more about it. I purchased it in London in the boutique on New Bond Street after saving up for it. I wasn’t going to buy it as I was having doubts, but as soon as the sales assistant brought it out and I saw the colour, my eyes lit up like fireworks and I couldn’t stop staring at it and trying it on. That’s when I left the shop with this beautiful bag and it’s been one of my favourites since! The colour is such an intense raspberry shade that it actually matches so many things! Louis Vuitton did an amazing job with this bag! It’s so well made too and I love the Epi grain! (Buy this bag online at Louis Vuitton here and buy similar styles pre-owned at Shopbop).

River Island Suedette Biker Jacket – Like I mentioned above, I have always loved suede style biker jackets so when I saw that River Island had released a suedette version, I couldn’t stop myself. I purchased it in the store about 6 weeks ago and had been waiting for the weather to cool down a bit to wear it. I also acquired it in the black as both colours are perfect! I think the beige shade here though works really well with the brown suede jeans. They compliment each other well and even though both pieces are of a suede fabric, they work together! I took this in a size UK 8 and I’m usually between a 6-8, however on the 6, I couldn’t get the sleeves on as they were too tight, but my arms are bigger than average. (Click here to buy in beige and here in black).

ASOS Woven Cami Top in White – As I have grown up a lot the past year or so in terms of style, I generally don’t like t-shirts anymore unless I’m wearing them for comfort/casual reasons. For styling my outfits though, I now like to wear chiffon style cami tops, like this white one. These are much more classier and dressier in my opinion, they really add something to the outfit instead of giving it a more younger feel. I got this one in a size UK 10 though as the fabric isn’t stretchy and the size 6 or 8 which I usually wear wouldn’t fit over my chest. So, if you do have a larger chest region, size up! (Click here to buy this in white).

TODS Scooby Doo Driving Shoes in Nubuck Tobacco – I’ve shared these TODS shoes with you before in an outfit too, and mentioned about them hurting my feet at the heels, but I wanted to style them with this look anyway as the colour and design matches perfectly with the suede jeans. I did take some invisible socks with me to see if that helped, but they kept slipping down so unfortunately I needed to change my shoes again while out. It’s such a shame as these are absolutely gorgeous but my feet are just too sensitive for them! I might have to try layering on some plasters next time! (Buy these TODS shoes by clicking here).

Suede is always a nice look, and more comfy today than it was some years ago, it use to be quite a stiff fabric when I wore it in my youth LOL … You look lovely as always x

It’s such a great look. Those colours and textures go so nicely together and the outfit suits you wonderfully. 🙂

Pretend pockets though? Hmm, well if you say it doesn’t matter to you then THAT’S fair enough… but that’d just absolutely drive me nuts in pretty short order. My pockets always tend to be put to practical use for money, bank/credit cards and my keys etc. It’s a different matter if you’re carrying a bag, I guess. 🙂 But, just out of curiosity… how many times have you forgotten that the pockets aren’t real and reached for them? 😀

I especially like the photo of you sat on the railing next to the rusty bit and bringing it to life. 🙂

I actually rarely put things in my pocket because women’s pockets in general are tiny to begin with, you can only fit half a phone in lol! It’s why we carry bags 😉 So yep, I’m good without them! Lol! Glad you like the outfit though 🙂

nteresting info… I think I’ve worked this out now using my powers of deduction and logic…

So women’s pocket sizes are very probably just an ongoing conspiracy between the denim industry and the handbag industry to make you all buy lots of bags? 😉 I see… lol 😀

Oohhhhhh what neat color combinations! I also love going all neutral then wearing a pop of color somewhere, like you did with your Vuitton 🙂 Usually I do all black or grey, haven’t tried brown! You pulled it off. Super cute.
